This is my family’s favorite place to eat. Especially brunch time= why? = generally one plate with this quality of food would cost you15 to 20 bucks (especially on «special days»). We keep coming back filling our plates. We like sampling many foods that we order on non brunch occasions = dinner time or taking out worthy guests. I would not recommend coming here because you may make it too popular and busy.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. Food was just ok, no wait… the king crab cakes we had for appetizer were awesome. My date and I both ordered the NY strip steak. This is NOT the place to go for steaks. I asked for mine to be cooked Medium, and it came out medium rare. My date asked for well done, hers came out medium on one part and Medium rare on the other. She tried to eat it when she saw it as medium but when she got to the medium rare said she couldn’t stomach it and sent it back. The waiter seemed shocked it was so red when she asked for well done. So he gladly took it back and they gave her a whole new plate. This time it came back STILL not well done!!! We decided to just take it home to microwave it later. We also substituted the potatoes for lobster mashed. Now those were amazing!!! I ordered a few cocktails. They were made well but the last one I ordered was the Carmeltini and it had no garnish, nothing fancy at all. Just looked like shaken milk in a martini glass that’s it. As I drank it down a bit, I discovered a v shaped crack in the glass!!! I told waiter to take it back and just to remove it off my bill, it was the second thing I had to send back, that was it for me. You don’t pay those prices and have that many issues. I didn’t complain to anyone, I wanted to see if they would give me a discount or something on their own and NOPE $ 103 was on the check, not even a penny removed from the bill for my problem with the steak and my cracked glass. I may come back again only to try the fish and to get more of the lobster mashed potatoes but will steer clear of the steaks!!!

Yum! We came here in need of a Friday Fish Fry and this place delivered! Honestly the perch dinner was awesome, I don’t know that I will eat it at any place other than here in Door County! It came with 3 huge filets of perch, they were super crispy, homemade tarter sauce, cheese potatoes and delicious green beans. All for the great price of $ 18. Most bars are serving bad fish with coleslaw and beans for $ 15. I’d gladly pay the extra $ 3 to eat here, great atmosphere and service.

great Sunday brunch, for $ 15 per. Almost everything had cheese or cream in it, so I was limited, but Diane was in extasy with several dishes. She said the mini meatballs were about the best she has ever had, floating in a sour cream and red wine gravy.

everything was excellent, really. the salad, the crab cakes, the brie and garlic soup, the shrimp, and… everything. although my veal was slightly overcooked. but just slightly, and it hardly hindered my enjoyment of it.
but really the best moment of the evening came when cal (bf’s granddad) said, in response to a story deb (bf’s mom) told about a friend of hers buying a diamond ring even though her husband told her not to:
«typical female response. they don’t get what they want, they just go in a circle to get it.»
