I can’t say enough about the library. Other than the obvious books and Internet angle, they have worked hard to make the library truly a community place. From Lego Club to drumming circles, there are fantastic free activities for any interest!

Looking for a place to just sit with your laptop, a cup of coffee outside of your house? this is your spot. I’m new to Sierra Vista, and have been desperately looking for a café, coffee shop to just hang out. The Café at the library is as good as it gets in SV.(until i find another spot). It has flavored coffee(hot or iced), lunch sandwiches and baked goods. It has free Wifi, in café and inside the lib building. The library itself is big, spacious, has many reading nooks with TONS of natural lighting!!! Has computers and printer to use but only if you have a library card. But you can ask for one time daily pass to use the computer. It has tons of books on travel, hiking in Arizona and a section just on Sierra Vista and Huachuca. The staff is super friendly. CON: no power outlets in the café seating area! So come with your electronics charged or you can go inside the lib to charge them. You need Arizona state ID for a lib card,(it makes sense! however, if you are military, you can use your orders to show residency)

Free WiFi and a great selection of books! We went on a Sunday and they are only open from 12 – 5 and the café was closed, so we missed out on the whole experience. Took a long while to get a library card, but hey, you only have to wait in line for it once. The internet was surprisingly fast. We also picked up some info on events happening in the surrounding community. My wife plans to try and use some of the ebooks on her nook. We will post again once we figure out how that works!

What a fantastic facility! It’s beautiful, clean, and modern. It may not be the best facility for research, but it certainly isn’t bad. The library has wi-fi, loans e-books, magazines, and other media you’d expect. The hours are alright, though I wish there were at least a couple nights during the week when it was open past 7. The research assistant was pleasant and very helpful, but the library assistant at the front desk acted like it pained and troubled her to assist me today… or maybe it was just me. She was condescending and rude. Either way, I hope this is not indicative of the way the military library-goers are treated here.
