I really like this place. The produce is fresh and inexpensive. The butcher is good and the deli is the best. Chicken tacos, burritos all great! Great food on the cheap. Yum!

Talk about a hidden gem! Mercados Guadalajra #3 is my new go-to Mexican grocery store in Simi. On the hunt for some carne asada, I typically go to either the local Albertson’s, Trader Joes, or the Vallarta Market. One of my friends who has lived in Simi for his entire life suggested this place. Not even on my radar I found MG#3 with in a mile of 2 of my house. Usually when I buy carne asada the meat is already marinated. At MG3 the meat is taken from the butcher case and marinade is then added to a bag. I was a little taken back by this method but after taking the carne asada home I was pleasantly surprise how tasty the final product was. The meat was tender, well marinaded, and not water-logged. Throw in the fact that they use Harris Ranch products just made this carne asada experience a memorable one. I picked up tortillas, chips, salsa, and guacamole along with my 2lbs of carne and the total came out to less than $ 20! Smoking deal. Not only was the products I purchased fresh and delicious, everything was reasonably priced. To say that I will regularly frequent MG#3 is an understatement. There might be days when I don’t want carne asada(who knows when that will be) but there will be days I want to have the best store bought guacamole in town. The«green stuff» from MG#3 is AMAZING!
