My son recently got married in Skaneateles and thr Bijou did our hair. They went above and beyond to please and provided a cheerful atmosphere in spite of being super busy with 3 weddings that day. Stephanie styled my wig and I received many compliments. Great business, a wonderful mixture of fun and professionalism. Highly recommended.

I had my hair done here for a wedding as mother of the bride. The whole wedding party did. Most of them were happy with the job their hair stylist Did except for myself and, I hear, one other.
My hair stylist acted like she would rather be ANYWHERE else than in that shop working on my hair. The result was awful. I couldn’t believe she thought that the way she fixed my hair in any way made me look my best.
I immediately went back to my hotel room, washed my hair, started over and did my own hair. That was after I wrote out a check, paying for all the ladies in the wedding party– something I was glad to do for those ladies, but now I wish I could have at least left out the payment and tip for the person who did my hair.
I can not consider coming back here or recommending the place.

I got my hair and makeup done here for my friend’s wedding and I was very impressed by Steph, my stylist. I never get dolled up but now I want to every day! Steph is very talented and fun to talk to. She also styled the bride and she looked gorgeous. I highly recommend this place.
One tip: if you want anything done on the weekend, book early because they are always so busy, especially with weddings in the summer.

I got one okay haircut here, going back a second time was a mistake. Bad hairdressers cut off more hair than you ask every time. Also, I feel dumber for having spent a half an hour with the woman who cut my hair. Don’t be fooled by the cute decorations.

The owner called me concerning my cut! And she was truly worried about my experience and wanted to fix the problem. When I came in she was warm and inviting and really wanted to address the problem and fixed it immediately! She re established my confidence in the salon and her stylist. She also addressed what the stylist did wrong with him directly! She is completely professional and a seasoned stylist/owner!
I will be back with a senior stylist for my next appointment!
