Pleasant View Orchards

I’ve been going here for years… Great quality flowers & plants but won’t be going back after yesterday. Arrived At 4:25 to buy my vegetable plants for my garden & despite a sign right there saying open till 5 they were closed… 2 men there, one was washing his truck the other was inside next to register. I knock on door & he just points to the «closed» sign. Really??? Great service. Not going back, went to chepachet hardware bought my plants there instead.

This place is awesome! Great quality items! Their homemade pumpkin pie is out of this world! Very satisfied with their customer service. my kids and I love how they decorate for each season:) The singing Santa was hilarious!

Good service, high quality flowers and Christmas Trees, and a great environment! This place is family owned and run smoothly. Truly is a pleasure to shop at! I highly recommend!

I stopped by here today looking for one pound sugar pumpkins. I was greated by an older gentleman with a mouth full of food. I told him in was looking for one pound sugar pumpkins. He directed me and pointed out a pumpkin that was much larger than I wanted so I again said I only wanted one pound sugar pumpkins. He then said over there on your left. I was so excited to see them and asked how much. He said $ 1.00 HOW MANY DO YOU WANT? THEN SAID $ 2.00 FOR ONE. I SAID $ 2.00 REALLY? Then he turned his back to me and walked back inside saying «if you don’t want them go home». I said that is just what I am going to do and I left. What he doesn’t know is I purchase thing there now and then but after this I will not ever go there and I will not refer this nursery to anyone.

This old man is a grumpy old Jerk… the place is beautiful though. On June 28^th we had a wedding and I told the bride about the place and she wanted to stop buy to take pictures. I called ahead and asked whoever answered the phone if the wedding party could stop buy for 5 minutes to take pictures, they said it would be great. when we got there the old man threw us all out… he sucks…

SO DISAPPOINTED. The older man (owner?) was just awful to my son. He told me to take him up the street (jaswells) to pick a pumpkin out of the patch because he didn’t like that he picked a small pumpkin up. (Why have them out if you don’t want them to be touched?) My son is very well-​behaved and I took him there to enjoy the scarecrows and pumpkins and this man ruined the experience by yelling at him to the point of my son calling him scary. I told him I was there to buy mums and would be going somewhere else-​which is good because the mums were priced at $ 9.99 and I got them for $ 6 at Smiths and $ 5 at Lincoln Gardens. I am upset I now have to drive by this place that always made me smile because it looked pretty and now have these awful memories.
There are too many places to go in this state with friendly people who want my business. So upsetting that people can be so mean to little kids-​and for what??? I don’t even want to give it one star.

This place has THE healthiest, most beautiful flowers, that you will see on display as you drive by this little gem! I get everything here, for every season, including my Christmas Tree. They also have a cute little store inside that sells various treats such as pies and cookies. In the fall, they have hot toddies to warm you up as you shop. Keep up the great work, Pleasant View Orchards!
