Tease Hair Salon

I recently got my hair done at Tease to much disappointment. Sew-​in and color and spent 8 hours, yes 8 hours in the salon. I bought hair from there which was fine but once I got in the chair it was all downhill. My weave install was 165 plus 65 for the color not to mention the hair cost. After the stylist taking numerous clients in between and making me wait hours upon hours past the projected time it was a horrible experience. Do
NOT get your hair colored here. I asked for brown highlights and came home with two red damaged streaks in the front of my hair and that’s after the stylist «correcting». All around horrible experience and a waste of money.

Tease is such a great salon, it’s clean, the stylist are all friendly and professional. I love the environment there, the salon owner is very punctual and organized, her name is Ula. My favorite stylist is Jernell Brown AKA Jenn, she has great skills. I have never been disappointed with my hair. Tease salon not only makes you look and feel your best but they protect your hair. Moving to DC from Miami I had a hard time finding a salon and stylist that met my expectation until I found Tease. Tease get five stars from me! Amazing place!

I am a person who generally does not like to go to the hairdressers. However I had a special occassion coming up and my hair needed care by a professional. I read the reviews on Unilocal for Tease hair salon and the images of gorgeous bouncy magazine quality styling and reviews convinced me to give it a try. I booked an appointment with Jen and I was beyond thrilled with my experience. Firstly she nailed her own Rhianna inspired look. Everyone including the owner were warm, professional, and friendly. The prices were very reasonable, the human hair extensions were of superior quality. Jen was awesome to work with and did an exceptional job with the install. I appreciate that it did not take a whole work day and my entire month’s rent to look red carpet ready. I love her energy, style, sensitive, and fiscally responsible approach. I am a fan and will definitely come back. The only thing the salon may be missing is a little more ambience like self-​serve coffee and tea service. However this is not an imperative but a nice to have idea to keep up with the ever changing chic downtown Silver Spring business district. The salon has been a staple business in the area for over 26 years. They are awesome and I hope they will be around 26 more til forever.

This is my second time going to Tease and I am in love with my hair. The hair dresser Kia has done a wonderful job again. I now have new hair salon that is professonal, has a beautiful interior, wonderful customer service and does great hair. Especially if you are tyring to find a place that does a great weave, you should visit.

This place is great ! I got a full weave, and Jen was my stylist. My installation was pain free, super, super flat, and she did a magnificent job curling and styling my hair at the end!

I recently moved to DC and had no clue where to go to get my hair done. I read a few Unilocal reviews on Tease and decided to take a chance and I’m so glad I did. My hair turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! Ula was very sweet and helpful when I explained the type of hair I was looking for and the hair is very high quality and it feels like heaven! Kia did my sew in and she did a great job! I can be very picky and particular when it comes to my hair and she eased all my fears. Its within walking distance of my apartment and I know this will definitely be my new regular hair salon!

Fiona. At. Tease. Salon. Does (Slays). Natural. Hair.
I live right around the corner from Tease, but never thought to go because I thought they exclusively did weave. I was wrong. Fiona got me in and out in less than 2 hours… on a Saturday *gasp*, I know rare. I have thick, longish, natural hair and Fiona knew exactly what to do. When she was finished, my hair looked super healthy and silky. She took her time and was careful to not use excessive heat or force. Her prices are also reasonable for the DMV.

Went here off a recommendation and I’m glad I did. My usual stylist is in Baltimore and because I live in downtown DC sometimes I can’t get to her as easily as I would like to. Nonetheless I needed a new weave asap. I called made an appointment. When I arrived they were waiting for me at the door with an offering of water. They let me explain exactly want I wanted and they GAVE me exactly what I wanted. Long hair with a bang with my own hair left out at the top. Would definitely recommend them. **also brought their hair-​good quality hair but the bundles are small, for instance you may need 3 bundles for a partial**

Ajah did my sew in weave the very next day after I came in the salon. She was a pleasure! And my hair came out beautiful. I would recommend the hair for sale as well, it’s there in the salon and it’s great quality!

Wow!!! This is my first ever salon visit in Silver Spring for a sew in. but it WONT be my last. The atmosphere is so chill and professional. I didn’t feel like my time was being wasted or I was an after thought as it can feel sometimes in salons. I walked in (with an appointment) late and was instantly taken great care of. I’m super tender-​headed and without even telling her that info she was so patient and gentle.
And my stylist (Ajah) was the BOMB. LOVE LOVE her!!! Came in for a Sew in with a short style for my 10 weave I brought a year ago! she was so kind and flexible with me. My hair looked great I was so pleased. Everyone has been complementing me on my hair but many do not even know it is a sew in until I tell them! Worth the money and the experience :)

Tease was an amazing experience from start to finish. Ula, the owner, is a gem. She was extremely helpful sharing info on the hair source and quality of it. More importantly she was able to get me an appointment with Jennifer, who was an equally amazing weave specialist for the next morning. Jen was attentive, on time, and personable. Plus she only worked on me and wasn’t juggling people which made for a time efficient appointment. Most important came out of the salon looking and feeling brand new. I’ve already told people about Tease and Lotus Hair Extensions.

I’ve driven past this place for years and decided to let my curiosity take over. If you know hair, you know how difficult it is to come across real RAW human hair at a reasonable price !
I purchased the Indian hair and although it was under $ 300 it’s still difficult spending 250+ on hair without fully knowing how it will behave once installed.
I’ve had the hair in for about a week and honestly this is the BEST hair thus far! I get compliments everywhere I go.
Ms. Ula was such a pleasure to work with. She’s friendly, patient and caring. I had other places try to charge me for a consultation. I spoke with ms. Ula for a while before purchasing the hair. It’s a friendly environment and everyone is knowledgable about hair.

I used to get my hair done at Tease but because Ophelia and Tiffany no longer work there, I went with them! I came back to purchase the hair and boy do I love it!!! Im an Indique girl (200+ bundle) but am now a believer in this hair!!’ This hair looks thicker, better curl pattern, and cheaper !!! Love this raw hair!

Backstory:
I searched high and low for AUTHENTIC, RAW, VIRGIN hair. I happened upon this gem and my ENTIRE experience with this business was fantastic — from the hair purchase to the install by Jen. FANTASTIC!!!
Part 1: The owner, Ula, was exceptionally patient and professional. She spent well over a reasonable amount of time answering my questions about the hair she sells (Lotus Exotic Hair) and showing me samples in various lengths. I truly received an education on selecting raw, virgin hair. I felt good about giving her my business. She runs a very clean and professional salon!
Part 2: The Lotus Exotic Hair sold at this salon is GORGEOUS and the price point was awesome! No chemical smell, no shiny silicone coating… just beautiful raw, virgin hair. The hair quality rivals what you might find in the Indique Pure line, but at half the price. Yep… HALF!!! Not only does the salon sell hair extensions, but it sells great quality closures in various sizes. Skip the plethora of suspect internet «hair» providers and go to a reputable business. Do yourself a favor and stop in to see these products in person. You will not be disappointed!
Part 3: If you need a stylist to literally slay your weave and have it looking like it is growing straight from your scalp, see Jen! My birthday hair is gorgeous, bouncy, cut, and styled EXACTLY as I wanted. Again, do yourself a favor and have her install your Lotus Exotic Hair!

I get my upper lip and brows waxed by Ula. She is an expert esthetician – the waxing is nearly painless and I’m always happy with the shape of my brows. She gives great advice for maintenance too.

Excellent place to get your hair done. My hairstylist is Alba she does my Dominican blowout and she is just fabulous. I followed her from another style and this o did so well organization and everyone is nice I highly recommend this salon
