I usually don’t post reviews and everyone needs to know how worst this whole company is when it comes to customer service. The technician(people looks rude when they don’t smile when you first meet them) came to house to fix the tube light which clearly need to be replaced. But his attitude was not to replace it but fix it. Some how according to him, he fixed it and was very happy that our problem is resolved. But after few days, the tube lights fell down. Thank God no body was not in kitchen at that time and tragedy was avoided. We become very angry and called them to let them know. But same guy came with same attitude, Instead of admitting his mistake, he is blaming us that we intentionally made it fall and rip the socket instead of admitting his fault and left. And he was very rude while saying this in front of our kids. Afterward, we call their office and Lisa was more rude than technician while talking with us. We have Launched a complaint against them with AHS. If it does not work, we will try to sue them for putting our life in danger and against Technician who used foul language in front of our kids. In the meantime, if somebody from CET is reading this review, i openly ask them to call us to solve this matter peacefully. Overall, i do not have good experience due to their poor work ethics and worst customer service. PS: The technician was also supposed to fix smoke detector which he refused to do it because he thought it is bugs which are causing the problem. Now i am doubtful for his judgement. Anyone have suggestion for me, please let me know

Certified Electric has done great work for me. Alan showed up on time, worked quickly and the whole thing cost less than I originally thought it would. I will definitely use them again!

I got lucky and have found my new electrician on the first try. I was experiencing a circuit outage of unknown causes that I couldn’t figure out myself and decided I needed professional help. I turned to the internet and hoped for the best. The guy that took my call(Gary, I believe) and set up the appointment was very nice on the phone and tried to be as helpful as possible. The electrician that arrived(Dale) was also very nice and listened to everything I had to tell him. The issue was quickly diagnosed, confirmed, and corrected. I felt like this company really cares about their customers. And after all, how folks make you feel goes a loooooong way these days.

In the three projects we hired CET to do in our Silver Spring home, we used the same electrician. Our electrician, David, was very keen on safety and knowledgeable of the electrical code. He was very efficient with his time, but did not rush through the job either. He was very respectful, professional, and considerate by not making a mess. He even offered to clean up the room, but I decided to take care of it myself to reduce the cost. CET charges a little under $ 100 per hour for labor, plus materials. The materials are a little marked-up, but you can buy your own instead(which I would recommend, especially I you have specific preferences for switch colors and styles). At first I was nervous because they do not give free estimates or lump-sum pricing, but after having them do work in our home a few times, I feel more comfortable with them charging on a time-and-material basis. If I had to pick one thing that CET could do better, it would be to make the dispatcher more pleasant to speak with. He’s not rude or anything, but he’s not really pleasant either, just really matter-of-fact. I feel like the first person I speak to when starting a project should have a friendly and welcoming attitude. Other than that though, we’ve been very pleased so far with CET and we consider them to be a trustworthy, professional, and good-value local business.
