I was really excited when I found this place on Unilocal.I went in and was greeted by a nice woman who said she was Filipino. I thought to myself that the food must be pretty authentic then. I was wrong. Lumpia — 4 stars on the flavor and 2 stars on the quantity. I ordered the 8 piece. I was very disappointed to find out it was just 4 pieces cut in half. Totally not what I was expecting. The flavor as good but boy do they love their celery. Pancit — 5 stars. Very tasty and good. Once again too much celery Chicken adobo and chicken curry — 1 star for each. The chicken itself was good but there was no flavor or I should say the correct flavor. Adobo is a vinegar based sauce and let me tell you, you can’t taste it all. The curry, I don’t know what spice was in it but it was not good. All in all the only thing I liked was the pancit and lumpia. Not a fan of the fact that they cut the lumpia in half and call it two. In my opinion I find that very shady. I will go back and get the pancit and lumpia and try the halo halo.

Joyce(the owner) is so sweet and her food is excellent. Everything is freshly made! She is an amazing business owner and truly puts her heart into J’s kitchen. So glad to be able to get delicious Filipino food quickly and at a great price.

We were going to a movie at the mall and needed a quick meal. We checked the fare, but the woman at this restaurant asked If we would like a sample. We tried the chicken curry. It was outstanding. An addendum: I readjusted this rating because my husband and I returned to try two other dishes. We tried the Chicken Adobe and pan fried chicken. Unfortunately neither of these dishes had any flavor. It was just bland food. Also, the food was not very warm. I am sorry to say, but this is just an okay place.

The two reasons The Mall is still open. 1. Cinemark. 2. J’s Kitchen. My first time here and I was struggling with what to order, the ladies behind the counter were very nice and offered samples to help me choose. We ended up having the chicken with peppers and onions and the deep fried pork belly. Both were extremely tasty and full of flavor. Also the lumpia is very addicting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something different.

J’s has excellent food and reasonable prices. They’re quite friendly and as far as food in the Sierra vista mall goes they’re my favorite. The owner is a gem, she is such a nice woman and very talented cook.

Being the only Filipino restaurant in Southern AZ, J’s Kitchen def gets props. They’re lumpia is hella good and they make their own sweet chili sauce too! Plus, they have halo-halo and boba! The only drawback is they’re located all the way out in Sierra Vista. #filipinosrepresent #sarap

Great food and service and definitely best in the mall. They have changed their menu once so I might suggest not messing with that to much, but both times ordering Zi have liked the food. Hopefully a spot in town one day.

I love this place!!! It basically makes the food court at the mall do-able! So far I’ve had the cream cheese wontons, the bacon wrapped jalapeños, fried(bacon!!) rice, lumpia(!!!) and a pork main dish. All of it has been amazing! The staff is super helpful and friendly too!

What a delicious treasure this is! Sierra Vista has a gem in the the mall food court! This Food Network winner of Food Court Wars was delicious from start to finish! I am half Filipino and always grew up with my mom’s cooking and usually most places make their food really salty and greasy… but this place is fresh and has the taste of homemade cooking! It was my fiancé’s first time trying their ADOBOCHICKEN and Lumpia and he absolutely loved it! I had their PANSEAREDCHICKEN and VEGGIEROLLS and wow! It was made to order and just so yummy! If you’re looking for some ethnic Filipino food, this is definitely the place! They also have a very friendly and helpful staff so 5STARS all around! The only thing is that they do make the food fresh to give it the best quality, so you may have to wait a bit, but it’s definitely worth it!

So I came here for some good food, since I didn’t get to try some during food court wars due to the lack of food. Which I was devastated about. My mind was set on Kadooks because that was the food I was able to get on the crazy night. A few weeks later Food Court aired and was excited to see if my friends from Kadooks were gonna win. Sadly enough J’s Kitchen prevailed and won the competition. From that note I wanted to try the food, you know? Just to see if they are what they are. My visit was June 30th I was not hungry but I am very adventurous and open about food. I ordered the Sticky Rice Cake. Now I’ve had Filipino food. Lots of it! There is a large Filipino community in Sierra Vista. While I was waiting for my rice cake I was staring at the place that could’ve been Kadooks. When my rice cake was finally ready which was about 45 seconds I walked up and immediately offered me samples of food. So I’m thinking«oh now they have food». I tried the lumpia and was impressed. It tastes just like how it’s suppose to be. Now I was happy. It was delicious and I even are a wonton. Yum yum! The owner even came out and talked about Food Court Wars and how fun it was. Overall the visit was not bad, I was underestimated about my views on J’s Kitchen but now I really enjoyed it and I will come back again and get more then a sticky rice cake!

Came here to try the food since they won food court wars. Had the avacado mango salad. It was good but not all the avacados were ripe leaving some undesirable hard pieces. Also had the«famous» spring rolls or lumpia. They were good but WHEREISTHEAWESOMESAUCE from the show food court wars. They had some dinky little cups of soy sauce and sweet and sour. Have to say the prices were good but overall im disappointed.

Flavorless food. Even used the sauces to see if that would help. BLAH! Not impressed at all.

I don’t see what all the hype is about. Went there today and they only had one entrée item on the menu the pork adobo. The rice was overcooked and the adobo lacked flavor. My only guess is it’s toned down for the food court crowd. The lumpia were by far the smallest I’ve ever seen. In my opinion this place is a pass.

I can understand how J’s Kitchen won the Food Network’s Food Court War at the mall in Sierra Vista. I had the chicken spring roll and the coconut chicken. Both were very delicious; I especially enjoyed how flavorful and light the coconut chicken was. The staff is great — all smiles and very helpful — and all the food is made fresh daily. I will definitely keep going back so that I can try the full menu! To be fair, it is in a food court. There is only so much they can offer to hungry passers-by(I was there to watch a movie). So while there may be better Filipino cuisine available somewhere, J’s Kitchen is priced right, very convenient, and a delicious contrast to the neighboring Subway and Taco Bell. The Food Court Wars episode just aired on 22 May 2014 and the winner had to wait for that before they could open. I didn’t see the episode, but eating the food has to be better than watching it on TV!
