Great place to have a drink and eat in downtown Silver Spring. The cocktails are well crafted and the customer service is second to none. Ryan is exceptional mixologist.

Food was good… definitely get the chickpea fries, but service was slowwww. We ordered appetizers and each one came out separately, 10 min apart. Dinner came out together, but when we were all done, it took the server another 20 minutes to take our plates away. Another 15 minutes to bring dessert menus. We didn’t order dessert because we were afraid it would take another 30 minutes to bring it out. Lesson learned. Going to explore other parts of Silver Spring.

Even though waiting 45 mins AFTER our reservation our dinner didn’t end as bad as I thought it would. It’s frustrating enough to have to wait to be seated once making a reservation but the ambiance and especially the bartender Ryan made me and my family enjoy the wait. His corky sense of humor was appealing and so entertaining when he served us wine and made us his special whiskey drink that made me left speechless. Once we were finally seated. 45 mins later the whole restaurant was completely apologetic while bringing out 5 different appetizers on the house once we sat down. The food was good nothing over the top but it was a great ambiance filled with laughter and great memories. I would consider coming back even after the ridiculous wait

Hostess: very sweet and friendly. We had a party of 11 but didn’t all show up at once. While waiting we got menus and water right away but no offer for drinks. Our server was nice but it was a little disappointing drinks weren’t offered while we were waiting at the table. Service: A little slow in terms of getting drinks and he didn’t really check on us as much as I would have hoped. However, he had professional manners. Appetizers: mussels were the standard fare. They were worth buying. The calamari portion was… Petite. Honestly not worth the money for the quantity. The siracha biscuits were interesting(read good) but again a bit pricey for their diminutive size. Entrees: The crab cakes… $ 32 for two tiny little pucks. Yes there seems like very little filler but Jebus… They are small. Will not make that mistake again. Luckily I had ordered the calamari and mussels to start the meal. I had a bite of the braised short ribs and thought they were pretty good. Bar: After the meal I went to order a jack and Coke… $ 9 and it wasn’t a Jack and Coke. Restaurant week menu… Oddly the entrees offered are not the normally listed ones on the menu. Again disappointing, so I ordered off the regular menu.

Well… The clam chowder is still delicious and the drinks were as good as I remember. My husband had the lobster roll again and it was still too much bread to lobster ratio. My fish n chips were okay. I really enjoyed the cole slaw and old bay tarter sauce, but there was way more batter to fish ratio and was quite salty. Also, I checked in and they didn’t bring out the free pulled pork taco. I can’t say that we will visit All Set again. It is VERY expensive. Maybe just for some soup.

Über excited to try this place out, as it has gotten such great reviews. The funny thing is, I have frequented this area but have never noticed that it was where it was. Located in thee Silver Spring off of Fenton Street, in the lower level of the tall office building. Street and garage parking are available. If you park on the street, there is a fee, parking is free after 7p in the garage I believe, it is a short 2 min at most walk. The interior of the restaurant is nice, nautical and what not. The lighting is pretty cool. I think it would be nice for a date night with your boo or whatever. I believe there are daily HH specials. For dinner I had the grilled pork chop with the sweet potato, that also came with the kale and bacon. My friend had the crispy salmon with ratatouile. Both entrees were presented beautifully, my portion was large, the salmon in my opinion wasn’t as large. My pork chop came with some sort of apple chutney. it added a nice taste to the pork chop, but I thought it was a wee much on the plate. The potatoes were cooked nicely and the kale and bacon was just awesome. I mean everything is better with bacon, right? The pork chop was a little fatty and wasn’t cooked as evenly as I would have liked but it was still tasty. The salmon was cooked to perfection, it was supremely fresh and the crispy skin set it over the top. The ratatouille was delicious as well. I just wish it came with a little bit more, I swear my friend looked hongreh after she finished it. Ha! The service was fair, I think he was slightly overwhelmed, I tried to redeem my check in offer, but I honestly think he forgot that we asked for it. All in all, the food was good and I truly dig the ambience, I saw some other things that I would like to try so I will be back.

Very hit or miss. I have gone there and had a great meal, amazing drinks and good service. But other times have left feeling sick and disappointed. Go there for happy hour for cheap tacos. Ask for Ryan behind the bar(if he is still there).

We were really wanting to like All Set when we ventured there with a couple of friends for dinner the other evening. Although we did not have a great food experience, I think we would return and try other dishes, because some of the people we were with really enjoyed theirs. We started off with the clam chowder, and this was the highlight of the meal. The soup was rich and tasty– just what you want and expect when ordering the staple at a seafood place. For our meal, my husband had the grilled chicken sandwich– a bit of a dumb choice if you ask me. He said it was fine but nothing special– but when is a chicken sandwich that great? I ordered the clam fettucine– my go to dish at any italian or seafood place. I was highly disappointed. The noodles tasted like Lipton chicken flavored noodles in a bag– no hint of the lemon, garlic, or wine. The clams were rubbery and not flavorful. It was extremely disa

All Set is a wonderful little place that was a really good time. First, I had two drinks: Blown Off Course(a house specialty) and a Moscow Mule. The BOC was over-saturated with Angostura Bitters and too tart. The Moscow Mule, on the other hand, was made with Apple brandy which gave it a subtle sweetness that balanced the ginger very well. The food was the real highlight of our trip. We shared a plate of Chickpea fries to start. They were wonderfully crisp with a dusting of sea salt. For my entrée, I had the Lobster Roll and it was the best I’ve had since I was in Maine — The chunks of meat were soft, buttery and tasted fresh. My girlfriend had the Edamame Burger and it was outstanding. All in all, we had a great time and will be back soon.

Started off with the wings and the tuna tartare. The wings are awesome– it’s a nice change in flavor from what I usually get. The tuna tartare seemed kinda mushy to me; wasn’t bad but wasn’t that good either. My friend and I split the clam chowder. I’m not sure what to think about it being green… But it was okay. We ate it but I wouldn’t recommend it. For my entrée, I got the lobster roll. It’s weird how it could taste super unhealthy but not be super delicious at the same time. Usually those two go hand-in-hand, lol. Maybe it’s the butter that they use that makes me not love it. Definitely eat it with the chips to add texture though. The presentation of the food was spectacular and the service here is good.

All Set replaced the tinted glass, darkness and tiny candles of the previous depressing establishment with HUGE open windows, dumb amounts of rope, and big, bold colors and flavors! I’ve been a few times for Sunday brunchfast, I can’t recommend the cinnamon bombs enough — it’s like coffee cake ball with a cinnamon sugar dusting over the whole thing. I had a delicious jalapeño-bacon frittata, a maple sausage gravy with Sriracha biscuits, an eggs benedict, all great! A little pricey, but very creative menu — great plating, good service. They try a little too hard, but if you’re OK with that, it works!

I loved everything about this place. Really good attentive service! Went for my cousin’s bday and was pleasantly surprised that there is Sunday HH! $ 1 oysters and lots of other specials Enjoyed the chickpea fries off of the HH menu! From the regular menu loved the edamame burger! First time trying a burger that wasn’t beef & it was SOGOOD! Chunks of fresh edamame plus spicy coleslaw and perfect bun. Yum! Other dish I tried and liked: lobster mac & cheese. Others in my party enjoyed the lobster roll & clam chowder No one had complaints! They brought out dessert with a candle at the end too! Will definitely return.

I think there’s a lot of hype to this place and I’m not sure it’s warranted. Came on a Sunday so all they had was the happy hour menu. But i was there for a snack… So it was fine. The décor was very nice and innovated. The wait staff was ok. Not as attentive as I would have liked. It seemed like there were conversations happening to keep them occupied… Also not a lot of people in the place. I asked about the oysters and the waiter didn’t seem to know much about them so I had to order both kinds to judge for my self… And if he had known more I would have probably just gotten the one I liked better… The pork taco was good and so was the fish taco. But nothing to rave about. The hummus was interesting. Salty. Very salty. And who serves cooked broccoli with it? And it was a huge piece??? Lets just say with was a few bite size worth… The mussels were also standard. But well cooked. Nothing was really explained when it arrived. I had no idea which oyster was which… Which was remedied later after painstaking trying to find a waiter to explain them… Sigh. Will I be coming back? Um…

This was the second location for Unilocal’s Hidden Gem Challenge and it was another winner! It’s clearly a classy joint with very interesting décor. Apparently, the swooping strings remind the owner of Jellyfish. We sat outside so we didn’t get the full effect. The interior did seem pretty spacious with a pretty well stocked bar. The pulled pork tacos 5⁄5: This was the free item that we got for checking and they were excellent. Definitely going to be my go to dish whenever I’m here. The meat was SO tender and very well seasoned and the mango(pineapple?) salsa was just the perfect counterbalance to the meat. Surf and turf burger 5⁄5: This was one of the best burgers I’ve had. The burger was incredibly well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The amount of sauce was just right and the bun wasn’t soggy and the clams were provided just the right crunch for the whole thing. I loved it! Cheddar Sriracha Biscuits 1⁄5; These unfortunately were a huge disappointment. I had been looking forward to these for the entire meal and they were just such a let down. The texture was gummy and not flaky. There was not really a good crust to speak of and it was lukewarm and not gooey with cheese like I had hoped it would be. Also, the sriracha flavor was very mild. Our waitress was also very nice. We also asked for sriracha which she had forgotten and when we reminded her, she literally ran to get, which we thought was very sweet. They apparently have happy hour all day on Sunday. I’ll definitely be back to sample more on the menu.

LOBSTERBISQUE(3⁄5 NOMs) Time to start 3 course restaurant week dinner with Lobster Bisque from a new seafood place in Down Town Silver Spring. It was a pretty good way to start our dinner, though it wasn’t very memorable. Very smooth and consistent flavor in every spoonful with a tiny little kick to it. Even with a little kick it kind of felt bland that it needed something more. Couldn’t really taste any lobster and for the most part it was all soup. The presentation was very nice with a nice small glass cup. Onward to the main entrée course. TROUTMEUNIERE(5⁄5 NOMs) Get your seafood fix with a perfect dish like Trout Meuniere for Restaurant Week. Now this is dish is made to impress with both presentation and taste. Every bite was simply perfect and showcased their true love for seafood. Trout was a true star of this dish, it was so well prepared and seasoned it was pure joy to eat. Perfectly complimented with just as well prepared fingerling potatoes. The best way is to enjoy both with every bite dipped into lemon butter. Even green beans which often thrown in as an after thought tasted great. It was such an impressive dish that we really hope they make it part of their regular menu so we can have it again! DOUGHNUTS(3⁄5 NOMs) There are no holes in a Doughnuts. As part of our three course dinner we picked Doughnuts as our dessert pick. They are more of mix between doughnut holes and mini muffin. It was missing that that soft texture of a doughnut and were more dry like a muffin. Not really a bad thing and still very enjoyable sugar treat. It made up with extra amount of sugar and brown sugar on the outside. Comes with a side of Coffee dipping syrup and whip cream. Best is to split doughnut in half and pour syrup all over. For that extra sugary rush to end your restaurant week dinner. APPLECAKE(5⁄5 NOMs) Tiny little cake of joy is an Apple Cake for Restaurant Week from seafood place in Down Town Silver Spring. Now this is one very excellent dessert. So soft and tender its like they fused apple pie and with creamy layered cake. All this cake goodness is topped with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Which makes for a great sweet and salty combination. So make sure to have both in every spoonful. Such a tiny little thing that you must enjoy it slowly with small bites so it won’t disappear right away in your mouth. Excellent way to end you Restaurant Week dinner. We hope it becomes part of their regular menu as this is a dessert that we would love to have again.

Super friendly staff. Plenty of healthy options(5 star for the chickpea fries alone!). Comfy, cool and interesting space that is themed, but not too theme-y(if that makes sense). My husband and I dined here with our daughter the other night and were impressed with the kindness of the staff, as well as the quality of the food. I stuck to a combo of healthy sides, pairing the chickpea fries with their string beans and a side salad, where as my hubby for the short ribs which he couldn’t stop raving about. He also loved his ice cream sandwich dessert. They happily accommodated us despite not having a reservation on a Friday night(we stopped in off the cuff) and had a high chair and toys ready for our daughter in no time. Definitely a great first impression. I am looking forward to returning again soon and getting some more of the menu. I am sure I will be upping my rating once that happens :)

Four and a quarter stars. Fair amount of street parking in the area if you don’t care to Metro or park in the local garages. Cute interior, some patio seating, clean bathrooms, great service from Zachary. Decent bottle beer list. Harvard Yard cocktail was nicely balanced. Chickpea fries and short ribs were impeccably delicious– great crust on the former; tender meat and the right amount of bleu cheese in the potato mash for the latter. Wild mushroom risotto was savory and flavorful, house cut fries were crispy. Grilled chicken sandwich was the only disappointment– an overabundance of feta mayo made the bottom layer of foccacia a little soggy, and the chicken was a little dry despite being generously portioned. Lobster roll ran small for the cost– I think Luke’s Lobster offers a better deal on that. Their happy hour specials don’t cater much to our interests, but we’ll be back to try crab mac & cheese; chicken & biscuits, Wicked Good Morning, Blown Off Course, Hihowahya, Boston Tea Party, Elizabeth in Paris, beer-and-a-shot.

After trying out All Set Restaurant at the huge MD Unilocal event(best food at the event), we decided to come here for Restaurant Week, on a Sunday for lunch. This is when it got interesting… they participate in restaurant week all week, except Sunday brunch. Because somehow Sunday brunch isn’t a part of the week? I want to applaud their manager for being patient and explained to us nicely why they don’t serve Restaurant Week Menu on Sunday’s brunch. Her chef also stopped by to see if he could make anything on the Restaurant Week menu for us(they didn’t have much of the ingredients at hand but we appreciate the gesture). However it doesn’t excuse how they advertise the menu and allow an easy reservation to take place via Opentable, with no disclaimer or exception that Sunday brunch was excluded, because otherwise we would have came for lunch on Saturday. This is a head scratcher but ultimately don’t think they did it with a negative intent. Even though we were disappointed, we still went with their regular brunch menu(besides the mussels, which was only available during dinner time). The 6 of us ordered a variety of chicken & biscuit, and benedicts(crab cake and oysters), with an order of mussels. While we all finished most of our food, it should be interesting to note that none of us ate much of the potatoes that came with the benedicts. The potatoes were overly cooked and salty, and with the oyster benedict also overly salty, it wasn’t a good combination. Since I was the one that suggested everyone to meet at All Set, I felt particularly responsible for the mix-up. After all, Restaurant Week is designed for restaurants to showcase a variety of their dishes(appetizers, entrees and dessert) for a set price. But if we were to try a variety of dishes on a regular brunch menu, our cost would be much more, and I wouldn’t suggest everyone to splurge just to meet that intent. So in the end, mission failed. We didn’t get to try a variety of dishes promised by their Restaurant Week menu and when we did order from their Sunday brunch menu, the overcooked potatoes and overly salty oyster benedict left me finishing a new bottle of water on the drive back.

I love love love the Nautical theme. The food and service was great as well. We went on a Sat evening with reservations; the server response time was acceptable. would say this resturant fell short of 5 stars only because the outdoor seating was plagued with insects. Dinner was not enjoyable due to the constant swatting. With the price of market menu items, you should def consider a citronella candle at tables or burners. It wasn’t just our table. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. I live in the area so Im sure we’ll be back. What did we eat? I had the lobster salad Yumm My friend is a fish n chips fiend so he enjoyed that immensely Our other friend had the lobster roll, I think her only gripe was toooo much bread to lobster ratio for the price Yessss to that watermelon beer! Thanks
