First of all I got the chicken cordon bleu. Great tasting sandwich and amazing fries. Absolutely love it. Second it took a few minutes to get it which means you M so it’s all fresh. Nothing is done in an instant because you can’t get fresh chicken sandwich in an instant. Lastly employee walks around and asks how everything was. After we replied great thank you, he gave us some fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the house. You can’t put a price on customer service like that. Best experience for a sandwich shop. Definitely coming back.

Amazing hot sandwiches. The only place I would spend a lot of money on a sandwich because they’re honestly that good. The manager here is super nice, he is always there to help me right when I walk in every time I come in. I feel like this place is under rated.

I have to leave a review! I just got home and my husband and I are eating pen station subs as I write. I lived in the east coast and moved back to Chicago 6 months ago. There is so much fast food here deep dish pizzas etc that sometimes all you need is A GOODOLESUB! Hot or cold Penn station is going to make your experience great. I’ve had Penn station for many years on the east coast. I found this gem today on my way home from work… I knew one location in mount prospect but that is really really far. I was happy to find the Skokie location. The young guy in there was super super nice! Subway, quiznos, Italian places etc don’t begin to compare to the quality, quantity and taste of pen station. Their bread is hand made and small in width but don’t let that fool you! There is a ton of flavor in these subway. They all taste so authentic. Hot or cold subs they are all great! Trust me if u want a hot or cold sub and amazing tasting fries go to Penn station. Not to fake meat subway or other places. I vouch for this place. Give it a shot!:)

Came here today for the first time and my wife and I were greeted by the franchise owner. He was super friendly and explained the whole menu to us. I got the philly and she got the italian. First of all, the bread was absolutely perfect. I got my philly with banana peppers and it had the perfect amount of tang. The oil on the italian was very nice and the sandwich tasted great. I will definitely be going back and cant wait to try more items on the menu.

Have been here twice so far and enjoyed it both times very much! First time I had the famous Philly Cheesesteak sub. Second time I had the Chicken Parmesan sub. Both subs were so delicious that I’m not sure which one I want to have again the next time I go. The fries are awesome too. Love how they’re freshly cut and not the usual processed fries you get almost everywhere else. I noticed a 1 star review. All I can say is people have their bad experiences but that doesn’t mean the food nor place is bad. The second time I went there was a small wait but the food came out amazing and even the manager came later to asked how everything was and to apologize for the small wait. Starting a business takes some time to perfect… & of course some people are more understanding than others… I overall really recommend this place! The staff is friendly and the subs are delicious!

To quote my wife, «The bread is phenomenal, everything else sucks.» My wife doesn’t like sweet relish, so she asked if there was pickle relish in both the tuna dead and in the chicken salad. The manager said there was relish in the tuna but not in the chicken salad. However, it turns out the chicken salad also has relish in it. This is something I would expect a manager to know without having to read ingredients. My sons kids sandwich was supposed to come with lettuce and tomato, but it didn’t have either on the sandwich. On top of that they put spices on the sandwich without asking first. Kids don’t usually like spices, so the restaurant should have asked first. Back to the saga of my wife’s sandwich. I brought it back to the manager, and ordered a replacement. I would have expected the sandwich to have been put on the fast track, especially since I mentioned we were trying to make a movie. Needless to say the sandwich came out very slowly, and the. It wasn’t very good.

So happy to find out that Penn Station was near Chicago finally. Been to this location a few times, always great as usual. Manager and staff always are out of their way friendly. I wish there was one closer to downtown Chicago but until then I will continue to venture up here for my favorite sandwich in the world!

First time here and I can not believe I waited so long to try it! It was definitely love at first bite! Service was excellent, place very clean. I ordered the phillys cheesesteak sandwich and I had an explosion of flavor in my mouth and not greasy at all which is a plus. The bread was so fresh I still can’t get over it. I also had the fries which are freshly cut and made. Not too salty just perfect! This is definitely my first trip here of many many more! Please pass the word on! They deserve it! %

Could not be more excited to have a Penn Station in Chicago. Having lived in Chicago for eight years I have struggled to find a great Philly cheesesteak, Penn Station solves this conundrum. Not only is the Philly cheesesteak amazing, there are numerous satisfying sandwiches. Some of my other go-to’s are: Chicken Teriaki Pizza Sub Chicken Cordon Bleu MUSTTRY off menu items: Founders Special(Philly cheesesteak w/extra cheese and a dash of teriyaki) Big Penn(Think In-n-Out Burger or M-Burger, with special sauce) Honestly the entire menu is delicious, best sub shop period!!! I cannot wait until more locations open up in the Chicagoland area. In the meantime I have no issue with the 20 – 25 minute trip from the city to enjoy. Do not forget to accompany the sub with their fresh cut fires, fresh squeezed lemonade and top it off with a fresh baked chocolate chunk cookie!!!

The club sandwich was delicious. The bread to meat ratio was perfect and the veggies were fresh. I wanted it for dinner later in the day and for lunch the next day. I had to try the chicken teriyaki as well because of the all the reviews and I’m torn. The mushrooms, onions and cheese combo add an unexpected texture and sweetness to the savory teriyaki but I wasn’t left craving it hours/days later like the club. The club wins this round. I’m super excited to try the Italian and pizza next visit. Lastly, whatever you do… DONOT place an order without getting a large lemonade and cookie. You can thank me later.

I am SO excited that we finally have a Penn Station in the Chicago area! I’ve missed this so much since I’ve moved here from St. Louis. And when we’re back home it’s usually for some sort of eating holiday so we rarely get a chance to hit this place. My wife and I are vegetarian and pretty much get the philly cheesesteak minus the meat as our sandwich. The fries are amazing and they have sweets that are great but I rarely make room for. They’re fairly new(this location’s staff) so if there’s any kinks to be worked out I’m sure they will. Give it time, time that you’re spending eating delicious sandwiches.

Best toasted sandwiches… PERIOD. I can’t say enough about my love for Penn Station sandwiches. They are everything a sandwich shop should be. The meats are fresh sliced, the potatoes are hand cut and fresh fried, the lemonade is fresh squeezed(using real lemons), and all of this is done in the store itself. The bread itself, which is possibly the star of the sandwich is naked in house(although the dough comes in from a central kitchen). My favorite sandwich is the Italian, followed by the Philly cheesesteak, and then the chicken teriyaki. The italian has pepperoni, salami, ham, and melted provolone with some banana peppers, oil and vinegar, and italian seasoning drizzled on top(I like to add a touch of mayo on my Italian). To say it’s possibly the best tasting Italian sandwich in America is not an overstatement. That can be legitimately argued by many… The Philly cheesesteak is definitely their biggest seller, and there’s good reason why. The meat is extremely well seasoned and grilled fresh right in front of you, the cheese is melted beautifully on top, the grilled onions and mushrooms are a great topping to finish it off(I like to put mayo on my philly). Yummm I am a lifelong fan and will continue to patronize Penn Station forever. So glad they have arrived in the Chicagoland area over the last year or so…

I was not aware of this chain until quite recently, but I have to say that I like them very much. There are a million sandwich shops out there, but what sets Penn Station apart from the competition is the uniqueness of their menu. Turkey, tuna, ham, yeah yeah yeah… zzz. You can get those here, but they also offer more interesting choices such as italian sausage, chicken teriyaki, chicken parmesan, and of course Philly-style cheesesteaks. It makes decision making difficult, but the experience ultimately more satisfying. You can enjoy a sandwich and not be bored to death by your lunch. They also sell french fries as a side, which are so much more fun than potato chips. They offer banana peppers as a topping. Flavorful RED onions, not undetectable transparent bits like most other chains. And marinara sauce! Why does this not happen more often?(Sorry, Chicagoans, but this is by far the best accompaniment for italian sausage. Why do your hot dog stands not understand this?) The sandwiches come in FOUR sizes – 6, 8, 10, and 12 inches. Customers love to have options! So yeah, the variety is great, but also the food is really, really good, so this place is tits in my book. Even the service is warmer than you expect from the average chain. They are probably the second-best lunch option on this chain-heavy stretch of Touhy, just behind the superb Naf Naf Grill.

Penn Station east coast subs come to the Midwest. There is one in Lombard & the one I’m at in Skokie on Carpenter Road is in The Village Crossing Shopping Center. They have a very nice selection of different sub sandwiches & sizes from 6″, 8″, 10″ &12″ subs to choose from. Variety is good. That being said I got the 8″ Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich(WOW what an adventurer) w/sautéed onions, mushrooms, banana peppers & pizza sauce. It was a pretty good sandwich & a nice change of pace from the Subway’s, Qizano’s, Jersey Mikes’s…Overall it was a pretty good sandwich. They also have fresh cut fries in 3 sizes and fresh squeezed lemonade(to be tried in another day) along with the large variety of sandwiches.

Great Philly. Got mine with mushrooms, onions and mayo. Surprisingly, the mayo worked perfectly with the cheese. Went with Boo Boo Hauch. I told Brian about it.

Finally a great place for a sub! This area has all the usual suspects… Sloppy cardboard tasting Jersey subs, Fake Bread Subway, and every sub tastes the same Jimmy Johns. But this my friends is variety! Everything from a real deal Philly cheese steak to chicken salad & Tuna sandwiches to cold cuts. The bread is real… and good. They cut up their own french fries. and make their own Lemonade… DAMN! This place has my Shake and bake seal of approval! Hipster infestation level: No way man this is SKokie!

Had stopped in to try out the new joint. Staff was friendly. Girl offered my daughter a lollipop that was sweet of her. Got my food to go… a philly cheese steak decent size 6″ with lots of meat! It was pretty good.
