Was craving some batter fish like in some fish tacos and then I found this spot. I ordered 2 pieces fish and chips. The fish tasted ok but felt the piece were too oily from deep frying. The chips were forgettable no salt no taste. Homemade tarter sauce need more of a zing but ok. Coleslaw that came with I didn’t like at all. First time going here and I didn’t even see a the dept. of health and food rating displayed which should have been my 1st warning but still decided to give them benefit of the doubt.

Interesting little hole in the wall. Had fish & shrimp W/fries. Also ordered the 2 piece, chicken egg rolls. My bad for ordering that much fried stuff as I only ended up eating one egg roll, one shrimp, & coleslaw. The coleslaw that came with the fish was good, it just came in a tiny, little cup. Wth?! The cocktail sauce didn’t taste right either, like old? Tarter sauce was fine. Egg roll sauce was ok. Just wasn’t impressed this trip = lose a star. Cash only with no atm? Lose a star for sure! That is just lame. For the prices,(above with a «large» fountain drink, $ 18.25 before tip), I expected more.

I like this place for take out. I have never had the fish or the chips, but I can say the broasted chicken is really good. They also have good coleslaw, cucumber salad, and deep fried mushrooms. Also, the gentleman who runs this place is a heck of a nice guy. So I suggest you give it a try for take out, but remember to bring some dough because this place is CASHONLY.

Quick dinner on a lazy mans watch. Love the shrimp, fryer string beans and egg rolls. Small place with big taste! One of my local favorites.

Came for the boba during our lunch break and I was so disappointed. I got the milk tea boba and paid $ 3.76. The actual tea tastes good but when I tasted the boba balls it was not good at all. They didn’t prepare it correctly(texture was off) and the center was salty/sour! Never going there for boba again.

ate here about 10 days ago, and had fish and chips. Great fish and good potatoes, but the Cole slaw was a little too small, especially when cabbage is so cheap, i would expect a more generous portion. Well I saw on the menu they had broasted chicken so 10 days later I decided to get some to go, they say it’s marinated for 24 hours, i ordered 4 piece chicken with broasted potatoe, u would think that would be 1 leg, 1 thigh, 1 wing and 1 breast, well when I got home I had 1 leg, 2 thighs, and 1 wing. I was pissed after paying $ 9.40 for this stuff? Where is the breast??? Are you that cheap you are going too do something like that… never again, you people are CHEAP and I was so mad, I was a victim of people that don’t care what they serve, how can they do that, people won’t return to their restraunt when they pull stunts like that, i’m done, never again…

My mother and I visited the other day and each got the lunch special. We got egg roll with our 1 piece of fish, chips, coleslaw and a piece of fried zucchini. A boba drink was shared between us as well. Boba and fish and chips, it’s a different combo. It was pretty satisfactory though. There was ketchup and tartar sauce and even vinegar, all the usual accoutrements. Prices were reasonable as well, we had planned on panera’s but my mom had a hankering for fish and chips when she saw their sign. I think the boba drinks sealed the deal. Nice employees(owners?) working behind the counter. This is a step up from fast food, with maybe a 10 minute wait plus or minus depending on what you’ve ordered. Cheers.

The best fish and chip I’ve ever had! They have other varieties that you don’t see in other fish and chip restaurants!

Not sure about the last three reviews but this place is truly the best. A long time staple in our community, served by some of the nicest families around(mainly husband and wife). The facility is simple and menu is basic with fish, chips, and mostly fried veggies. They recently branched out with a healthy, fish option. The meaty fish pieces are good sized and are cooked to perfection. Tartar sauce and vinegar are key flavoring options. The Milk Tea with Boba is perfect(They have some additional options here). This is one of the few places you can get a Milk Tea, with decent boba, for a very reasonable price. Wish they were open on Sundays :).

Gross! The chicken was greasy, the service was awful, I wasn’t warned about the long wait time for the dish that I ordered, and the place looked dusty. Couldn’t eat haalf the chicken because of the grease, and felt quesy from what I did eat. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I was really disappointed. Since the place is called«Mr. Fish & Chips», I was expecting the fish & chips to be phenomenal. They were absolutely tasteless. It didn’t even come with tartar sauce or lemon! When I asked the guy for some tartar sauce, he gave me another thing of ranch. I’m pretty sure he didn’t know what tartar sauce was. The guy was really nice and we got good service at least.

So this place has a lot of 4 stars??? WTF? The fish are squares… they obviously were made from frozen chucks that the owner probably bought for $.25 cents per piece. They had no taste and were very chewy. Fries were bla… obviously made from frozen crap. Will not be coming back. It was terrible.

When I first came here one mid-afternoon, I was just looking for a small snack. So two pieces of fish should be a small snack, right? Absolutely NOT! The two pieces of fish alone takes up the entire container in width. They were also not greasy at all! So, I came back another day to pick up the«Family Pail» of fish that also came with fries and cole slaw. All were devoured within minutes, sorry, no leftovers. While waiting for my order, I watched as another customer picked up an order of Golden Chicken… Smells good! I think I’ll be ordering that on the next visit!

Me and lunch buddy were going through our old reviews, wondering where to grace with our presence for lunch. This place came up. It’s right by work, and we both seemed to remember liking it. So, after a quick trip to an ATM to grab cash, we left for this destination. We walked in and there was a tiny Asian man behind the counter. My buddy asked for the #2 lunch special(Fried fish, fried onion ring & fried shrimp [or] egg roll) He opted for the egg roll. I ordered the same thing, and went with the shrimp. We paid with our cash(Total was a mere six and change) and sat down at a table. A few moments later little old Asian dude placed bottles of water in front of us. Apparently that’s included in the lunch deals. We did not know that, and were pleasantly surprised. Not too long after little Asian dude brought us our food. It looked tasty… and fried. I dumped vinegar over the whole plate. The fried fish, the fried shrimp, and the onion rings got some vinegar also. As for the onion rings, the onion rings were more fried onions rather than fried onion rings. The shrimp was almost larger than the fish, and the fish was a good sized square. I watched my buddy toss a bit of fish in his mouth and then he did that reaction when you eat something really really hot, you hold your hand over your mouth and chew slowly with an open mouth to avoid further burns in your mouth. I decided to try the water at that point. It was cold and refreshing. My plastic fork easily cut up the fried fish, and I let it sit for a while before eating it. The vinegar and fried fish were quite good. Although it was still hot, I managed to get a few pieces down without too much damage. The Shrimp was also good with the vinegar. After I finished the meal, I noticed parts of the plate had been melted due to the extreme heat of the items that were placed upon it. I wondered how much of the styrofoam I had ingested. But, to be honest I’d do it again. Because that was some dang tasty fish and onion rings. Tasty Food, Cheap, Quick, Cash only. Food is the same temperature as the surface of the sun when first delivered.

I miss this place! I used to come at least once a week during high school. DONOTSLEEP on the lunch specials, they are amazing! For around $ 6, you can get a fried fish filet, a fried zucchini, a small order of fries and small drink. This establishment is more Asian-style than a traditional pub style fish and chip place. The fish filets are not tiny by any means(this is important to know when you look at the prices!), and are battered tempura style. It is a light coating that is crispy, airy and not too greasy. They also offer fried shrimp and veggies, broasted chicken that is flavorful and very juicy, fried wontons and dumplings(see what I mean about«Asian-style?») and other various goods. I like that if you want to order any thing to-go, you can call ahead(saves a lot of time) and that they take the time to score vent holes in the Styrofoam boxes to prevent a lot of steam and moisture buildup. This means less soggy food! Take note, it is cash only. I’d recommend calling ahead because they have your food ready to go for pick up. I’ve only dined in maybe 4 or 5 times, but over the years I have noticed that their service has steadily improved and been more efficient. You used to have to wait forever, but now they are quick, friendly and very accommodating. Mmm, writing this made me want Mr. Fish and Chips now! I would 5 star, but prices are a bit high.
