Atmosphere is decent. Service was ok. Food, where to begin. Veal plate sat so long under heat lamp the surface dried and the au jus on the plate had started to evaporate. Veal was more like a roast. Wife’s chicken on salad was dry. Boys fried catfish was good but tarter sauce had weird taste. Fries were barely warm when delivered. Will not return.

Service was great and our food was excellent. We had the garlic hummus for appetizer and Philly Beef Panini as our entrée with corn grits as a side.

Very good and fresh American with an Asian zing. Portions could be slightly bigger but the quality is excellent.

We are visiting family in lacombe and me and my wife wanted to try out a new restaurant. We found Zeas after going to the mall and figured we would try it out. Presentation of the restaurant was beautiful and the menus are very easy to read, choosing what to eat was not so easy! Waitress Elaine was very knowledgeable about the menu. Red beans and rice amazing! Rack of dry rub ribs were amazing! Very happy with the service and food

Dinner was exceptional! Started with cucumber halapeno lemonade which is a brave concoction and was pleasantly surprised with the end result. I had ‘light’ bronze trout which was done perfectly. Quinoa salad and sweet snap beans which I chose as sides were also very good. My wife had casablanca chicken which was served with pita bread and hummus and they were also pretty tasty.

Reheated food, served so obvious! Barely above room Temp! Even the baked potatoes were cooked sometime just not anytime near our visit. If I wanted a frozen hungry man dinner I could have nuked one at home and not paid these prices. They need Gordon Ramsey to pay a visit! Just AWFUL! Just HOWDO you ROASTCANNEDCORN? EWWW!

Standard chain food. Had hoped for more based on the description of the process and unique character of the place as told by my awesome bartender, Stephen. Asparagus was crisp and fresh. The rotisserie chicken with pesto(what they’re known for) was dry ever so slightly-it gave me hope that if cooked properly it could be an amazing experience but it didn’t make the cut tonight. Also lost points for frozen broccoli and styrofoam to go containers. Come on! Ambience was okay but music was a little annoying. Great service though! 50⁄50 chance I’ll come back when driving through town again. That’s at least something.

Not worth the most money they ask. Go behind to Walmart and pick up a better rotisserie chicken for half the he price. Good luck hing it was so the company.

Every time I visit the service is always good and the food is always great. One of my top choices when I’m in the area.

The service was great, the food, not so much. We had the Shrimp Breaux Bridge and a Kobe beef burger. The portions were small. The Shrimp Breaux Bridge had a spicy cream sauce that was well seasoned but had an artificial cheese flavor like it was made with American cheese or Velveeta. The burger, which was cooked to order, wasn’t a cook to order burger; its like mcdonalds asking you how you want it cooked. The patty was thin and contained a lot of odd pieces of tendon and cartilage. It was small and dry. The bun was crumbly. The roasted potatoes side was the best part of our meal. 2 items with 2 lemonades=$ 40

I can always rely on Zea to deliver consistently delicious food with a smile. The Asian Almond Shrimp, Kobe burger, grilled chicken and bronzed trout are among my favorites. I do wish they still had a filet or rib-eye on the menu because sometimes a girl just wants a nice cut of beef. Otherwise, their menu can satisfy any palate. I usually order takeout and noticed they have started stuffing our sides into tiny wells in the to-go plate instead of using the larger styrofoam containers. The portion is smaller than what you would receive when dining in but I’m usually full after my meal so it’s no big deal. If the portion is too small, ask for a separate container… They are usually very accommodating. I hope Zea stays open since we do not have any great food options on this side of Slidell.

Not horrible, but this place is in essence the definition of culinary mediocrity. While essentially implying that all other restaurant food is uninspired, this«inspired American food»(what does that even mean?) is anything but inspiring. Advised that the place is known for its rotisserie, I ordered the beef that ended up being a plateful of gravy-slathered plain old roast beef. My wife got a salad. I ordered two innocent-sounding sides. Despite leaning away from the other local options in an effort to avoid greasy diet-slaughtering piles of lipids, my sides were basically lard-roasted and her salad was a bowl of dressing with green leafy things floating on it. All that said, service was acceptable and the food prep was incredibly fast. No major complaints. If a fancy meat & three is your jam and you’re not trying to impress your pants, this place may be for you.

Well first things first. The taste is a REALLY good. We got take out. It was the most pathetic portions I had seen and for about $ 15. What a rip off. I called to complain and the manager seemed to care nothing about it. She only cared where I was from. Make it right or move along. This place won’t be open for long I have a feeling.

Zea has stepped up and improved with good service, good food. My favorite things to order: zeasar salad, hamburger, thai ribs, chowder. We tend to go during lunch, which is usually fast. Overall, pleasant experiences.

Very impressive, Zea of Slidell! Granted, we got very lucky with our server, Johanna. She was so knowledgable and consistent and recommended some really great things on the low cal menu. I ordered the pork, which was very well seasoned and tender. I got a side of corn grits(always a winner) and sautéed spinach. I was very impressed with my meal and also tried a bite of my mom’s «bronzed”(seasoned a little more than grilled) and it was really great too! My expectations were surpassed and I will certainly return!

*** update*** They were wonderful. The waiter was new to a larger section. Very upset with himself for not greeting us. He took care of the bill and the GM came out to apologize. Sitting here waiting for my food. First impressions not great. I sat for 10 min before the waiter realized we were here. No bueno. 20 min in. Empty glass of water. He’s been to other tables numerous times. Food just came. Still no water. Shrimp and grits is yummy… Service isn’t great. Must be an off day.

No matter what. We always have the Asian Almond Shrimp to start. This time I had the Trout Lafitte with grilled shrimp, corn grits, & dirty rice. Without doubt, this is my new favorite here. I ate every single bite! «Satisfied» and I’m one hard cookie to please!

Walked in for a pick up order and was greeted joyfully by 4 Zeas workers. Ordered the corn grits — always good everywhere. Pepper jelly spinach salad– tasty as always Mediterranean hummus– always my favorite when dining in! Totally was 24.45 Who doesn’t love Zeas?! Reasonable prices and delicious food.

Man oh man I really love Zea. Can you say Truffle Mac and Cheese? Good lord, that is so decadent and delicious. I think I moaned a little too loudly as I was eating it because I got a strange look from the woman sitting next to me. Order that for sure. It. Is. So. Good. Other great choices are the Duck Empanadas and the Mediterranean Hummus. I’ve had the Trout Lafitte(grilled trout topped with sautéed or fried shrimp and a spicy cream sauce) and the Shrimp Breaux Bridge(shrimp sautéed in herbs and garlic and tossed with penne pasta and a spicy cream sauce). All delicious and so satisfying! This particular location is so beautiful. It’s such a pretty restaurant and the atmosphere is just great. The bar is gorgeous and there’s a great selection of beer on tap and an extensive wine list. On my most recent visit our server, Bobby, was outstanding. He took such great care of us and was so sweet and funny. He was also really patient with my 6 and 4 ½ year old who were acting like animals because they were worn out from an afternoon of shopping. He was able to get them laughing and that is really so helpful for a mommy who wanted nothing more than to tell them to go play in traffic. Just kidding. Sort of. It’s a bit pricy at dinner. I think I’ll stick to lunch in the future since that’s way more affordable. Overall, a superb choice for a nice meal out.
