Caveat: Two stars for not being over seasoned. This place started out bad and ended worse. We were seated with a party of 5 and began to look over the menu with children and adults. The server told us there was no kids menu so we decided to order a small pizza for each kid thinking it’d be about 5 slices each. We told the server we wanted small pizzas for each of three children and she did not take the time or care to enlighten us to the abundance of our order(con’t later). My friend’s calamari tasted especially fishy. Noted. Food comes out, 3 small pizzas for 3 seven year olds equates to about 1.5 large pizzas. It’d have been nice to know since we are traveling. I had to ask for my wife’s spaghetti and meatballs to be brought out, after everyone else had been eating for several minutes. Server didn’t come check-up or it could’ve been corrected sooner. Spaghetti and meatballs came out with the manager as spaghetti with meat sauce because, «that’s what you told the server at the bar.» That’s correct, which means she never wrote it down when my wife actually ordered it. Drinks were empty for the first 20min, tickets were mixed up. Oh, the food was mediocre. Chicken prep was obviously this morning and over done. I will not be back, I suggest you choose cautiously when considering this place. I’ve given very few bad reviews. This one was well deserved.

Amazing food and atmosphere! I was very surprised after pulling up and seeing the building but inside was well decorated and the food was the best Italian I’ve had in Shreveport.

Food was bland and lack luster. Server was very good though. Breadsticks were good Pasta combo all tasted the same, not very good. I’ve tasted canned marinara better than this and everything is swimming in it. Minestrone tasted homemade but was a different style than we are used to. Margarita pizza my husband claimed was good but I’m pretty sure he was just really hungry. It barely had any basil on the pizza and when we asked for more we were brought wilted slimy basil pieces. I tried to eat a whole piece but just couldn’t do it. The pizza crust and cheeses were very good quality it just wasn’t executed correctly. With the right seasonings this had very good potential. Maybe we are just used to southern Louisiana cooking because this was not a 4 star in our opinion. Unilocal has rarely let us down but this was one of those few occasions.

Great to have a good Italian restaurant in West Shreveport. Unlike one review I found the Veal Piccata to be very good. The service is good and friendly and the prices are reasonable. I will go back here when I want good Italian.

First time and it was good. We ate at 6pm for dinner, my wife had the pasta combo and I had a small meat lover’s pizza. The crust was the best and there was plenty to take home. The bread was good, just wish we had olive oil and spices to dip it in. We’ll be back!

I’m still a fan but, the food wasn’t on par with my last visit. Previously, I really loved their complimentary rolls and wanted to come back for them. Tonight, I went there at 9.20 pm. as they were still open. The rolls were pretty hard and not as soft as before. This time, my favorite chicken alfredo pizza, did not impress me much. Something was wrong. Maybe the cook was in a hurry to go home since they close at 10 pm. If that was the case, and they were not able(or happy) to make the food, they should have told me to come back later. Tonight they hurt my feeling a little bit, their rolls and chicken alfredo pizza won’t be something I will be longing for anytime soon.(sob sob) Because of the lack of consistancy, I took one star off. However, their pink sauce and pasta combo were okay. Their service was nice as always.

Everything is good here and the staff is friendly. The inside is a bright red with a curved hallway. It’s like walking into a red cave. My son likes the fun look of it. Try the pink sauce! You won’t be sorry!

There’s that running joke about those tourists in NYC who stop and ask for directions to Olive Garden, and the local replies, «How about I give you directions to an actual Italian resistant?» Roma’s is that restaurant. Friendly staff, great management, AMAZINGGENUINEITALIANFOOD, and great atmosphere. For a post-church lunch crowd, we were immediately seated in a spacious booth.(There were only three of us, but I think we could have sat eight comfortably.) Angela, our waitress, was a delight. She was very attentive to our needs, despite the fact that she was probably waiting several other tables. The ROLLS. Oh sweet lord. You’ll forget any other breadstick/garlic roll whatever once you bite into one of these fluffy guys. I glanced around and saw most tables had a pizza, so I ordered the chicken alfredo. The SMALL is a twelve-inch. Probably the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. To my despair, I couldn’t finish it in one sitting, but thank goodness I could take it home in a to-go pizza box(amazingly convenient, good thinking you guys). And I may or may not be eating some of it as I type this… My dad is a Ron Swanson type. Very red-blooded, carnivorous American male. He got the spaghetti with Italian sausage and loved it. My mom picked off his plate every chance she could! However, her stromboli was vey delicious, as well. We were all happy campers. The manager came by twice. First, he checked on us to make sure everything was fine. Then, he came later with the check, apologized for the delay, and when he overheard me mention tiramisu, he brought out a complimentary one as an apology for the«delay.» Honestly, we’ve had *much* longer waits at other local places, and we understood that with a Sunday crowd, there will be a wait anywhere you go. Overall a pleasant experience. I have probably found my go-to Italian place, and I have a feeling I’ll be making friends and coworkers come here time to time. You guys rock!

Being retired my husband and I travel through Shreveport several times a year to visit our son and his family in Texas. This evening was the first time we ate at Roma Italian Bistro which we used Unilocal to find. From now on, It will definitely be our favorite place to eat. The food was served hot and was delicious! Our waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful. The rest of the staff also made us feel welcome. We certainly will return our next trip through! We highly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian!

One of the best hidden gems in Shreveport. We loved that it is a bit out of the way and wasn’t too busy. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and my husband got seafood Alfredo. It was delicious! The piano music was very nice.

The food is great! Went here on a whim and it turns out it was excellent! The customer service was good. They even had a lively pianist when we were there. It seems pretty popular so i would make a reservation on the weekends.

Decent just about sums up the experience here. The restaurant itself is very attractive with red being the primary color used throughout. The staff we encountered were all nice and welcoming. Once seated they brought us some breadsticks that, while having a good taste, were just about hard enough to chip a tooth on. Still not sure if it was the type of bread or if it was just stale. Also the water they brought us had a bad taste so it must have been tap. We live nearby and our water tastes bad too so we have to filter it. They’re gonna have to start filtering theirs too or go bottled. I got the veal parmigiano which was only mediocre. It’s much better at Monjunis. She got the eggplant parmigiano with the dish still boiling and a warning not to touch the plate. So… microwaved. Sorry but we don’t go out to eat to get a microwave dinner. This’ll be a one-time visit.

Roma has a great floor plan. Half casual and half bar. Family friendly and lots of seating. Family owned and operated. Come see for yourself.

Really liked this place. When I asked what the closest to my favorite vegetarian dish was on the menu, the server told me to write down the ingredients and they could make it for me since everything is hand made in the kitchen. That’s impressive. Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are definitely not handmade in the restaurant, but still a good meatball. ‘Small’ pizza is huge, so kids can share. My pasta trio was very good. I loved the cannelloni and manicotti especially. Definitely will be back.

This place is great! So happy it opened up here. Me and my husband were hoping a good restaurant would open up in the area and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We ordered the lobster ravioli to split and pizza split into Half BBQ and half spinach. We added side salads. Everything was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back.

Wow, the prior 2 reviews are 5 stars and are obvious shills. I mean c’mon one reviewer’s name is «Review S». How long until Unilocal yanks those off. Anyway, my coworker and I came in to see how the new place is faring and to see if any wait staff was still around from Albasha. The décor change was minor and the staff seemed new, oh well. Food: My coworker ordered veal and said that it was very tender and a texture that he has not experienced yet. In his words” This is either the greatest veal ever made, or its not veal at all or it must be really off”. Since he is still here, I assume it worked out ok. I ordered a small pizza and a meatball sub. The pizza was huge even for a small and was pretty good. The meatball sub on the other hand screamed«Sam’s Club». Now I don’t have any proof and since I am not Gordon Ramsey with access to the kitchen and fridge, I can only assume that the meatballs came from a frozen bag. Why? Well these were smallest balls I have ever seen(queue joke«.sometimes the bull wins»). Usually handmade balls in an Itallian restaurant, even a small shack are large(think diameter closer to baseball than golf ball). When you bite or cut into the ball you can see the texture. Well here they looked machine made and perfectly ground. On top of that, I have NEVER seen any place cut up meatballs before putting them in a hoagie. Hell even Subway just drops them in. I suspect they do that so it would be easier to nuke them in the microwave. Service: Ordered a beer(some local Shreveport brew), keg was out so they brought out about ¾ of a glass and said it was on the house. A short time later they found a new keg. Waiter took the glass away and topped it off. Ordered a second glass later on. Now came the guessing game: Will they charge for one or two? Well they charged for two, even though the waiter said first one is comp.(Seinfeld plot?) Coworker ordered a side salad which never came. Waiter apologized and offered a pretty funny excuse. I guess he had to make the salad himself and just forgot. Waiters make the salads here? Overall: There are several other locations outside of town, so they must know what they are doing I guess. Given my meatball experience and my coworker’s texture issue with veal, I assume they either bring in frozen food and warm it up. Precook and warm it up, etc. Outside of the great tasting fresh bread, not sure what else on the menu is actually prepared fresh. For me, this comical visit was one and done.
