5 stars for care and 1 star for administration. But the affectionate and upbeat teachers sway the balance, and this is a wonderful environment for little ones. It’s such a relief to leave your children in the hands of loving and capable caretakers, and my child has thrived under their care. I agree with Aubrey D. that the administration is unresponsive and disorganized, and that worse, it seems to take advantage of the teachers, who are the main draw of the school, and it’s not clear where all the money goes. If the teachers were paid better and treated better, I would have no concerns at all about the school. The outdoor space is lovely, and the kids take frequent walks. All in all, it’s a nurturing, fun, and active environment.

Two stars is an average rating between 4 stars for care and 1 star for administration and organization. The care the teachers provide is pretty good. Sometimes I found there was quite a bit of yelling going on, but the teachers do work hard and do genuinely care about your kids. The director there is wonderful. However, they are very disorganized. The finance«Department,» consisting of the owner’s daughter, is totally unresponsive. Doesn’t answer emails or phone calls for months at a time. Communication from the school about activities is difficult to understand sometimes. They are also constantly promoting an onslaught of daily activities that are hard to keep up with, and they frequently ask parents to bring in supplies, extra food, etc. Personally, I’d prefer to pay them what they need and have them provide the tools they need to do their jobs. Your child will probably do fine here, maybe even do very well. But you will go insane dealing with it all.

Ok, I know you are not supposed to rate things perfectly, unless they are, but when it comes to my daughter(like most parents), perfection is what I desire. I love Green Hill. My daughter is 26 months, and has been there since 9 months. She is an only child and has thrived in the loving, energetic, scholastic environment. Prior to Green Hill, she was with a nanny, and did not have much socialization with other children. Green Hill has a good ratio of providers to children that I did not feel that she was«lost in a crowd». Choosing a day care center is a very personal, individual decision, so I always suggest to anyone that they go in for a visit. The assistant director, Malika, is wonderful. So well educated in early child education, and she always has an open door to help(especially with us first time parents) with any child rearing issues. I could go on about the warm, protective staff, but I’ll end by saying that I feel like I have found a gem in Green Hill CDC and highly recommend it.
