Before I visit Kemp Mill Dry Cleaners, I had visited many different dry cleaners including Zips so far, but I had not been satisfied with any one of them. Finally, I found the one I would go routinely. If you are a «Zips-goer», you may say their price is little more expensive, but if you focus on the quality of service they provide, you will see they are much better than any other cleaners. They mostly completely get rid of any dirts or spots on your clothes. Also, they don’t use perc, so you don’t have to worry about chemical issues. If you are getting sick of broken buttons on your shirts, try Kemp Mill Cleaners. They have never broken buttons on my shirts.

A local dry cleaner and tailor that we recently started using and are very happy with the service, quality of work and turnaround. My husband had been using a cleaner in D.C. that constantly broke the buttons on his shirts at a much higher price than having them done here. I’ve gone in without my slip and had no problem retrieving his shirts/trousers. If I drop off on Tuesday, they offer it back by Thursday which is a great turnaround in my book and I’ve heard them ask people if they need them back sooner. A somewhat hidden gem of a family business in Kemp Mill.

PLEASEDON’T GO!!! I know their location seems convenient but the hassle will cost you so much time and money. It’s not worth it. WAY overpriced. They take days and days to do one shirt. There system is so elementary, that if you lose your slip or if they lose it, you are going to be way out of luck. ALSO, DON’T SWIPEYOURCREDITCARD! They swiped mine twice, because they said the machine was stuck or something. Well, of course I got charged twice. Then when I told them a few days later, they had no answer and didn’t even apologize. I had to dispute it with my bank. JUSTDON’T USETHEM. Poor service and crazy prices should not be allowed now-a-days. Your business should be valued and it won’t be here.

WAYOVERPRICED, I think they only get business due to convenience. If you lose your claim ticket it’s a huge deal to find your items. The work is nothing to be happy about. Switched to Wheaton Valet Cleaners on Georgia and am very happy with their work and prices!

I took my new coat in to have the sleeves shortened. The sleeves have elastic bands at the end and then a faux fur cuff over that so it was a pretty complicated alteration. The tailor did a beautiful job – you can’t tell that there were any changes made to the original sleeves at all and they are now the perfect length. It was a little pricey, but then again, it was not just a simple little sewing project.

WORST experience ever. First, their cleaning material is too strong and damages your clothes. Second, they are extremely dishonest. My mom had regularly been bringing in my clothes to be cleaned and blazers to have the shoulder pads removed. She had been paying $ 8 for the shoulder pad removal. I then brought in 6 blazers on my own to have the shoulder pads removed and asked to confirm the price. I was told that the tailor wasn’t in but was assured that the price had not changed. When I came to pick up the coats I was charged $ 25 each for shoulder pad removal. Shocked, I asked about the price discrepancy and was told that certain customers pay lower amounts and they insisted I pay the full $ 25 per jacket. I almost left them there but the jackets themselves were quite expensive. The girl then had the nerve to tell me I had to pay and it «wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t.» Needless to say I haven’t returned since. I would give them 0 stars if that were possible.
