It’s unfortunate because I frequent the Oil Patch Liquor store to buy lottery because of it’s unique exterior and history. But today I believe will be the last time I step foot in this place. I don’t know if the guy that«Joe I» posted is the owner but he is the same guy that I dealt with today March 11th at 1:15pm. I brought in some lottery tickets to check on the lottery scanner. Turned out I won $ 40. This sneaky, vile man had the audacity to tell me that«I NEEDEDTOPURCHASESOMETHINGFROMTHESTORE» in order for him to give me my lottery winnings! «I have never heard of such a thing», I retorted. Then he rudely tells me to step a side while he services the next person standing in line behind me. Upset but gracefully, I stepped a-side and waited. The gentleman orders two packs of cigarettes turns to me and apologize. I said, «well it’s not your fault, it’s the guy behind the counters fault!» with out even saying anything more to me the guy throws the $ 40 on the counter towards me because he knew he was WRONG and it is ILLEGAL for him to coerce a person into using their lottery winnings to buy something from their store if they choose not to. Its funny because this idiot apparently doesn’t realize that I frequent the store and sometimes buy $ 100s of dollars worth of lottery from this store. I was insulted and now I wonder if others have fallen for this same coercion. If you have, I encourage you to report him and this lottery retail store to the Lottery Security & Law Enforcement toll-free at 800-LOTTERY(800−568−8379). I have and I hope no one else is being taken advantage of.

Its a small liquor store but it offers everything from snacks and refreshments to spirits, lotto scratchers and lotto tickets. This was my first visit here and the service was great thank you

Coming South on Temple is the easiest way to get into this amazingly small parking lot. It’s very easy to run in, get what you need(be it lotto tickets, cigarettes, booze, Funyuns… whatever). Good luck trying to pull out of the parking lot.

I like this spot. Its location is random. The parking lot is an obstacle course. You can cash a check here. And they have lots of alcohol.

Well isn’t that interesting. A liquor store that looks like it was build around an oil derrick… no… that really is an oil derrick. Makes sense. It is in Signal Hill after all. I’ve seen this liquor store numerous times. Usually drive by it after exiting the 405 on our way to Costco. But I have my regular go to liquor stores so I never bothered to stop here. Well my girlfriend and I were in the area and we decided to go inside on a whim. The parking lot has four spaces, one of which is a handicapped space. The place is as tiny as it appears from the outside. They have oddly placed beverage coolers near the entrance and shelves of just random goods and snacks. I found a brand new flavor of Taki«Nitro!»,(which are the hottest of any of their other flavors), they had Chocolate Skittles(!!! What? !!!), Porn DVD’s, tons of liquor, a little hidden wine room and you can’t forget the bullet proof glass. Kinda awesome. Although I didn’t see anything«deli», but maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough. This is certainly a crazy little liquor store. I’m going to have to go again and really take a look at all they have, maybe even the porn. :)
