Shear Envy Salon

If I can choose no stars that would be my rating of this woman of a so called stylist by the name of Brenda that works at this salon. I made an appointment to see her. I told her exactly what I wanted done with my hair and «chop chop chop» to my right side she went… OH NO! Not short layers… long story short, I hated my new haircut! I cried and cried after trying to fix the uneven layered mess that she left my hair as best as I could. Carol Brady here I come!!! Does anyone have an extra bag? Beauty goer: Beware!

Friendly, Experienced, Talented, and a Bargain!
Most women dread the search for a new hair stylist after moving to a new town. I’m no different. I visited a new salon every 6 – 8 weeks after moving here last year, hitting three before finding Shear Envy. I’d experienced boring, horrifying skunk stripes, and unpleasant atmospheres at the other places.
My search ended with with a sigh of relief with Kristin at Shear Envy.
This place is a decent size, always clean and bright, organized, and I always feel welcome. It feels like a cross between the neighborhood salon where all the moms go and the high-​end salon where they’re doing the latest and greatest. I think this salon has a great combination of experience and education and friendly attitudes. It’s not the weird cutting edge type place where everyone has blue hair… but I’m sure they can do that if you want it. It’s also not all old ladies getting perms, but I’m sure they can do that, too. :) On my first visit I learned that many of the gals who work there have known each other for years… but instead of feeling like you’re walking into a clique (like some salons), Shear Envy feels very friendly.
Kristin was able to do a color correction and some great natural highlights for a cost WAY less than the other places I visited. I had highlights, cut, and style for anywhere from $ 120 – 150 at the other places and paid only $ 80 here.
