Such a cute store! Very friendly and great clothing selection. Excellent prices as well, and a great place to go with a friend!

A great place to shop, donate and volunteer! Shop: green shopping, can find what you need and the unusual, all the profit goes to church mission or community services. Lowest prices I have seen anywhere. .o5 get a vintage postcard, .10 a greeting card, .25 a paperback children’s book, .50 an adult paperback, $ 1 towel, $ 1.50 a tag sale item…$ 20 a nice winter coat!!! Donate your gently used items to Grace Church between 16 and Georgia, in back are donation bins. It is fun to volunteer there and just have to work half a day for a great discount. There is a lot of love that goes into the place and it is also a community.

Recommend! Just got a brooks brothers dress shirt, a Nike tennis skirt, a shirt, a swimsuit, and a pair of black heels for $ 6.25! The emphasis isn’t on designer or high end clothing, but you can find plenty of great things if you look! Overall a great little place to shop. Remember — cash only!

Went to Pennyworth today for the first time ever, and really enjoyed it. As others have said, the store is small but the prices are absolutely unbeatable. The baby clothing alone may be worth the trip, given how affordable it is. The women who work there are so kind — they went out of their way to help me find items I was looking for, and even threw in some kiddie hangers for free! This is the type of place you want to frequent often, both to see what new treasures they might have while simultaneously supporting a great, local business!

I really like this place! A small thrift store but I find something to buy everytime! The volunteers who work there are really nice too. Worth checking out.

Cute shop – not a huge selection, but I found some nice tops. They staff seem genuinely friendly, and the prices are great. Met a pup named Madison, a labradoodle who definitely added a charm to the store even if the owner was just puppy-sitting.

Great prices at this little thrift shop in downtown Silver Spring. Not a large shop, but with regular stop-thrus, you should definitely be able to find something. Prices are very low at all times — no need to wait for a certain day or anything. Cash only which also keeps prices down. Many of the people that donate here have an affinity for the shop, so they give their junkier items to Salvation Army, but save their nicer stuff for donation to Pennyworth. Win-Win. Staff is very friendly too.

The money goes to help a church make its building handicap accessible– which is a cause I am happy to support. They have a nice collection of clothes, housewares, books & toys at very cheap thrift store prices(as opposed to vintage boutique prices). Good place to browse or to donate items. Closed Sun & Mon.

Located next to a martial arts studio you will find this quaint little thrift store. It’s small, contains all kinds of quirky items like kitschy knick knacks your aunt mabel would probably covet, cassette tapes of children’s songs from decades past or a forgotten paperback book. The prices here are bargain basement cheap and they have a bit of everything from menswear, womenswear, formal wear, kids items, some shoes, books, records, and perhaps a wayward eight track or 2 stowing away next to the cassette tapes. As is the case with most thrift stores, it can be a hit or miss. Be sure to bring cash because they do not accept debit/credit cards! With $ 20 and a good eye you could probably pick up something nice for yourself in this shop, and support a good cause while doing so.

My favorite thrift shop in town. I got brand name pants and a brand name blazer for a total of under $ 10. They have a good assortment of things which are typically priced between $ 2 and $ 10. Amazing bargains and a dressing room too. They do not accept cash however! The people are incredibly friendly. A strange man walked in and picked up trash, commenting on what it was among other things, and the staff was very kind and not condescending.
