Never trust Staples to deliver anything! Unprofessional and unethical. They sent me an email to confirm they’d deliver my cabinet today, then a voice mail cancelling it without my consent. When I asked which is the true version, they did not know but sent an «urgent» message to the warehouse to call me within 2 hours.(Urgent does not mean 2 hours.) The warehouse failed to call. They sent an excuse that due to a «system failure» the warehouse assigned to my address just could not do it. Lame and dishonest. I will never deal with Staples again and neither should you.

While this staples has what you need, the service sucks. Twice I have come to ship a package through their UPS service and the person servicing me has trouble getting my shipment together. Each time it’s taken about 40 minutes of my time to ship a small box, due to waiting for someone to come over and assist me and then the wait time of the employee trying to figure out the shipping system in the computer. Additionally, there aren’t enough employees in the store and you often have to search around to find someone should you need assistance finding something. The manager is also flirtatious which is rather annoying.

Pretty disorganized, stuff piled up in the aisles waiting to be stocked. Staff was just hanging out — no offers of help. I didn’t find the screen protector I went in for, had to order it online later. I did get a case for my tablet as a very cheap close out. Follow up — I had another errand two doors down on 6/16, so I stopped in to check on my ship-to-store order even though I had never gotten an email reporting it arrived and tracking showed it still in transit. Showed the clerk the confirmation email so he would have all the particulars. After two trips to the back and a call to corporate, he found my order. One and a half stars — their customer«service» is reaching for the abyss of Sears, Verizon, and GEICO.

It’s always a good idea to have someone who knows how to copy working in the copy department. I didn’t get my mission accomplished for that very reason alone. Although the individual running the department was friendly enough, I didn’t get my job done. I decided to go to another location.

I went to this store today fully ready to purchase 2 laptops. After standing in the laptop area for 10 minutes looking carefully at several laptops, I looked around hoping to catch the attention of a salesperson. I saw one person at the cash register but no one else. There were hardly any customers. Too bad staples, you lost a customer.

The cashiers were friendly, but the manager was rude. I was returning 2 cases of xerox paper and the manager kept on saying she did not see me come in with the cases. i.e. She was accusing me of taking the cases from the shelf and returning them with my previously purchased receipt. WTH, Was it my fault that she did not see in wheeling in the two cases of paper in a cart for return? I had good impression of Staples until this incidence. I will not step in that store again until the manager is replaced.

Store was crowded today because of Back-to-School purchases. I found what I came for and left.

The store itself is clean and well-stocked. You can find what you want easily. That being said, the service is not great. I went here on Saturday to return something. The manager was torn in about three different directions and at the same time needed to work as a cashier. The employees working seemed new and overall the store was understaffed. It took way too long to get out of the store. Maybe other days are better, but this weekend my visit was a giant time suck.

Generally I think most of the staples stores around Silver Spring are bad compared to what where I used to shop back in NC. Staff were courteous until problems occurs or you wanted to stack on extra discount other than directly pay retail price. Basically they have the expectation to get customers pay and get out the store. When it gets to promotion(legit ones advertised by corporate), they tried to lie, misinterpret corporate policies until you were exhausted and gave up.

This location is okay they have stuff here for the office or school and not a whole lot of customers during the day unlike some other locations which can get very crowded during back to school time of year. What I like about this one this time is that they had a special«bring in your computer and get a free fix-it work done on it. Well of course I bring in my laptop that is like on total lock down. They were able to diagnose the exact problem in short order… free of charge can’t argue with that. Only thing in order to fix it I’ll have to buy a new hard drive and some more memory to get it up to snuff. Apparently the hard drive had run itself into the ground. Increase the ram to get the new operating system running at speed no need to put XP back on it while I can have Windows 7 on it. So they did alright in that part I was surprised. They also do alright in the customer service area as well at least they don’t call me «dawg» like what they do at the location near my office. This is as in «what up dawg whachu need?» Nope all I get is «hello sir… thank you sir» Just as it otta be.
