After a day of shopping where nothing I tried on fit right/looked good, I found three amazing dresses at White House Black Market and fell in love with them all. But rather than being a great experience, it was awful — because as Liz M.‘s review says, the saleswomen were extremely pushy. I was looking for a dress to wear to a conference, and the woman kept bringing me other random things — including a leather miniskirt(???). I think I took 3 things into the dressing room(and the woman looked at me sadly that I only had 3 things) and she probably brought me 10. I finally had to lie and tell her my friend and I were on a tight time schedule and I just wouldn’t be able to try on any of the things she had brought. I did end up buying the dress and love it, but will avoid the store at Old Orchard in the future.

I really like White House Black Market but the saleswomen at this particular store are pushy and almost don’t let you shop for yourself. I needed a dress for a wedding(just a dress) and the woman kept pushing shoes and a shrug and jewlery(all of which I own). When I was checking out and opted not to give my information(and had to bluntly ask if I could just buy the dress), the saleswoman became rude and basically stopped talking to me. Had I not needed a dress so bad I would have walked out.

This location of WHBM is just average — their sale selection is much smaller than the one at Oak Brook, and once the saleswomen realized I was mainly interested in looking for bargains, they lost all interest in helping me. Try Oak Brook for a more expansive collection and rockstar customer service.
