Olivio’s Trattoria

Second visit here and it was just as wonderful as the first visit. Everything from being seated to the dessert was exceptional. Service, food, wine, comfortable seating and friendly services. Can’t wait for our next trip to Simi Valley and to Olivos.

Another terrific meal (we haven’t been here for a few months) — the filet mignon, spinach & mushroom risotto was incredible! Great service too. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

This was a wonderful meal. We arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday. By 6 it was full.
We started with the trio appetizer. Caprisi salad, crab cake, and fried calamari & shrimp. Then the best mushroom risotto we’ve ever had. Entrées were chickens Marsalla & Piccata. Everything’s delicious.

Visited for the first time and I was impressed. Had the penne with Italian sausage/​peppers. Incredibly tasty. I don’t think I’ve had a tastier sauce. Fresh bread, and bruschetta, pre-​meal. Nice wine selection and full bar. Liked the avante guard décor in an intimate setting, and the service was attentive and pleasant. I’ll be back.

One of our favorite local spots. The service is always fantastic and the food is wonderful. We typically bring our own wine and love the no corkage policy! The chicken parm and the lasagne are two of our favorites.

Excellent Italian food. The lobster ravioli is consistently exceptional. Done to perfection, never over cooked. The seafood is fresh and also not over cooked. I stress this because too frequently Italian cuisine is either over or under cooked.
If you have never had the chocolate chip bread pudding, try it here it’s wonderful

Myself and two of my cousins came to eat here recently. The food was really tasty, without a doubt. However, the service was awful and the staff ruined the experience entirely.
First, we walked in to a nearly empty indoor/​outdoor dining area with plenty of empty tables. We waited for a while before being approached by the hostess, who was clearly new and not quite sure of what she was doing.
After we were told that there were no tables available for three, only tables for two, we asked if she could move a chair to another table to accommodate three of us. Keep in mind, this is all happening in a half empty restaurant with several empty tables. We were told the other tables were saved for those with reservations. After the hostess awkwardly moved tables back and forth, we were told putting the tables together for three wouldn’t work since it was too tight of squeeze… seriously? We were never told,“there will be a little wait” or «you can grab a drink while we wait for a table to clear up.» We were just told they didn’t have any available room for us. After a few more minutes of painfully awkward interactions and offering to pull a chair up to the two person table, she less than enthusiastically offered us three seats at the tiny bar… again, amongst several empty tables that were apparently being, «held» for other parties. After we were seated, the crappy, slow, lackluster service continued. It took over twenty minutes to even get menus, water, and our dishes. Overall, the customer service and experience was very poor. We were never checked on and it never felt like we were waited on. Upon examining the customer service interactions at other tables, it seemed like it was happening with just us. This is a shame since the food itself was actually pretty tasty and a good sized portion.
At the end when we requested the bill, she brought it over and actually stood near us and waited while I entered the tip on the iPhone… how horribly awkward. We paid the bill and left as quickly as we could. I doubt we will ever be back.

Always a great experience. Lots of fun and great food. Seriously great food! I love it! Can’t even deal with how great the food is!!! Ahhhhhh sooooo good!

By far the best Italian restaurant in the Simi area. The Chicken Picatta is tender, fresh and definitely generous. The salads crisp and delicious. Even the bread is great.

The CLAMS linguini Was great. Also the chicken picata was creamy with just the right touch of lemon. The wine list provided a small but had an excellent choice of good and moderately priced wine by the glass. Seating was comfortable and roomy. Service was excellent and meals came out quickly and hot. Will definitely go again if we are ever in the LA area again.

This is the most amazing restaurant I have ever eaten in. What a wonderful neighborhood find I wish there were more than five stars to rate this restaurant you will not be disappointed in any way give it a try.

Fantastic food and phenomenal service. This place is a true hidden gem in Simi. Support this local business. They are the real deal!

Absolutely delicious. The food was amazing. But, the staff needs to be trained better. Asking for extra dishes, bread, etc. multiple times Is not okay. If your price point is higher end, your service needs to be higher end too. There’s only one other table of customers as I write this. This restaurant has so much potential but needs better management.
Wrote my review before dessert arrived which was amazing but the Crème Brulee had a large chip of another dish inside it. Dangerous!!!

A great experience with this place today! Fast, friendly waitress with top notch pasta quality. We ordered eggplant parmigiana and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant in the future. Finished off our generous lunch portion size dishes with chocolate bread pudding!

Crap food and service 1 manager Chantelle was going to fix it and then the other manager owner Moses called back and said don’t come back to our restaurant
To go food was cold and they refuse to do anything about it but refused service so don’t go there to Viva pasta much better service and food

Great Italian food!
The last time I came they did not have their liquor license, so it was BYOB. We brought our own bottles of wine which they opened for us.
Their food was to die for.
I remember trying their lobster ravioli, and lasagna on separate occasions, which were all impressive. The entire place is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Service was great as well.
Would happily return!

Great little place that the wife and I have always wanted to try and finally were able to. The food was great and the service was good. They have enough seating for roughly 30 people inside and more tables outside in an enclosed area. Very nice place that we will definitely eat at again.

I’m so glad I found this Italian restaurant here in town because it is in a great location and the food was very delicious. I ordered the double cut pork chops with a mushroom risotto and it was mouthwatering. Plus, you can’t forget the hot bread before the meal with the oil and balsamic vinegar. If you’re in the mood for some good Italian food I highly recommend coming to this restaurant and you will not be disappointed in the food choices that you make.

Our large group enjoyed the patio seating that Olivio’s has to offer and I do have to say the service was spot on. The portions are large and fairly priced. I had their shrimp and scallop linguine and enjoyed it. They had an issue with making one of the entrees at the same time as the other guests so they took it off the bill without us having to even ask. And the bread they serve before the meal is good. If I lived anywhere near Simi Valley, I would come here regularly.

We were here a few months ago as a party of 12. Service was fantastic! They did not yet have their liquor license yet, and we ran down the street and grabbed two bottles of red, which they gladly corked for us.
We had so much off of the menu, I couldn’t even begin to list. The minestrone was exceptional, as was the cioppino. Sea Bass is melt in your mouth. Pork chop was to die for.
For being a party of twelve, the servers were attentive, and willing to put up with the array of entrees, appetizers, and desserts flowing furiously around the table as we’re the type of family to share and try EVERYTHING!
My grandparents, who live in Simi, have since gone back here a few times. LOVE IT.
