I have been going to see Dr. Loo for many many years as does my husband. Dr. Loo has referred us to specialists when we had cataracts and we were very happy with our follow up. When our kids were older, they started seeing Dr. Loo as well. This past August, Dr. Loo noticed my teenage daughter’s optic nerve was swollen and advised us to go see a neurologist. I got her in for an MRI as soon as possible and she was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma brain tumor. Her doctor referred us to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles where she underwent brain surgery and is now home recovering. If not for Dr. Loo’s thorough exam and expertise, my daughter’s brain tumor would possibly not have been diagnosed until she lost her vision or started having seizures. Dr. Loo saved my daughter’s health and possibly her life… we can’t thank him and his office staff enough!!! By the way, Oscar is an absolute genius in getting the right pair of glasses for you in the office… he is kind, knowledgeable, and the ultimate professional optometrist. Thank you to everyone!!!

Dr. Loo is a great ophthalmologist. His staff is first rate and the office offers both Medical Vision & Optometric services as well. Their Optician, Oscar, is the best I have every worked with. I have difficult and specific vision needs. He outfitted me with fabulous glasses and worked very hard to get the precise refraction for my specific situation. I can’t imagine using anyone else for my vision needs. I highly recommend them both.

Saw the Google reviews and can only say that they cannot be talking about the same Dr. Loo. I saw him 15 years ago when my internist referred me on an emergency, torn retina. It was close to quitting time but he saw me, then found a reputable laser surgeon to do the emergency surgery. On a Friday night! I have my vision today because of Dr. Loo and his medical expertise and contacts in the field. I have been going to him ever since as does my husband. I see many local physicians in his waiting room when I am there. When other docs go, I figure that’s a pretty good sign. My only complaint would be waiting time, but I complain about that with just about every doc! Great selection of glasses, although a bit pricey. But you can always take your prescription to Costco!

I was treated by Dr. Harry Loo for a Pterygium. I was seen promptly at my scheduled time and Dr. Loo was very thorough in his examination and he took the time to explain my condition and what caused my condition. He was generous enough with his time to provide helpful advice to prevent further damage. I came to Dr. Loo, because of his experience, I didn’t care if he was nice or not, I just wanted an expert to look at my eyes; however, contrary to the reviews on here — everyone at his office was very friendly and extraordinarily quick. In all, I spent less than 45 minutes at the office. Lastly, I called around for prices before settling on Dr. Loo, and I found that his practice is the amongst the most experienced and reasonably priced ophthalmologist in the Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks /Westlake area, even compared to others with much less experience. Based on my experience, I would certainly recommend Dr Harry Loo to my friends and family.

My doctor referred me to Dr. Loo when my eye allergies caused serious repeated eye infections(allergic conjunctivitis). His careful way of testing and examining my eyes with appropriate medications and eye care led to healing and longterm health of my eyes. Now dry eye seems to be a problem and I want to wear contact lens again, so I’m gong back to Dr Loo and I’ll let you know how it goes!

If Dr. Harry Loo is your doctor or you are planning to see him please read my comments below and look at the link I provide below so you can be aware of his practices. First, I went in to see this doctor to get a new prescription for my contacts. I told him to check my eyes while he was at it because they had been dry a bit lately. He told me that my eyes were dry and that he could not give me a prescription for my contacts until I finish up a special treatment. He was very nice and seemed very honest and knowledgeable. So I agree and went through the process. He gave me a prescription for some eye drops, then asked me to come back. I did as he told me and went back to see him. I told him my eyes were feeling better. But he said they were not better and needed to give me a different prescription. This one I had to go to the pharmacy. The medication was ridiculous expensive. But I bought it, I did everything the doctor told me. I went back to see him(note that every time I went to see him it was costing me money just to see him for a few minutes). Once again he told me I needed to take more and so i bought more expensive eye drops. Then again went back, then he told me i needed to be in a different one and that one was as expensive as the last medication. By this point I’m already broke with all these doctor visits and the very expensive eye drops. So I did some research online about this doctor and doctors that get kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies. And there it was Dr. Harry Loo receives kickbacks from Allergan. This completely blew my mind because I thought he was actually trying to help me, but in reality he was just trying to make some money. So, if you are going through something similar please post comments on here and please stop going to this doctor. I went to a different doctor soon after I found out and my new doctor told me that my eyes were fine and she gave me a new prescription for my contacts. Here is the database I found that lists all the doctors receiving kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies in the United States. Type Harry Loo under the Name search engine and you’ll see that he is one of the doctors. These are the medications he is prescribing in which he is making money: Alphagan P, Alphagan, and Combigan(glaucoma, ocular hypertension) Lumigan(glaucoma, ocular hypertension) Restasis(dry eye) Sanctura(overactive bladder) Latisse(insufficient or inadequate eyelashes) Juvéderm(severe facial wrinkles and folds) I hope this information helps someone and I hope doctors like this stop doing this. It’s so sad to know doctors care more about money than their patients health.

I was recommended to see Dr. Loo after Dr. Womack found inflammation in my eyes that needed attention from an ophthalmologist. I immediately made an appointment to see Dr. Loo, and was very apprehensive about how it would go. The office staff was very kind, friendly, and even humorous(Abby is charming and feels like your best friend). Dr. Loo was patient and professional, and clearly explained the condition in my eyes and how we would proceed to treat it. He was realistic about what would happen, but also warm and optimistic. It has been a month and things are improving. I think very highly of Dr. Loo and his friendly and efficient staff, and would highly recommend them.

Dr. Loo came recommended by a relative, and he is one of the best eyedoctors I’ve been to. He solved a problem I was having with my eyes and gave me the most accurate prescriptions for glasses and contacts I feel like I’ve had in years. I’m glad I decided to stop going to Costco and go to a private office.
