Fur Grooming Salon & Self Bathe

I took my Siberian Husky, Luna, to Fur the day after I rescued her from the Simi Valley animal shelter. I didn’t know what her temperament would be and she was in pretty bad shape but Devyn at the front desk was very reassuring and helpful. Luna looked so much better after her bath and was so happy and cheerful, I knew that they took such good care of her.
That was over a year ago and Luna still goes to Fur. I absolutely love how much compassion is shown to the pets here. This place is the definition of gentle grooming.

We absolutely love fur. We have been going there a few years now and our dogs are always perfect! I love when I show up to pick them up and they are running around playing with other dogs. Marie, Devon and all the staff are accommodating with getting them in and giving us tips on brushing etc. Nala and Haylee our only children are in trusted hands!

This place is amazing. Nice friendly staff, very welcoming, with fair prices! Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I’ve been here a few times, by far my favorite groomer in Simi. They use organic products and font leave your dog in a crate. They always do a very great job, you can tell they take their time and ensure they did a thorough job. I’m always very happy when I come here!

Ok this was my first time at fur. I called ahead to check on the price and what was included. She told me that for my Golden Retriever it would be $ 19 and would include self service dog washing station and a basket that had shampoo, conditioner and ear cleaning solution. When I arrived there for the first time it was complete confusion a lot of people and dogs showed up at the same time. After about waiting 10 minutes they put me in a self cleaning station. She said she will be right back with my basket of cleaning supplies. After 5 minutes of waiting she checks back with me and says she sorry and would be right back with my shampoo and conditioner. Still after 10 more minutes still no shampoo and conditioner, now I’m thinking how hard would it be to hand me a bottle of shampoo. A groomer sees me standing there with my Golden looking pretty frustrated and after another 5 minutes brings me a bottle of shampoo. I really liked the set up but hated the service. At this point I just wanted to get done and head home. I never received the conditioner and the ear cleaning stuff. I paid and left. I’m I really disappointed I could have been a lifetime customer but I’m pretty sure I’ll never go back.

Went in at 4pm to give my dog a self bath. The hours online stated open till 5. The lady response was I can come back tomorrow. I wont be coming back tomorrow. Another customer walked in after me also to get nails clipped and the lady also told him to come back tomorrow he also stated he wont be coming back tomorrow. I will take my business to Indian Jon

This place is awesome! I took my little buddy here and he came out with confidence. Everyone is very nice and I really like having the option to walk in the back and see how my pup is doing.

Price increase to $ 50 a small dog and they say it’s because of the minimum wage increase!!! No sign on the price increase, no warning, they just charged us! You lost a loyal customer. We can go down the street for $ 35 a dog. Oh and by the way the bill to raise minimum wage was opposed, get your facts straight before blaming something that didn’t happen:

Last time about 3 weeks ago I brought my baby Bella to them, within an hour they called and told me she was ready to go home. I was shock??? Well I am right they didn’t clip her nails and whatever I had requested just not done. What so ever they charged me 50 instead of 45 and I tip them 10… although I am not happy with the service this time. I am now thinking should I bring back my baby to them???

Staff is great! Everyone is so friendly. I love that my dog is always happy at pick up time and they cut his hair exactly how I like it to be done. I recommend this place to all pet owners. This is my only to go place. Great job to all the staff at Fur!

moved here after Petsmart injured my dog. I love the free cages, they don’t keep them locked up for hours before doing their grooming. then when they come out they are relaxed and beautiful. another thing is the store smells clean. great people and groomer. highly recommend

I took my Rottie in for the self bathing station. It was really easy and they supplied everything from shampoo and cleaner for her ears to clean towels and a blow dryer. My puppy hates cold water and I’m happy to not have clogged my sink at home with dog fur. All of the employees were very helpful and nice. It was only $ 19 to use the station and I prefer washing her myself. They also offer to clip nails for tips. I didn’t use that service when I was in, but I will be sure to the next time I take Aly in.

I love these guys, I have been coming here since I had my HUGE black lab. These are by far the best place ever and they are fair on prices! I highly suggest you come here!

After having a few bad experiences with my other dog being groomed, I was super nervous about trying one for my new puppy. I was very happy with this place, the owner was a very kind gentleman that made sure I felt comfortable leaving her there. They took me into the back to see the grooming area and where they would keep her after is was done. They put them in huge crates, not small ones that look like lockers which I was very pleased with. The groomer was very sweet and wanted to know how I wanted her look. They have lots of dog accessories and cute little dog treat that look and taste delicious (Summer ate them up quick). Overall would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I will be taking both my dogs here from now on! :D

Love this doggy salon ! Brought my dog here and she was all anxious and barking in the salon due to being scared and the employees here are sweet hearts and so nice and comforting to my dog and I! The price is amazing only $ 42 for my dog that came with a cut, wash, blow dry, nails cut & ears cleaned ! Amazing compared to pet smart ($ 65)! When I came to get my dog she was beyond happy :) Definitely will come back again :)

This place is amazing. I’m normally from Sherman Oaks but have been dogsitting out here in Simi for the last two weeks. I brought in Paris, a chocolate lab, for a quick self-​wash and a nail trim. I love self washes. It’s a great way to bond with your dog.
The self wash station is adorable. They put you in your own little cubby hole. The tub is high. The staff will help you lift your dog in and out. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Paris has really bad joint problems. She was lifted into the tub. Down. On the table. Down. It’s a lot for her. But!!! Back to how awesome it was. They give you an apron and bring you all the tools to wash your dog. They also provide ear cleaner, which is nice.
Nails. Danny is AMAZING (I’m 90% sure that’s her name). You can recognize her by her minion ankle tattoo (I’m assuming it’s permanent). Paris did not like having her nails done. Danny was super patient and calmed Paris down. She took her time and didn’t rush. We managed to get all her nails done. This place is great because you tip the person who did the nails instead of paying separate (I tipped $ 10, it’s what the vet normally charges).
They’re super friendly and I hope to be back.

So glad I found this place! The staff is very friendly & helpful. I called yesterday and asked for an apt as soon as possible. They were able to fit my pug into the schedule this morning. They answered all of my questions & I didn’t feel rushed. They did a Great job with Coco!!! Will definitely recommend them to my friends.

What is going on? In April, I called Fur to make an appt. for my dogs to get groomed, and they told me I’d have to wait till the end of May. Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? That’s not going to happen. They said they’re down on staff, but gee, this is ridiculous. They cut down their hours, too. Not happy. Plus, I went to Petsmart, thinking it’d suffice in the interim, and my dogs got trimmed way too much. They didn’t know what they were doing. Fur, hurry up and get your staff back in full swing. I miss you !
