Dennis Brown Shaolin Wu-Shu Training Center

I came here with my buddies towards the end of last year to take a few kickboxing classes with a deal/​promotion found on the internet. Their kickboxing class runs Monday and Wednesday nights and Saturday morning.
Their kickboxing classes definitely kicked my butt. For 45 minutes a night, it is non-​stop cardio and you will break out a sweat. The instructors that led the class were real professional and knew what they were doing. They lead the class and encourage everybody to work their hardest. The routine is filled with a variety of kicks that primarily build core strength and cardio. I’ve lost a few pounds from taking these classes, and my buddies (who still take the class) are loving it more than ever. When you wake up the next day feeling sore all over, you know you had a good workout and that is exactly what Dennis’ class gives.
Furthermore, the staff there are really friendly and personable. Dennis Brown himself teaches the class every now and then and is a pretty awesome dude. To see his accolades, check out their website. I thought this place deserved a better review than I’ve seen.

The studio has been around for a very long time. The teachers/​instructors are amazing. They are patient and friendly. The management /​administrative staff is awful. The admin staff acts very unprofessionally. The Lanham location was closed without much noticed. I waited six months for them to open another location in the Lanham area. They have yet to open one; therefore, I requested a refund. I was told that my refund would be processed in 30 days but she would expedite it. That month passed with no update. It is going on three months now and I still haven’t received my refund and the excuses keep pouring in. Now at this point I haven’t received my refund, nor responses to my calls or emails. I’m quite sure that if they shoe was on the other foot I would be getting sued at this point. Don’t waste your time trying to do business with this group. You will save yourself a lot of stress and frustration. Definitely not what I thought my experience would be.
