Dance Creations

My daughter is 9. We’ve been at dance creations now for 5 years. Unfortunately, it takes a while to really get to know a dance studio. And I’ve definitely given the benefit of the doubt multiple times to finally come to these realizations. To keep it short, I’ll list the reasons we’ve left the studio
1. Lack of technique taught. I’m talking fine tuning. There are only a couple teachers that actually take the time.
2. Over the top preferential treatment. — in all the tons of recitals over the years, it gets old watching the same little kids being plastered in your face. Always in the front, always given special parts. Only to find out it’s the owners niece??? Oh now I get it.
3. Small skimpy outfits, and costumes!!! they’ve allowed and actually picked for young children to wear during the recitals.
(I was appalled at the last one, where little girls had their butts hanging out and complete mid drifts showing.- it was really uncomfortably strange)
4. Lack of personal touch and crapy attitude. I have only this to say about one of the owners– Joanna. She is rarely friendly, and is very partial to certain students. Particularly their competition students. Unfortunately my daughter was not one of them. I won’t go in to the numerous situations. I feel bad for her business partner, because she’s a sweet lady.
Dance creations is inexpensive and will give good deals on multiple classes taken. They also have a couple good teachers. But they also have mediocre teachers. Time to move on to a better dance studio that fits our family value system

Dance Creations is the best dance studio! Both my son and daughter love their instructors and take everything from acro to ballet and hip-​hop. Their teachers and staff are so supportive, encouraging and strive to create a love for dance in their young dancers. And they teach their dancers to be the same way to each other! DC is a haven during this trend to overexpose kids too much; their choreography, music, and costumes are age appropriate yet challenging and current. They produce beautiful dancers. We are happy to be here and part of this dance family!

Best dance studio in Simi. Great teachers and family environment. Wonderful studio for my kids to learn the art of dance.

By far the best dance studio in Simi! I have been dancing here since I was 3 years old and continue to come back from college for classes whenever I can. They’re teachers are the best and it really is a family. I love this place!
