Stopped into Sonnys for a quick lunch while headed to Dallas and I am glad I did. They feature perfectly fried catfish with a great cole slaw, hush puppies and a side of red beans to boot. If your on the interstate and looking for a good local meal serving fresh catfish this is the spot. They feature blackened and grilled options also.

Don’t let the exterior fool you. This is a great locally owned restaurant. The blackened and grilled fish and shrimp were delicious. The fries were fluffy and the rice thoroughly cooked. It didn’t get 5 stars because the hush puppies were cold and 1⁄9 shrimps wasn’t cleaned properly. The staff is young and eager for feedback so I bet this never happens again. Give this restaurant a try!
