U-Spy Store

I have been going up and back with the owner. He has every excuse under the sun for why he won’t offer customer satisfaction. Only reasons why he takes nothing back and no accountabllity for his employees or his actions.
Stay clear and save your money

People are not very helpful. When I asked questions about the product they didn’t even get up from their chair from behind the register desk and there were 2 workers there and nobody in the very small store. Most products weren’t displaying the video and no returns. So really if its bad quality or can’t get a good angle. you’re out of luck. I wouldn’t buy from there.

why would a business require one to already own a difficult to acquire personal protection device (a gun. in chicago suburbs) to buy another one (a batton?) they told me its not the law. but for some strange reason, its your store policy. no explanation offered to me. no return expected from you. perfect

Not happy with U-​Spy. They will install your shit sideways and then refuse to re-​install it correctly at no charge after you have paid them thousands of dollars. Who the hell reads a DVR box sideways or upside down for that matter?! Spend the money on a well known brand company if you ever need camera video surveillance installation, don’t waste your time and money here.

Their selection of products is pretty entertaining but you have to be careful if you choose to buy something.
My girlfriend got me a toy car with an integrated hidden camera as a birthday gift.
The instructions were poorly translated from Chinese and made no sense. To the best of my ability I just couldnt get it to work properly (wouldnt record video at all, wouldn’t turn off after being charged up, the included SD card was broken and the stand for the car was completely missing from the package).
I don’t hold this crappy product against the store, but their return policy is awful. All sales are final. They do not do refunds AT ALL. And they only accept returns on things that are broken for «replacement or repair». When you return something, you have to leave it with them for 24 – 48 hours for testing before your return is «accepted». You have to ask for a copy of some paperwork that states that you actually left the product with them for testing otherwise you just have to trust them to not lose track of it. Hopefully we will at least get store credit for the return.
I have a hard time recommending a store that doesn’t offer better customer service.

this started off as an innocent shopping trip to purchase some mace but man was I blown away by the selection! I ended up leaving with a shopping cart full of surveillance cameras, gas masks and night vision goggles! I walked around my neighborhood at like 2 am with my night vision goggles til I spooked a neighbor and had to sneak back into my apartment. Anyways wow! this place is great! lol

Great store with great products and knowledgeable staff.
I was directed to the product of my choice and given the run-​down of the differences and advice on the use of the product. I highly recommend them!

This is one of those little stores that’s not a huge chain but maybe has some trick chains inside. There was a man behind the counter in the middle and another younger girl who was working in the back. The man who was there gave us demos of a whole bunch of products including the lock picking tools which totally had us hooked. The guy was pretty funny too, cracking some really clever jokes. There’s a lot of things you can probably find online but they’re way better to check out first hand first, as well as just plain fun. I totally think anyone should stop in there. It might inspire a new hobby for you. Or find something to provide some fun.

Just like the name says, you can find all your spying needs in this store and more…
I went here to purchase pepper spray and found myself looking at all their cool products. Video surveillance? Check. Hidden cameras? Check. Voice Changers? Check. Gas masks? Check! Do you need a bullet-​proof vest? You can buy it here. My mind started racing. I thought «I would look so cool with knuckle rings on», and «That video camera pen could come in handy one day».
Alas, my life is too simple for such things, so I ended up just buying the pepper spray. But this is an awesome store for you to live out your James Bond fantasies.

U-​Spy is a great place to spend some free time. The employees are very entertaining (in a good way) as well as helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell.
This store has a good selection of all the cool «spy» toys, from hidden cameras to bug detectors. This store also caries lock picking tools, pepper spray, hidden safes (i.e. can safes, book safes…), patches… the list goes on and on.
One thing: this store will check IDs and will not sell some items to minors.
I would recommend this store to anyone who is interested in cool tools and toys.

Dear Creepy People: Please stop reading here. This isn’t a place I’d like you to know about.
I’m not quite sure how everything sold in here is legal… but nonetheless, it’s rather entertaining. This place has everything from «how-​to-​catch-​a-​cheater» kits to hidden cameras disguised as common household objects. They’ve got bug detectors (and I’m not talking about lady bugs), car trackers, lock-​pickers, hidden microphones… and much moooore.
BOTTOM LINE: A fun place to stop in and browse; it’s entertaining to see the stuff from crime shows available in real life. Just don’t tell the creepy people it’s all here.
