Great comic shop. They have a friendly, helpful staff who are willing to bend over backwards to help their customers.
They’ve got a great collection of graphic novels, collectibles and apparel to go along with first run comics… feels like something out of my childhood, honestly.

Fantastic old comic shop. There are hardly any shops anymore that specializes in back issues. Long box after long box just waiting for a comics aficionados to flip through them. This place is a gem.

Just a short hop, skip and a jump away from the wheaton metro stop, crammed in between a series of… eclectic…shops with a metered parking lot you’ll find this decent sized comicbook store. They have collectible figures, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, some t-​shirts, a few posters, manga and some storage solutions (longboxes, bags, boards). Quick note on the manga collection — it’s relegated to one book shelf and mostly the big-​name shonen titles like One Piece and Naruto. I get it, gotta sell what sells — just putting the observation out there. Staff is pretty cool and laid back, most of the patrons are pretty easy going and friendly (there may be a prick or two in the mix but hey these things happen). Overall, it’s a pleasant place to browse on a quiet afternoon.

Back in the day (decades ago), I used to come to Barbarian Comics every other week. A short time ago, I rediscovered the shop. I have been in many times since buy comic bags, boards and boxes. Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this comic store.

My favorite place to shop for comic books and manga.
Barbarian Comics is a great comic book shop that has been in Wheaton Triangle for about 40 years. They have a great selection of comic books, collected editions, and manga. If they don’t have it on the shelf they will order it for you and give you 10% off on the purchase. Manga (whether it is on the shelf or they have to order it for you) is always 10% off.
