Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment

I went to Dr. Block about 7 years ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I could not find any integrative oncologists in Southern California. Quacks, yes, but MD’s? No. Dr. Block was the real deal. I received over 3 hours of counseling for supplements/​diet and lifestyle changes. The supplements were reasonably priced and not pushed. His herbal formula was the only thing that took care of my hot flashes after my ovaries were removed. BTW, I never received chemo (against the advice of the first 3 oncologists I interviewed) instead I opted for hormonal blockade and Dr. Block’s lifestyle changes. To date I am cancer free :) I don’t know about any other oncologists there, I would insist on Dr. Block if you are going. It was well worth every penny. Good luck and God bless you!

This place sucks. They’re all about the money, and treat you like experimental rats (since they don’t have enough data to back up their practice yet). They’re very unorganized. The oncologist was very rude… Was on his cell phone in the room with us… And says he works a lot more than he wants to… And was fast to get in and out. This place literally sucks.

Have you ever been to a doctor’s office and had to wait at least half an hour before you were seen? *raises hand — me!!! me! all the time!!*
Well, not here — I came here five minutes early, checked in and was seen within five minutes!
The great thing about Block Medical Center is that they believe in not just treating the problem but treating the entire patient. Their setup is very warm and inviting and comfortable. You almost forget that you’re sick once you walk in — they are an integrative cancer treatment center with a lot of holistic methods. They have a great dietician on staff and their staff and personalized attention is just amazing. I cannot stress how wonderful their staff is.
