Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

i have to write about today s experience with a waitress .i think the perkins has good food and only once have i gone into it and had a bad food experience. today i was greeted by a non smiling little girl waitress. i asked for a water and received it with minimal ice in it. after a bit i asked for a straw. she proceed to drop on the table and it hit the floor and she picked it up and gave it to me. i told her that i did not want the straw that was dropped on the floor and i thought it was messed up that she would give me something that had visibly in face fell onto the dirty nasty floor. she smirked at me and i verbally told her that next time she got food maybe someone with drop her food onto the floor. i asked for the manager and i quietly tell him what happend. i told him i was not paying for my salad that i had eaten and if he need to call the police. go for it. he tells me after i explain it to him that i am attacking him. i said if i was attacking you i would be yelling and screaming at you and i proceed to tell him i think it is gross that she did that and she smirked and thought it was funny. w ell good thing my impulse control worked today and that i did not feel she was good enough to kick her ass. the blond of red heard what it was was training another girl. i know i know suck it up right. so if she picks up stuff of the floor and thinks it is ok to serve to a customer what else does she not care about? me thinks me gonna think twice

Always a fan of Perkins. Has always been a place where I can sit back relax and sip on some very good coffee. Food here is very good and well prepared and the service has always been excellent for me. Love the breakfasts and that’s what I come here for. If you can get the right booth then you will have a good view of the countryside while you enjoy your meal.
Just arrived back in Iowa and decided to stop here for a small snack before finishing my trip. LOL, took longer than 7 days.

Service was horrible ordered the pick 3 appetizer with onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers it came with a very small cup (no bigger than a quarter) half filled with sauce n a bowl big as the palm of your hand filled to the top w ranch dressing. We asked if we could get some anothet cup of marina since ours was not even full. And they were gonna charge us. Mind you we ordered a complete meal as well. Charge us? No take this huge bowl of ranch that would be wasted by most as it was way too much and give us another little cup of sauce. Waitress calls manager, his name was wolfe, very unfriendly said that’s how we do things n that’s it. Well needless to say we got a to go box for our appetizers and said cancel our order. Waitress said your order is up husband said you can’t spare a quarter size cup of marina keep the order. We paid for our appetizers n left. NEVER WILL RETURN TO THIS PERKINS AGAIN. MAN AGER WAS A JERK. THIS IS THE PERKINS A CROSSIING FROM KMART ON GORDON DRIVE. This was our first n last visit.

Met up with a friend while in the area. Lots of items on the menu to decide on what to eat. I went with the chicken fried steak, mash potatoes, gravy and corn. Small dinner roll is included. Drink was extra. Excellent meal. Waitress. No name tag, but she was excellent. Won’t have any problem eating here again.

Terrible service! I sat for 15 minutes without being asked for a drink order. I actually got up and walked out and nobody asked if everything was okay.

Well what can I say… Service was atrocious. Took nearly an hour to get our food and the waitress never came to check on drinks. Would not recommend based on service. Will not be going back.

Standard and consistent, that is what I would say about this chain location. You always know what you are going to get. Service is not bad and the food is good.
If you are cruising through the neighborhood and you want something that will be very familiar regardless of where you are from, this is the place.

The is always a busy restaurant. There may be a wait for seating, receiving food and your check, but this is due to the hectic pace of a busy place. The food is always hot and good! The baked goods are delicious! The pies are out of this world just like all Perkins are!

Normaly I don’t expect much from a Perkins where I live. But man. This one had horrible service. They took forever to give us our food and our check when we wanted to leave…
