Super clean older place. Super nice owners! The place is clean and Cash only!
I had the Cheese Steak!!! It was the best I had since El Paso!!! Super delicious! Hubby had the Pastrami simple his style with fries!
All fresh made and super good.
Definitely the insider place to go!!!

I had heard about Jackson’s deli from a post on a local Facebook page. I had seen it several times since moving here and always thought I should go in and check it out. Today I made the decision to go, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I decided to get a gyro, because I have not had a good one in a very long time since moving to Arizona from New York. It is absolutely delicious!, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Fresh ingredients cooked right there and it’s a really casual environment. The owner is absolutely adorable, and it’s a great value for the quality of the food. Which is amazing. I will absolutely be back to try more of their menu options. In particular I am looking at a Philly cheesesteak. But I also might have to try their Chinese food. Yes. I said Chinese food

First, let me say, the folks who run this place are very, very nice. And I fully support quirky, divey, mom-​n-​pop, holes-​in-​the-​wall — regularly, in fact, as this small town excels at them — but how can I possibly do so if the food is gross? Call me crazy, but I generally draw the line at gross.
Maybe I got a bad sandwich; one that I could not get past a second bite of. And maybe my husband did, too, because he couldn’t finish his, either — even though that man has eaten live bugs and dirt (and much, MUCH worse) without batting a picky eyelash.
Flukes happen. But I just… no. Sorry. But no.

I ate here yesterday. It’s been a few years since I last ate here. The food is mediocre at best. The menu is confusing and all over the place. They only take cash too which is not good for business either. I ordered the gyro platter which came with French fries. The «lamb» was pre-​cut and nuked in a microwave. Not the best quality but edible. The fries were frozen but crisp when I got them. The overall gyro was alright but not close to what you would expect. The place was clean, with a dive establishment sort of feel. I do think the food is over priced for the quality of what you get.

Yeah, so there’s no Wi-​Fi, they only take cash, and the place is dated and probably hasn’t changed in 20 years.
But who cares, they serve a delicious cheesesteak, and they have very reasonable daily specials. Like five dollars for a sandwich and a side and a drink.
Oh yeah, and I can’t name another place in town that I can get a cheesesteak, Gyro, or sweet-​and-​sour chicken and have a beer with my meal — this is a real deli, –they serve beer!
This place definitely has character, and the people that run the place are old school, but really nice and friendly.
I think I’m going to like this place more and more, as it is truly a mom-​and-​pop place. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

Had the chicken cheese steak sandwich with potato salad. Was tasty and the service was pleasant. The owners will go out of their way to make you happy. It is truly a «dive» type place. Only complaint would be the «cash only» option. If you are looking for basic food and nothing fancy, this is the place.

If you are looking for a Denny’s, Perkins or any other chain ‘experience’ — you will not find it here. Here — you will find great (yes, sometimes unique) food and owners that care about you. Jackson has been serving great food for a long time. Not fancy but ‘real’ (sorry, I couldn’t think of a better word). Where else can you get a cheeseburger and fried rice (as a combo)? We have moved away and I miss his food quite often.

Today is 9/​11, a day of remembrance and poignant moments and I as a true value of independent restaurants I went to Jackson’s Deli to enjoy a great sandwich. As I approached the front door I first notice a huge surveillance camera above my head and I felt uncomfortable as am only 1 block away from the military base. The environment felt dark and stiff as if they try to cut corners on electric which makes me feel they due the same in the kitchen. I forced my self to stay, but as I went to pay — they are a CASH ONLY business. In most cases I enjoy these type of restaurants, but today is the day of TRIBUTE to our country and they are not willing to tribute my money into tax dollars… Then I must make an executive discussion an walk away and actually put my tail between my legs and support franchise restaurant that contributes my tax dollars back to our country.

I have been coming to Jackson’s for a long time. I always order a Bacon Cheeseburger with everything on it, a side order of potato salad, and of course a Strawberry soda.
First let me tell you what is awesome about Jackson’s: they have the best soda selection there is, from strawberry, to Crush orange soda, Cream soda, to Root beer, and a whole assortment of other anomalies that you used to drink when you were a child.
Second, the décor is wacko! Especially with a sign that says «If we’re not open, just stuff money under the door.» But it makes it that much more awesome, because it reflects the menu choices: how often can you order a cheeseburger, or anything else for that matter with a choice of fries, potato salad, or fried rice on the side?
This place is a hidden gem and is only frequented by locals. It’s pretty divey, so don’t be freaked out. It get’s warm in here too, and seating is limited. It can get a little pricey, but the portions are huge, and your belly will thank you. I have never been disappointed when I come here.

If you order anything to try this place make it the ham and cheese sandwich. It will blow you away at how good they can take a simple sandwich and put so many great flavors in it.

We had the cheese steak combo and it was amazing! It was BIG and the bread was good too! They do not cheap out here… I had fried rice for the side and it was also very good! Definitely coming back here :)

Been eating here for years. My parents even longer. Jackson and his wife are real nice peeps! Food is always on point. I usually keep it original with the gyros and philly. Fried rice is best in town. If yuu like a good philly or gyro it’s a must. Most people don’t know they have a breakfast menu. Really good. Patty melts are good too. Don’t forget too try their homemade sweet tea!!!

Hometown favorite. They have the best sesame chicken and pastrami burgers in town! The owners are super sweet, but only accept cash.

I went back a second time to have a Patty Melt Sandwich. It was delicious, and so was the side of Fried Rice. Same as before the owners were friendly.

Nice family owned business. Ordered the Reuben and club sandwich to go. Good food, good service, and prices.
Will go again.

This place rocks! I’ve been there twice and loved it. We are from Maryland and there’s a certain way we like our shrimp fried rice. Jackson’s nailed it!!! The servings are heaping and very flavorful. My husband likes their steak and cheese.

What a piece of poop this place is. First of all, it is a Chinese restaurant that poses as a deli. The menu is a confusing mess with items on it like fried rice, chicken cheese steaks, pork lo mein, BLT sandwiches, and tacos.
I got a chicken cheese steak that was made with stir fried pork and cheddar cheese. My buddy got a Gyro that had sour cream on it in place of the Greek tzatziki that is normally used (yogurt).
I still have the disgusting taste in my mouth, and to make matters worse, my lunch was $ 11.00 and my buddy’s lunch was $ 13.00. The food wasn’t worth $ 3.00! An average price for a great cheese steak is $ 5.00. I’m from Philadelphia, I know great cheese steaks.
Stay away from this place for American cuisine. My advise to the owners is stick with what you know, which is obviously Chinese food! You’re Chinese cook what you are good at and leave the deli sandwiches to the New Yorkers!

What a great place. It had to be one of the best hot pastrami I have ever had. The owner takes extra care to make sure you enjoy your meal. This is a must try if your in Sierra Vista.

Like the generic Tony the tiger would say, «IIIIITTTTTT’S FOOOOOD!!!» There’s a lot on the menu and I’ve had the gyro, fried rice, and pastrami sandwich. Each thing tasted like it should but didn’t really stand out. If it’s not on the menu, my guess is they’ll try and make it for you anyway. Very nice people. I wouldn’t say it’s great but it’s not bad.

this is my go to gyro place south of phx. BE WARNED that their gyros come with cheese tho… i’m not a fan, but if you are, enjoy. these puppies are so over stuffed with tasty goodness that i end up sharing half of it with my dog and we BOTH end up as super happy campers. i went tonight and the ADORABLE little old man who works there made fries fresh for me AND filled up my sweet tea (!!!) before he opened the door for me to head home and enjoy my grub.
they have cheap (like…25 cent) books there to buy… or just read while you wait. and they also have candy and stuff for sale… really cheap and random enuf that they might have something for everyone.
they do only take cash tho… totally worth the stop at the atm!!! you MUST try this place!!!
