I love getting sesame cookies here. Every item here is very fresh and they are careful about hygiene by packaging each baked good in a clear plastic bag. Yes, this may be uncommon for a Panaderia. However, I don’t want to buy breads that may have been touched by other customers or may have been widely exposed to air-born bacterias. I am a medical student doing research at National Institutes of Health and I would like to inform everyone here that if you don’t wash your hands just for 2 hours, your hands may carry over 2 million germs.

I’ve visited this bakery about 6 or 7 times. I have visited numerous panederias in the Wheaton area. The breads here are good, but they often seem day old. That may be why the breads are packaged in plastic, which is unusual for a panederia.

I live in Virginia, but will drive to Maryland just to buy the cake here. I’ve had the cheesecake, tres leche, and tiramisu cake before. I love all three and have had times where I buy all three at once because I can’t choose just one. The bread is baked fresh and you can’t beat the prices. The owners are so warm and welcoming every time I go. Definitely recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth.

Harina Bakery sold me a spoiled piece of cake. The buttercream icing was completely spoiled. Other times I have been there, their pastries have not tasted very fresh, but spoiled food is just not acceptable. Edit: Perhaps it wasn’t buttercream icing. I could be wrong about that. But the icing certainly was spoiled.
