Cumberland Farms

Cumberland Farms, Simsbury: Keeping this girl and her car fueled since 2015.
After periodically driving past this latest Cumberland Farms location on my way to various destinations while it was being built, I was finally able to stop in a couple of weeks ago and now it has become a regular pit stop.
On my first visit, I filled up my car with well-​priced gas and then made my way into the store in search of coffee milk – an elusive treat prominent only in Rhode Island (where the state drink is coffee milk and the state in which Cumberland originated in). I was greeted the moment I walked in and was very impressed by the selection this store has. There is everything you can think of for smaller groceries, from cereal and milk (and even half gallons of apple cider, for the season) to bread and cases of water and household items like paper plates and trash bags. The store even has its own line of baked goods, with whoopie pies and cookies. I love how many of the packages are individual-​sized – perfect for on-​the-​go snacking! There is also a large station for soft drinks and coffee. I intend to try the coffee next, as it smells absolutely delicious and there is a number of flavors (some seasonal, too)!! Like the gas, all snacks and drinks are reasonably-​priced!
My goal was to see if this Rhode Island store brought some of its state to Connecticut, and it did. I was even more excited when I first stopped in to find that this store does, in fact, sell coffee milk. (This is the only place around here to get it!!) If I have not been in a few days and it gets restocked, definitely try some! (I do try to leave one or two to share.)
The staff of this location is simply outstanding. Each time I have visited, the workers have been incredibly friendly – saying «hi!» to me and to others as we walk in – and efficient at ringing up the flow of customers coming in and out. Between the service and the treats, this Cumberland has quickly and easily become my new favorite pit stop.
Conveniently located near Routes 44 and 185, this Cumberland has everything you need for fuel – for your car and yourself – and outstanding service, and in a very convenient location. I will be back again and again for my car to sip gas and me to sip some coffee milk!
