Although we were not able to go with custom framing from here, John(the owner) spent a lot of attention to my fiancé and me. He explained the different types of frames, glass, and tried to work with our budget! The customer service we received was amazing and I would recommend anyone who is looking for that great customer service and help to come here! John is very knowledgable about all the products and was extremely friendly! If it was not for budget restraints we would of definitely purchased from John!

John Hennigan did an outstanding job assembling a shadowbox for my son’s 30th birthday. We had hundreds of photos and a baseball to frame. We forgot one important picture the day before it was due and he had it emailed to him and ran to Office Max to copy and resize. Everyone at the party was truly amazed how great it was. I cannot say enough what a great job he did. Thanks again! We will be seeing you for my daughter’s 30th in a year and a half. Sally

Very nice and easier to work with. A little pricey but well worth it for a special piece

John is truly an artist when it comes to framing! I had three 5″ x 7″ photographs that I wanted framed in a composite. Together we picked out frames, inner liners, mats, and inner liner for the mat. This was a complex mounting and John was expert at spacing and color suggestions. The results are breathtaking! I am thrilled with the outcome and recommend the Skokie Fast Frame without hesitation!

I’ve been coming to this place for the last four years. John and Natalie have framed numerous documents for me and even cut some mirrors for frames that I wanted to use. Every single time I’ve gone, they’ve both been extremely helpful and I found their work to be professional and very reasonable. They are my go-to framing place.

My experience at this business started out good but ended up sour. I feel I was taken advantage of and I now have two expensive frames that need to be fixed. I decided to give them my business because I was thinking local and didn’t want to go to the Michael’s store around the corner. I wish I made the latter choice. Here’s the short version of the story. I have a very serious photography hobby. I decided it was time to professionally frame a couple Chicago panoramic photos of mine. They were very helpful in trying to decide what kind of frame to use. Everything was going well until I went to pick up my frames. I noticed the gold inset trim around one of the frames was pulling away and had a wavy appearance. I couldn’t believe he didn’t notice this. It was the first thing I saw when the wrapping came off. Of course he said he would fix it. About a week later I went to pick it up. Can you believe it was still pulling away from the frame. Once again he offered to fix it. I also noticed smudge marks on the inside of the glass. I would give him one more chance. So another week went by and it was ready again. At this point I just wanted my frames. I didn’t even care if he couldn’t fix it. It appeared everything was OK. About a week later while looking at the frames in my home I noticed the photo now had a rippled appearance. I could tell you more from what I found but I’m starting to get angry. I ended up removing the backing and I found the unthinkable. The photo wasn’t even mounted to the foam core. The foam core edging looked like my dog had been chewing on it. The reason the photo was rippling is because it wasn’t mounted to the board. It’s standard practice in framing to bond the photo to foam core! Did I mention they charged me to mount a photo? They also charged me to professionally frame a photo. What a joke! I’ve just noticed the second frame is having a problem with the gold trim pulling away. It’s almost like they know they did a sh***y job. When I speak with them all they offer is to fix it… AGAIN! It’s too bad they have made no attempt to do something to rectify this situation. I’ve sold a large quantity of photos in the past month… all to locals near this store. When they ask me where to go for framing, do you think I’ll recommend Fast Frame in Skokie? Never!!! Most of my customers have used Michael’s around the corner and are very satisified.

I’ve been ‘framed’ as a fool. Not rocket science but price was high. Paid for many add on’s that saleslady pushed on me. Will buy online next time. Work was adequate but price was if I was framing the Mona Lisa! One more thing, their hours are horrible because the place is closed during working hours!

Tremendously helpful and friendly, I wandered on here looking to find out where in the area I could find some hooks to hang some canvas pieces that I have. I figured they didn’t sell them and they don’t but the owner John kindly asked me what I was trying to hang, the size and weight and gave me a few. I looked at some of the frames and admired one and explained I have some things that need to be framed, he did check on the pricing and yes it was a bit high(yes I have good taste) anyhow he went on to say what I picked might be a bit heavy for the size of my stuff, and he also showed me some options that would cost less and have a similar look. A friendly, knowledgeable and generous business person that spared a few hooks and a few minutes of his time with me. He did this knowing that I didn’t need anything framed, I’m impressed. As I left I thanked him and he said he was happy to be of help. Because of this, I will be back with some things that I need to get framed. Once again, thanks John! Someone being helpful, made me feel all Mayberry like.

We are just thrilled with the things we’ve had framed here. Yes, it’s expensive, but that’s custom framing in general, and no reflection of Fast Frame. I’ve have things framed at Michael’s that were no cheaper – even with their mega-coupon – and look crappy AND took a month! The people are very nice and have an eye for helping to select frames and mats, unlike other places where you’d better know what you want and be prepared to pay for it. Furthermore, after framing two pieces there, I got a nice, personally written thank you card and coupon from them in the mail. Unheard of in this day and age of [usually] horrible customer service. I feel good about giving them business and hope you will, too!
