If dining in a shopping center is not incongruous to you, you’ve gotten over the one obvious potential barrier to enjoying D’Jeet – at least as a destination restaurant. Granted, it’s an upscale, attractive shopping center as far as they go, but there it is. A few steps from Pottery Barn… And while the simple and casual interior itself befits the nicely kept setting, and there is an attractive enough small outdoor seating area, we’re still talking huge parking lot adjacent. My bias(I’m very susceptible to atmosphere and like it to fit my mood.) aside, there’s a varied, changing, vegetarian friendly-ish menu. Goat cheese fritters with apricot jam and honey were half responsible for our visit and would lure me again. We dined around Christmas, with a live musician performing. Was surprisingly unobtrusive – far less so than the recorded music and crowd noise in some Red Bank restaurants. Due to its setting and distance from home, D’Jeet would far more likely function for me as a utilitarian stop, taking the place of somewhere less impressive(like grabbing slices or stopping at a convenient chain restaurant when out for a day or evening and pressed for time) as opposed to a true dinner destination. But that’s not a bad thing or complaint. Not really anyway. And I’m sure enough locals, shoppers, and those less affected(Choose your definition…) take advantage of its convenience and are rewarded for it.

Ordered for the first time today, wife and I both had the«Joey» sandwich with side salad. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Went on a friends recommendation and boy was it worth it. Can wait to go back and try some more of this gem!

Lovely dinner tonight with the girls. I wish we had something off the dinner menu but we all had house salads with grilled chicken or salmon. My salmon was delicious and perfectly made with the right touch of spices. The house salad had a great variety of vegetables from chick peas, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, cucumbers and most most delicious beets. The coffee they serve to the table from a coffee press and it is so darn good, I would have drank more… but it was 9pm. The manager and staff were so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return. I was fortunate a couple months ago to be invited to a fabulous dinner party catered by D’Jeet. The food was very good. Party goers were happy and so were the hosts.

It’s a great lunch place to stop by when you’re done shopping. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a variety of food to choose! However, maybe I went on an off day, because everything I ordered was overcooked and tasteless. I ordered the fungi pizza. The flavor combinations are on point, but it needed something more. It was the driest thing I put in my mouth, besides a cotton ball. They re-fired the order, and it still came back with the same quality. I tried some of my friend’s truffle fries, and it was a salt bomb in my mouth. The place is super cute, but I don’t think I’d eat there again.

Nice dining option with many healthier dishes. Their take out looks good too. Soups were good Nice waitress. However, steer clear of menopausing hostess or she might eat you alive.
