Megan at District Desserts was extremely accommodating and attentive to the design requested. She made sure that the cookies were delivered on time, even though it was on Christmas weekend and she was leaving town. Not to mention the cookies were absolutely delicious and a hit at the bridal shower! Thank you District Desserts!

Thank goodness for District Desserts who saved the day on very short notice when another company (Capitol Cookies) cancelled our order only 2 days before party time. Delicious cookies! Great service. Reliable. DD has my business!

I work at a business that has used District Desserts for several times, including lunches, parties, and fundraising events. I am always excited to see how the owner will incorporate the theme into the desserts she provides for our events. I reached out to the owner a few weeks ago about creating a small take-​away gift for guests who will be visiting our site over the next three months on an almost daily basis. I was hoping to be able to use a local business just to be able to keep money in the community. Though I had my own ideas about what I was hoping to have Megan create for us, Megan was able to walk me through what I was hoping for and asked questions that ultimately led us to a small cookie tin personalized with our business’s logo, which was a much more practical idea. Some businesses I’ve dealt with are just interested in securing a deal. I appreciate that Megan actually took the time to listen to what I was hoping for and able to figure out what would be the best product for us to use. I’m glad we were able to make this work so that we can continue to support a local business!

Megan is a goddess with cookie dough and an icing bag! My boyfriend (I guess I should say fiancé) and I recently got engaged, we used her save the date cookies as our save the date cards. I can guarantee we are going to have a lot of attendee’s after sending these out! They were a hit. As cute as they were delicious, the light vanilla almond, which is their classic flavor, was a HUGE hit! Megan was such a pleasure to work with professional yet friendly. I can’t wait to work with District Desserts again and explore some of the other sweets they offer.

I helped plan my sister’s Indian wedding recently and hired Megan to create memorable desserts for it. There were over 350 guests. Not only did all of the cookies arrive on time (they were mailed), but Megan was a pleasure to work with! She helped brainstorm original ideas and her quote was very reasonable! Almost all the guests commented about how original and delicious the desserts were. I could tell she was passionate about the cause of her organization and cares about the people she works with and her clients. I already have plans to reorder from her. Thanks District Desserts!

We had a college send off party for my son this weekend. District Desserts provided beautiful cookies and cake pops for the event. They were decorated with the school colors, college mascot and school motto. Not only were they adorable, but truly delicious. They were the highlight of the night. We had purchased cookies and cake pops for my daughters college party 2 years ago. When our family and guests RSVPed for the party, many asked it we would be serving the delicious cookies and pops they remembered from the previous party. We actually had a neighbor stop over the day after the party to see if there were any leftover treats — but of course there were none left. Serving District Dessert treats is a way to enrich the themes of our party and share a special treat with our guests!

Consistently excellent and wonderful people to work with. I not only admire the cause that supports this bakery, but I also have been overjoyed with the amount of time and work that goes into each dessert. I placed a custom order for cookies that would pair well with my wine tasting theme for a girls night I was hosting at my house. The cookies turned out fabulous, not only did they look amazing, they also tasted great. It is not every day you can get a bunch of your girlfriends to indulge in dessert but they all noted how they were worth every calorie!
I plan to use District Desserts again at my next theme night!

I had an amazing experience with District Desserts. I needed 2 dozen custom cookies quickly for a corporate function. With 48 hours notice, Megan worked with me to turn these around quickly and hand delivered to our office downtown Washington D.C. They turned out beautiful and delicious. I was not even aware of the social cause affiliated with District Desserts, and knowing this I’m even more impressed with the company and experience.

I am so thankful to Megan at District Desserts! I was told on Friday afternoon that we needed 24 decorated cookies as gifts at a corporate event on Monday afternoon. Megan got back to me right away and put together a beautiful and delicious package for us. She also delivered the cookies to my door, saved me tons of time running around. We presented the cookies as awards and people absolutely loved them. They will be going back home with groups from Minnesota and Hawai’i. A great display of of local DC talent and hospitality. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
