I love this restaurant! The location in simi is limited on their waiting room… and the curbside pick-up can lead to your car being blocked in… but the food more than makes up for it. The sour dough rolls are always hot and delicious. My personal favorite is the shells and meat sauce. If you want to go crazy, ask for a side of the meat sauce to dip the rolls In while you wait. I will preemptively say«You’re welcome.» The pizza never disappoints! The toppings are cooked under the cheese… and it’s always deliciously wonderful. Be sure to check it out!

i have eaten here many times before and had the spaghetti and salad. The sourdough bread is delicious. I always felt their al dente was a little harder than the al dente I enjoy, so have been ordering it firm and been very satisfied. About 2 weeks ago I decided to try the pizza. I’d seen someone on another table or two eating it whenever I go there, so the time was right. I recall it was around $ 20 for a large with 2 toppings. The service is mostly always 5 Star, but it is dependent on the individual; even the less attentive ones aren’t all that bad. Pizza came, was put on the serving stand and both looked and smelled great Crust was done nicely, as a regular crust with enough of an outside crisp but not over crisp crust to handle, although the rest of the crust bends if you want to eat it without folding. Sauce was tasty, cheese was fair — not plentiful and toppings were tasty. Unfortunately, while I was eating it, I noticed an elastic stringy«thing» in the cheese. Not enough of resistence, but as the pizza cooled more I began to pull these little cheese strands out of my teeth. I am not sure whether they are the edge of mozzarella that got hard, or an edge that was part of a packing that was shredded with the cheese — but it turned me off so much that the half pizza I took with me I just threw out without eating. Probably should have complained, when i had it happen a few times but figured it was only in the one piece or two where it was cut. No — it was throughout when i got home and examined it in better light. I look forward to my next plate of spaghetti; there’s always that, with salad..

First time and the ravioli was very good. I tried my friends chicken parmesan which was delicious. Our waiter Christian greeted us with a big smile and was very attentive during our visit. Thank you. Would come back again just for the good service alone.

Chi chi’s is the best«Italian» food in Simi Valley. Their sausage and mushroom pizza cannot be touched by anyone else. The chicken parm was my favorite but it’s gotten kind of salty. Adding a salad to your meal is like $ 5, which is kind of ridiculous. It’s a little outdated inside. Hasn’t seen a remodel since the late 80’s/ early 90’s but they keep the lights low so you don’t notice.

I’ve been eating here for over 15 years and the food is always 10⁄10. The staff is very attentive and polite. If you want great quality Italian food, come here! You won’t be disappointed!

We have been going to this Chi Chi’s Pizza for over 10 years now. And it is DEFINITELY declining fast! We now prefer the Northridge restaurant better if we really crave for their fresh pasta and cheese pizza! 1. The place smells like urine at the front door, maybe coming out from their bathroom old plumbing. 2. No receptionist is at the door to seat people, we were all lining up at the door! 3. Some of the servers are really sloppy and not attentive anymore! All in all, we will NOT be going to this place anymore, and I certainly WILLNOT recommend this place to anyone UNTILTHEYFIXTHEPLACE!!! The food quality is still good, but the place is a total turn-off. It’s just very unpleasant to smell bad before your dinner :-(

Great food and even better service! Agustin and Beto are both such wonderful servers. I love the pizzas, they put lots of cheese. Their linguini in clam sauce is amazing, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend it

Fantastic dining experience. Easy and accurate online reservation system, which included a personalized response from the owners. The wait staff were very efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner, however we did need to climb some steep stairs to get to our table. If stairs are a problem I’m sure you could be seated on the main floor. Our three courses for dinner were absolutely delicious, the wait staff accurately described the dishes, and the recommended wine pairing was perfect.

Ya can’t argue taste, but one can give their take. We like everything on the menu but the pizza. But you just might like it. Damfino why we don’t, perhaps the very strong, odd flavored cheese they use, just doesn’t cut it. Our friends say the same thing. Very good pasta here, and ya have sauce options on most menu items too. Also, an interesting pasta lunch(Mon– Sat) specials too. Always a full dining room at Chi Chi’s, that’s a good sign. Flip a coin if you’ll get good service. Maybe it’s just us. Ya really have to taste their pizza and decide for yourself. Not for us.

I highly recommend eating here at least once in your lifetime. They have Italian food as well as some american foods like fried chicken and mojo potatoes. I highly recommend ordering a pizza and enjoy the rolls and butter while you wait. I also highly recommend the cheese ravioli with white sauce. It’s so good I have dreams about it! Visit their Canyon Country, Northridge, Saugus or Simi Valley, CA locations or visit Lido Pizza in Van Nuys, CA.

Still fantastic. Great service. Great food! P. S. people… this is not a pizza to get loads of topping’s on. If you do, it will be hard to eat holding it by hand. Cheese alone is fantastic. I also suggest pepperoni and fresh onion. The more toppings you get, especially sausage, peppers, mushrooms(one’s that are heavy) are going to weigh down this delicate, thin crust pizza. God forbid you eat it with your knife and fork though! That’s the way most of the world eats their pizza by the way.

Let me paint you the picture of a terrible injustice. My older brother texts me a photo of himself enjoying a fresh pizza from Chi Chi’s in Simi Valley. Meanwhile, I’m stuck in San Mateo, some 400 miles north, unable to smell it, to taste it, to savor it; only able to look upon the photo with ravenous, frothing jealousy. Yes, I froth sometimes. Leave it alone. I grew up eating Chi Chi’s and it is the first restaurant I visit whenever I return home. To quote Queen Elizabeth, this place is real legit, ya’ll, feel me? Authentic Italian food in the Valley — and technically, a suburb of the Valley. But I digress. Point is, if you find yourself hungry in Simi, Chi Chi’s is mandatory. Seriously, scratch any other options off your list of potentials and just drive directly here. There’s a plethora of reasons why there’s a mob of people camped outside the place almost every night. Let me list a few of them: The gods-celebrated pizza! Zeus himself is known to dine here because he can’t get enough of Chi Chi’s pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño pizza. He rests his thunderbolt against one of the roomy booths and always orders his pie with the spicy sauce and well done. Sometimes he’ll even get anchovies on half of his pizza — he can’t care what Hera has to say about it; that girl bunk anyway; she his wife and sister. (Not sure why Zeus is getting all ghetto up in here, but whatev.) The cheese ravioli with white sauce. Order it. Then, dab bites of your pizza into the sauce and ascend into temporary nirvana. The«french fries.» In quotes because these are gigantic potato monstrosities carved loosely into the shape of traditional fries, but that’s where the resemblance ends. They happen to be crispy and delicious, though. The antipasto salad. Chi Chi’s throws everything in its arsenal into the salad. All kinds of meats. Mozzarella. How about some onions? Garbanzo beans? Why the hell not? And yet, somehow it all comes together and tastes wonderful, likely because the dressing is spot on. First pro tip: If you’re going on a Friday or Saturday, prepare to wait a while. Order ahead and pick it up. They have a parking lot pick-up system that works pretty well. Second pro tip: Zeus is a god for a reason. He knows. That’s why he always gets the spicy sauce on a pepperoni, sausage, jalapeño and anchovy pizza. And he always gets it well done. You don’t know better than Zeus! I’m just saying — you might wanna try it.

I have only been here about 5 – 10 times, and I can say that this is place is alright. But I am strong believer that actions are louder than words, and my best friend has been going to this restaurant for 15 years almost every SINGLESUNDAY without fail to play chess with his dad, so they either are doing something right at Chi-Chi’s or my friend is absolutely insane and should be on «My Strange Addictions». Everyone is super friendly and have good conversations with you, unless you get Mario, who is the smooth silent type(my personal favorite waiter). He speaks with his eyes and his massive macho mustache. The feel of the restaurant is kind of awkward in it’s layout, but nothing extremely detrimental. The food is mediocre unless you know exactly what to get: An Arnold Palmer, Antipasto Salad(dressing on the side to dip the bread in), and a pizza. Try the wings, if you are feeling really crazy. Legend has it Mario makes them himself. It’s very family friendly, and holds lots of great memories(like when I split my drink twice in a row the same visit… Mario really loved cleaning that one up.) If you do go on Sunday, look for the Father/Son pair playing chess and drop in and say Hi. Stay Classy Chi-Chi’s!

My husband and I come here for a quick lunch of salad and cheesy garlic breadsticks. We lovvvvvvvvvve the ultra cheeeeeeeeeesy garlic breadsticks that get dipped in their delicious marinara sauce. It’s REALLY good. I get an appetizer salad with ½ grilled chicken breast, which has garbanzo beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and choice of dressing. I also request their«salad cheese» on the side, as well as the dressing on the side because they will put far too much of each on if I let them. I’d rather eat the cheese on the garlic bread. I have no idea how the rest of their food is because I am seriously stuck on these two items.

Another Fairness Update: Chi-Chi’s Pizza is really outstanding; maybe some of the best available in the area. This particular Chi-Chi’s has become one of the families favorite eateries. The food is always great as is the service, even when busy, and I truly appreciate that.

I don’t know what it is about this restaurant but every time I come here I’m always disappointed because the food is horrible. The last time I came here I ordered a pizza with ham, mushroom, olives and sausage and the entire pizza was covered with at least 2 pounds of the sausage underneath the cheese and you couldn’t even eat it. Plus one of the worst things about the pizza is that it’s very greasy and falls apart in your hands. The sandwiches unfortunately are the same way in which they are bland with no flavor in the presentation was not good at all. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again because of too many disappointments in the past.

I came here with a friend for his birthday and we ordered a TON of food for the three of us. I got a custom shrimp dish, tried their cheese ravioli and cheese pizza. Husband had tuscan chicken and tried the pizza, lasagna, raviolis and chicken Parmesan. Table bread consists of sourdough rolls that are pretty tasty. They’re brought fresh to the table and you can order more if you want. Pizza was good, with light fluffy crust that wasn’t sturdy enough to keep from flopping over horribly as soon as you pick it up. Cheese was high quality and tasty. I really enjoyed the cheese raviolis and my cork-screw pasta. The only downside was I asked for no garlic and my shrimp came cooked with garlic which sort of ruined the dish for me, but they shrimp were tender and had good flavor otherwise so I know they know how to cook the stuff, just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Finally, the flourless chocolate cake was also very good and totally satisfied my craving for a sweet dessert. It tasted somewhere between a soft slab of chocolate and a chocolate mousse. Very good and highly recommended. Service was a little slow, but the place was also quite busy. All the staff we met were friendly and upbeat. Restaurant was clean and comfy. Price was very reasonable for all the food and drinks we got. I would not mind coming here again, though it’s probably too far a drive for me to come on my own.

This is probably the first restaurant I remember coming to in my whole life. Pizza is always amazing and my personal favorite is springs pasta with white sauce and chicken. I love it! The complimentary sourdough bread rolls are also huge hit(especially warm!) I love this place and have been coming here my whole life. Service is always bad. Like really really bad. Never had good service once. But the food is so good!!!

Are you old enough to remember the«pizza joints» from the 70’s and 80’s? You know, the fake leather booths, shagadelic carpet and quarter video games? If you answered yes, then I’ve got a treat for you(minus the video games). Chi Chi’s is a throwback to a pizza day gone bye, complete with the booths, family atmosphere and quality ingredients. Of course it’s missing the cigarette smoke from those days but that’s a good thing. When you first walk in you can see the chefs making the orders, which is a cool touch. The restaurant is a bit dated, but in a cool, nostalgic way and not a seedy, ghetto way. It’s clean and large enough to seat a good sized crowd, including groups. In addition to pizza there are pastas and kids meals to choose from. I’ve found the ingredients to be fantastic. The cheese, peperoni and sausage are quality foods and not the processed junk most chain pizza places sell. The service is outstanding with frequent drink checks and good attitudes all around. The ONLY con I noticed was the huge fries with the kids’ chicken finger meal. They were pretty gross. Not a big deal, but I’d advise they stick with normal fries. Some kids(including mine) can be pretty picky. Overall, this is a fantastic place that’s worth a short drive. Cruise back to 1985 and into some pizza paradise! 5 stars!
