I live about 5 miles away from this Rite Aid and there is one that is closer to me like just a mile away. The reason I go farther to this Rite Aid is because sometimes they have newest products. Today is a very very bad experience with a cashier named Evelyn. Evelyn wears glasses and a pony tail and she’s more on a heavy side. When I checked out with my Plenti card, which allows me to use the Plenti points without the pin. I learned that from all the Rite Aid associates in the past. That’s why I always bring the card with me for shopping because I don’t know the pin. Upon my checkout, Evelyn scanned my Plenti card, then she asked me for the pin. I told her the fact that I didn’t need it with my card present. Then another associate told her the same thing from the other counter. Evelyn argued and insisted for my pin. I told her to scan my card again, then it just went through no problem. Because Evelyn was wrong, she became very angry and said, «Well we just learned something today. DON“T WE??» She said it with her voice raised and in a very impatient, disgusted & angry manner! I felt like a child who did something wrong and being reprimanded by an adult. Really Evelyn??? By the way, I AM the customers spending money to keep her job there!!! I wanted to file a complain immediately in front of her but there are other customers in line, so I just left. I will NOT be shopping at this Rite Aid for a while because I did not want to run into such a HORRIBLE customer service person. Eveyln SHOULDNOT be in the front dealing with customers at all. NOTATALL! If she does not learn to do this better, she needs to move to work in the back instead. If store manager reads this, please have a conversation with Evelyn and told her never treat any customers in such a disgusted, unhelpful and angry manner! Customers come to spend money and do not deserve to be treated as such :-(:-(

Went here to pick up a prescription. There was an older Asian man working in the pharmacy. I was getting birth control pills, which my OBGYN had prescribed to help regulate my menstrual cycles. When I approached the counter, the Asian man did not look up from his work. I said«Hello,» and then he looked up, but did not smile, kept a very flat facial expression, stating«Can I help you?» in a thick accent. I told him I was there to pick up a prescription, and he asked for my name. I spelled it for him twice(and my last name is only four letters long). During the check-out process, there is an option to click on waiving a discussion with the pharmacist, and he advised me to click on the waiver. I told him that I actually didn’t want to click on the waiver, because I DID want to have a discussion w/the pharmacist because I had questions about my medication. The Asian man looked unhappy that I had questions. I asked him when I was supposed to start taking the pills. He said«Most women start on Sunday so they remember.» This seemed a little odd to me, as the day of the week has nothing to do with a woman’s menstrual cycle, and I would think that it mattered where a woman was in her menstrual cycle as far as starting birth control for the first time(i.e., do you start taking it the day you start bleeding? The day you stop bleeding? The middle of your cycle?) I asked him«Does it matter where I am in my cycle?» He just looked at me perplexed, so I asked him another way, «Since these are birth control pills, do I need to take them at a certain part of my menstrual cycle?» He said«You just keep taking them, wherever you left off.» I said that this was my first time taking the pills, so I there was nowhere that I had«left off.» He looked perplexed again. «Since you don’t know where you are in your cycle, I cannot tell you,» he said. I clarified that I actually did know where I was in my cycle, stating I had bled exactly 31 days ago. He again looked perplexed. I said«Do I need to wait until I bleed again to take these, or do I just start them immediately?» He continued looking like he was at a loss for words and remained silent. «Should I just call my OBGYN?» I finally said. «Yes, yes,» he said, looking relieved, «That would be better.» A female customer behind me sympathetically made a comment to me as I was leaving, saying something like«Wow, that guy was a lot of help! sheesh!» I don’t know if he was a pharmacist, a pharmacy tech, or some other discipline, but I found it troubling that he could not answer my questions and indeed seemed very confused by my questions.

Horrible customer service. Cashier was so rude and condescending. Going to take the extra few miles and go to another store instead of coming here ever again.

So it’s hot out. It’s summer. We wanted an ice cream scoop for the drive home. We walked in and the cashier looked over but didn’t even greet nor say that she would call someone. As we stood there we noticed the water was running in the sink. We walked over and asked the cashier if we could turn water off. She said no and continued to ignore us. So we decided to get the pre packed ice cream instead. As it was our turn at the cashier, I asked again why she wouldn’t turn off the water. She ignored me so I asked her in Spanish. She then answered w an attitude. I reminded her that we are in a drought and that it wasn’t ok even if she wasn’t the one paying the bill. I walked away to take a pic of the water that was still running 10min later. As I walked back the lady was talking to the next customers in Spanish about me. She was rude to my entire party as we left. Little did she know, I wasn’t the only Spanish speaker in my party! The 13&11 year old that were w us were appalled that the cashier would be so rude and take smack in Spanish the way she did. This is HORRIBLE service. Customer Service should be number one and where in the world was the manager!!! I have posted 2 pics. 1– the wastefulness of water 2– the receipt w the RUDE cashiers # on it. Do what you need to do. I would start w a review and training. Good luck to this location. I’d rather go elsewhere after this experience. Happy Labor Day!!!

One star goes to the pharmacy for closing BEFORE9:00pm two days in a row. I’m now suffering, having to go another 12 hours without my medicine — because the someone who should have been there to dispense chooses to be a SLACKER. Grrr Boo Hiss! That aside, the store is kept pleasantly organized, cashiers up front are friendly, and hand-scooped ice cream is hard to beat! :)

Best customer service. Cashier Sherry helped check if item was in stock and called me back to let me know that it was discontinued. Save me another trip to check it out again. A little extra really makes a big difference.

Love this store! It is nice to have a great drug store in our town. Kathy works In the pharmacy and has work for Rite Aid for at least 20 years. She is the very best at what she does. My wife Darci and I have come to love her and thinks she must be the best employee on the planet!

@ Claudia B. sorry, riteaid is not in France, therefore it’s not a glitzy, glamorous pharmacy. I don’t know why everyone is complaining about RiteAid. It’s a great store and the people who work there are nice to you if you are nice to them. Ice-cream is unbeatable. One of the best ice-creams i’ve head and the price is super cheap, fits its name«thrifty»! haha also, i hear a rumor that RiteAid has the best prices on booze in Simi. Gotta love it! the prices are overpriced, but if you are one of those extreme cuoponers then RiteAid is the best place to do it. Sam is the man! nicest guy you will ever meet in your life.

There’s only one reason I’m writing about Rite-Aid…or pharmacies in general in the Simi Valley. Could somebody… anybody…explain to me why drugstores are so few and far in between? I mean, there’s only like 4 in all of Simi Valley… well, maybe more than that, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. I can think of ATLEAST3 – 4 different grocery stores that do NOT have a drug store flanking the shopping center. Yet, in the San Fernando Valley, there’s a drug store every 5 feet it seems. Am I crazy? As for THIS pharmacy/store, it’s a chain. It’s dull, it’s boring, but it’ll do, I suppose… and honestly, it’s the only drugstore within several miles from where I live. Have any of you ever been to «Le Drugstore» in Paris? Now THAT is some store !!! It’s like a glitzy, glamorous department store… ultra cool, chic, and so not like a drugstore in the U.S. Anyway, I digress… so at least Rite Aid has Thrifty ice cream, redeeming on all levels just for that !!!

The guy who gave us Ice cream was really nice and let my patient sample flavors. I took her here cuz she did really well at the park, for exercise n she loves ice cream when she came n I told her the flavors her eyes lit up. She didn’t kno what to chose. So we just picked 2 random flavors.
