June Claire Dance Center

I preface this review by saying my 4 year old’s dance teacher at this school is very sweet. The good stuff ends there. My Daughter has been going to this dance school for 9 months. Never have we ever made a late payment. The tuition is due the second week of each month. The school was closed on the day she goes to dance on the second week of April so we didn’t pay tuition that day. We attempted to pay it prior on a weekday, but the school closes at 1 pm. The next week we went to give the monthly tuition and the hit the whole class with a twenty dollar late fee! We explained that they were closed for business on the second Saturday our Daughter attends that month, and the response was «that’s no excuse». They would not waive the late fee and insisted she would not get her dance costume we paid in full for, or perform in the $ 35 a ticket recital we paid for until we paid the $ 20 late fee. Not only did they make off with hundreds of dollars of late fees from all parents who didn’t pay the tuition because the school was closed, but they were nasty and rude. They talked rudely about the parents right in front of our faces. It doesn’t end there, the next week, the current monthly tuition was not even due yet and it was the day the my fitted the costumes. They then proceeded to tell us we don’t get the costumes until we pay the tuition THAT IS NOT EVEN DUE YET. We already paid in full for the costumes and tickets! What kind be business is this? The receptionist talks on the phone during the whole class airing her personal business which isn’t pleasant and talks rudely about people while they are sitting right there. The owner was rude as well when we brought up the fact that is is unfair to charge a late charge when the school was closed the day we were to pay it! Needless to say, our Daughter (and other little girls in the current class) won’t be attending this school once recital is done. We prefer to take out business elsewhere.
