Found this great little place while shuttling cars for an AT hike from Pen Mar to Annapolis rocks. We stopped in for breakfast. It was crowded(a good sign) at about 10AM. Ate at the counter and the service was good and the servers friendly. Food was excellent, and the sausage and scrapple were top notch. Only thing that prevented a fifth star was they have no rest rooms. Even so, I’ll be back if in the area.

Simply described as a «diamond in the rough». We were camping at Cotoctin National Park in Thumont, Md. This cozy little restaurant serves some of the tastiest home cooked food I have ever tasted. The service is friendly and prompt. Can’t wait to return.

Breakfast might be 5 star but we arrived too late and lunch was average quality at best.

Food here is always good, fast and very reasonable price to fit the tight budgets. Want the home cooking without doing the cooking then Dixie is the place. Support private owned local run restaurants like Dixie Eatery in Smithsburg, Maryland.

Cute little«coffee shop.» A friend and I stopped in for the first time for breakfast. Pancakes were excellent. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Wait staff was very pleasant and service was great. Constantly filling coffee without looking for a waitress is always a plus. Bacon was disappointing. It was cold and greasy and obviously made hours earlier. It did have a nice taste and I’m sure if made fresh it would have been great.

Delicious food for such low prices! My husband has been to the«Dixie Diner» countless times for breakfast, so we decided to try it for dinner. He had the pork tenderloin with fries and slaw, and I Chicken Parmigiana which was one of the three daily specials. It was just delicious! Such a warm atmosphere and sweet staff! What a pleasure! We will be back for sure!!!

What a wonderful staff. The waitress we had was so nice, she gave us samples of their 2 cucumber sides so we could figure out what to have. I could have eaten just their side dishes. The corn fritters were the best I’ve ever had. This is a tiny place but very warm and inviting. I can’t wait to stop in again when I’m traveling through.

This family diner is darling. The staff kind and attentive. They gave a special gift to my little son on an unexpected Sunday around easter time – a plush toy with bunny ears. So nice. The steamer dog was delicious. The buttery grilled cheese made both my boy and I grin.
