While the displays make it appear that they have lots to choose from they in fact do not. I took my son there yesterday for a couple of new pairs of shoes. His shoe size after being measured is a very reasonable 2 and a half. I kid you not when I say that of the three pairs my son picked out not one of them was in stock in his size. We finally went with a size three in a pair he was okay with but not crazy about and went on over to Nordstrom’s where they had the original shoe he wanted in his size. This is not my first experience with them being out of stock of basic sizes so it’s clearly an on going issue.

I brought my wheelchair bound mother to the store. The salesman clearly didn’t want to help her. He passed her off to another salesman even though the store was empty. That salesman claimed the only shoe available was on display and a 9 ½. When I picked out another one, he went in back for a second and again claimed the only shoe available was a 9 ½. I will never go into the store again.

I went to Finish Line for a pair of running shoes last Saturday. Though both the manager and the sales associate were helpful, when I pulled my «new» shoes out of the box three days later, they had clearly been worn, returned and reshelved. I called as soon as I discovered this, and Kyle answered the phone. He was horribly rude and insinuated that I must have worn the shoes, since they were«pretty strict» with returns and the shoes would not have been reshelved if returned worn. I explained that I had not worn the shoes. He asked if I had been offered a discount at the time of purchase, because«if there was something wrong with the shoe, we would have offered you a discount.» They did not, and I would not have purchased them at discount, because I actually, believe it or not, wanted a pair of new shoes. I took them back today, and though they took the shoes back and returned my money, it was not without Kyle doing a lot of sighing and making it known to myself and the sales associate who helped me today that he was annoyed, as if it was my fault that they sold me a preowned, preworn shoe. He said to the sales associate, sigh, «we’ll have to damage these out.» Shouldn’t you have done that when they were originally returned, genius? I have rarely received poorer customer service. My husband likes to shop here since we find ourselves at Old Orchard quite a bit, but my family will no longer be purchasing shoes from this store. First, obviously, the customer service is horribly lacking when you have a good reason(like the store’s own poor reshelving policies) for a return. Second, do you really want to spend your time and money on what you have been led to believe are new shoes only to find out that they are actually someone else’s rejects? I, for one, do not. Save the time and frustration and just go somewhere else.

Just bought a pair of brooks. Just glad someone finally had my size. Kyle helped me for the second time around and both times he was great. Professional and a hard worker. Thanks

Oh crap! What happened to my favorite go-to shoes-for-boys place? Please tell me this was just a one off situation. So first of all we knew we were completely nuts for heading to Old Orchard on Mother’s Day(take four people who hate crowds), but son decided that day was the one and only day for getting shoes. Turns out it was pretty nutso in the store. Typically the service we get is stellar, but today it was painful to first get anyone to help us, and then when we did get help the salesperson just gave us the shoes and went back to the stockroom and never came back! It was super weird. The major bummer is the fact that they didn’t have many shoes on sale in the mom-approved price like usual. I only need shoes to get us through the summer, and since my son will be wearing mostly sandals, I’m not about to pay $ 100! I was devastated that my stroke of luck at Finish Line came to an end, but I’m hoping it was just a unique situation. You can’t please everyone 100% of the time. I’ll be back, but I’m nervous…

Great place to get shoes, tshirts, and workout clothing. They have a lot of great stuff and everything is durable, comfortable, and of great quality. The selection here is excellent!
