This is by far NOT authentic Mexican food. There was no taste or texture to any of it. Just mushy, bland slop on a hot plate. The staff was less than accommodating and the service was slow. I never even got a refill on my drink to wash down the awful food. Sure it’s inexpensive, but still not worth the money. BTW… They only take cash or check, no card.

Classic Sioux City place-very down to earth and comfortable. The chili gravy is a must on burritos!

On entering this restaurant it feels like you warped to Mexico. not because of the cool atmosphere but because it’s not been updated in at least 30 years. We sat there for awhile discussing updates we’d personally make! This was the only downfall though! Our server was fast and very friendly. I decide to order what a precious Unilocaler had mentioned and it was so good! If I was for food and service alone I’d give them 5 stars, but do to the lacking atmosphere they lose a star. Will be back!

I visit this restaurant every time I’m in Sioux City. The authenticity is not why you visit, but the entomatada and guac is! They can handle our large family and get the order right!

I might give them a second chance, but my meal was bland and not very authentic. Defintely tasted like a high school kid with a bottle of picante threw my burrito together.

sure, this restaurant has been around for decades, and the food is cheap($ 3 for a giant plateful of beef burrito) and the wait staff is friendly, but the cuisine is bland and definitely not what i would call authentic mexican. if you’re looking for truly good mexican food, look elsewhere.
