Who checks Unilocal for a review of a University?

I so here every year for a Gordon conference. Great location for this… Funny thing about the bookstore at Bryant. No problem if you need a pack of condoms but if you need some sun screen you are out of luck…

Unbelievable campus, professional staff, always clean environment. Attended a Smithfield Rotary Club event in the Bryant Center. The Smithfield Rotary holds weekly breakfast meetings here and is always accepting visitors and new members.

Quality educational institution with incredible facilities. The campus is absolutely beautiful.

The education alone is outstanding and students will come out very prepared to enter the business world. Career Services is also great. They post students who have attained internships and jobs that creates a competitive environment where students are driven to succeed and get a good job/​internship. In my expereince students left Bryant with a leg up on other students coming out of schools with equal or lesser reputations. If thats where the story ended I would give 5 stars right away but in the real world a lot more factors come into play.
Unfortunately three years later, everyone starts to figure out what they want to do, the grads of other schools (primarily state schools with more general ciriculum) are now up to speed with the Bryant grads and now they have half if not all of their loans paid off while Bryant grads are still up to their eye balls in debt.
Within 5 years these other students are debt free and will be buying their first condos while Bryant grads start to reach the the 25% completetion mark on their loans.
Bottom line is Bryant has a great reputation in the business world but not enough to justify the cost. Put it this way, nobody has ever said to me, «Youre a Bryant grad, well Sir there is your corner office». If money is no issue and you dont want a school with a lot of activities then I would recomend the college.
Back to campus life. President Machtley came in a little over a decade ago and its seems his goal is to convert Bryant into his own little sports academy. Bryant is D1 now in some conference nobody has ever heard of playing colleges that nobody has ever heard of. Its like the tree falling in the woods adage, does anyone really care? Does showing up on the ESPN ticker make a huge difference to anything? Wouldnt playing local collges with real rivalries that Bryant actually competes for incoming students with be more beneficial?
Machtley also unleashed the gestapo on any non sports related campus social life. A prime example was the fencing off of the area inbetween the senior townhouses. Im not saying underage drinking is a good thing but lets live in reality and realize it is going to happen. I personaly would rather see it on campus in a controlled environment rather than students drunk driving back and forht to providence.
I wouldnt trade the friends I made in college for anything but looking back I think I could have made great friends, gotten the same jobs, and be the same place in life without the price tag of my Bryant College degree
