The Husband and I stopped in at 11:30am on a Saturday. This place recently opened, it is a really cute counter service deli, and it’s much larger inside than it looks. He has driven past this place awaiting their opening, so we gave it a shot. They have a handful of specialty sandwiches on their board and a bunch of paninis in the case. He ordered a buffalo chicken panini, broccoli chicken panini, and a muffelatta to try them out. I ordered their specialty waist watcher with some extras – grilled chicken, sautéed spinach, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella – all items listed on their board. My husband requested the paninis be hot, and they put it in the microwave. The insides were still cold when we ate them. He liked them, but I felt the broc/chicken was missing something – flavor. My sandwich was a whole other story. They are apparently out of sautéed spinach, so I was offered fresh, which I took. They said they’d had it all week, but none today.(Which begs the question – how fresh was it?) The chicken was previously cooked and heated in the microwave and devoid of any seasoning. I never got mozzarella. There was also no dressing or mayonnaise on my sandwich, it was dry. They didn’t ask either. There was only one table of eight people, which I will admit seemed rather demanding. They were the type that made the poor kid do table service, were attempting to pronounce prosciutto like they were actually from Italy but completely got it wrong, so you know the type. Some good notes: The Beet salad was fantastic and simple. They had some salads prepared, but a few other options for sides would be nice. Also, the enormous homemade cookie was delicious, they’re definitely worth a stop alone. This is a cute place with potential. The owner did say she had a catering order earlier for 140, and that definitely threw her off her game. I hope they attempt to make the sandwiches more unique by adding some signature seasonings to their cooked items. I also think the paninis could benefit from being freshly pressed or heated in the pizza oven. They really shouldn’t use a microwave to reheat sandwiches, it’s a terrible solution when they obviously have the tools to prepare an amazing lunch. I think the specialties would be far better made completely to order, and most delis around do so. people will wait for a good sandwich to be crafted, and I fully expected to do so. Also, they were out of serving baskets and had to wrap ours. Only having eight people served seems like this is an oversight. A ticket system would ensure proper ordering, this would help them when they become busy for sure. We’ll probably try again in a couple of months to let them work out the kinks. Give it a try, they also have breakfast and a strange assortment of local treats and select Italian items.

This place is very good! I love the illy coffee. I had the caprese sandwich, which is now my new favorite. The pizza has nice thin crust which is delicious! I will definitely be going back to this deli as soon as I can!

I was very excited to try this new deli. They have the illy coffee which is very robust, I just wish they had larger cups for iced coffees — two big gulps and it’s done. Enough about the coffee, the sandwiches and deli items are what make this a great place. The first ever sandwich I tried is now my favorite — The Joey D. It is chock full of Italian ham, provolone, mozzarella, tomato, basil and balsamic glaze all on an Italian roll. My husband tried the chicken Parmesan sand which and they use the breaded chicken from their deli case with sauce and cheese which they then melt in the microwave. I do prefer to have my hot sandwiches toasted in an oven but my husband enjoyed it. I’ve also tried some of the salads from their cases and they were good as well.
