I’m done with this place. Customer service has been improved slightly but the lack of quality employees and proper supervision leaves me wondering what I’m paying for. I’ll drive to north market from now on.

My review is based on a delivery that took over an hour to arrive. Ordered the Hog Heaven and Veggie Specialty Pizzas. The flavors were okay on both but being delivered cold just killed any chance of making this edible. We also ordered the cheese sticks with nacho cheese sauce that people raved about in reviews. There was no sauce with our sticks and they were cold. I would not recommend delivery service. Maybe it’s better in person. Who knows, not gonna try when I am back in town.

I love Johnny’s Pizza! My #1 favorite on their menu is the Sweep the Swamp followed close behind by their Sweep the Kitchen. Johnny’s Pizza is the pizza I grew up eating and I still love it to this day. I really miss the location that was on Buncombe Rd near Pines Rd. Everything there was perfect, from the friendly employees to the carefully prepared pizza. They carefully distributed the toppings over the pizzas and were generous with them. The tables were well bussed and the restaurant was always clean. So… I tend to compare the other Johnny’s locations to what I grew up on. Here, I enjoy the pizza. It’s the same sauce, crust, and fresh ingredients. The application of the ingredients tends to be very sloppy with some completely bare areas and they aren’t as generous with the ingredients. Some bites will just be cheese pizza and occasionally just pizza sauce. That doesn’t bother me so much when I’m eating from the buffet as I just leave those bites and grab another slice. So yes, we get the buffet here. The buffet prices are very reasonable and the little kids are priced at 40 cents per year of age. The employees at this location are friendly when approached but I find them to be less professional than they should be. 1st, refer to above, no pride in their pizza art. The tables are seldom bussed until there are no longer any empty tables without stacks of dirty dishes on them. When they do come out to buss the tables they spend more time stopped and leaning against a booth watching TV than they do working. When they finish, the tables frequently have dirty streaks on them and they overlook the dropped food on the seats. On a more positive note, if there is something not on the buffet which we have a craving for, if I ask for it they will make it right away and get it out to the buffet. Also, they are pretty good about monitoring the buffet and keeping it stocked. It’s good enough that when we are in that area(usually because we are taking our kids to Kid City) and the kids want pizza, this is where we go.

Passing through and ordered a 12″ deep pan pepperoni pie. One of the worst pies of my life! The dough was really under cooked and flavorless, barely any pepperoni on it. VERY disappointing and threw it away after 1 piece after finding the whole thing mostly raw dough.

Was passing through and wanted to try a local pizza. I was disappointed. Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. There was a ton of ranch dressing as the«pizza sauce» and limited toppings. Didn’t check the box upon receipt of the delivery, but all of the white mess slid to one side of the pizza. Thank you delivery driver. Also no napkins or utensils and they were needed. The boneless chicken wings– don’t waste your money or time… Chicken nuggets with buffalo sauce drizzled on it… nothing special — sad, hungry, and out $

I like the pizza. I got a regular crust with extra cheese, sausage, mushroom, pepper and onion. Tastes like breakfast sausage on the pizza(hint of sage), which was actually pretty good. Overall a good pizza. Recommended!

While we found our pizza good it was not delivered hot. A nice local pizza experience over the known chains. Would go pick up next time.

This place SUCKS! if you order and pay with credit card they make you tip in ADVANCE? and then the driver delivers yours last cause why not — you already tipped — so you get the last delivery and its cold and old and no one cares cause you tipped in advance. The alternative is to not tip and then the drivers learn your address and know you never tip and spit on your food. do yourself a favor order from dominos — the food is not good here anyway. worst mufelletta ever, so sad to see a small company go soo wrong.

Horrible customer service for delivery. Professed 1 hour, but obviously that is not a priority. When I called to question why, manager refused to speak with me, stating she was too busy. Cancelled and ordered Dominos. They were here in 30 minutes.

Decent pizza, but limited lunch buffet. Service is non-existent: no one busses the table, get your own drink, etc. Overall pizza is ok and selection is pretty good, given the actual small size of the buffet. Not many options in the area for a quick lunch, so between this place and CiCi’s, either a good option. This place is a lot quieter than CiCi’s, which packs in kids during lunch time

Johnny’s Pizza is ok. It’s by far from my favorite and not really even middle of the road when it comes to quality. The crust tasted like a freezer pizza crust I put in the oven at home. The somewhat redeeming item on the menu is the Sweep the Swamp pizza. I like the idea of it much more than I actually liked the pizza. If I find out somewhere else has a similar pizza, I would much rather order there than here again. But bonus points for creativity.

Seems to be a Louisiana institution. Ate here on our way through. Funky, casual, friendly. In a strip center, blink and you miss it. Love the hidden video poker room. Pizza was different, good and non-corporate. Muffaletta Sandwich is great. Skip the buffet, order off menu.

There is NO other pizza on earth like Johnny’s. It’s even difficult to describe, not NY style, not Chicago, not artisan pizza, but not typical delivery pizza. Mmmm… not thick or thin crust… just inbetween with a spicy tomato sauce that must have some magical secret ingredient because the taste of their pizza is very distinct. I grew up on Sweep the Swamp since that was my Paw Paw’s favorite and we would go to the location off Pines and play video games and I always wanted the salad bar just because I thought it was cool that it was in a bathtub. Oh, childhood. But, my favorite now is just pepperoni… and I have HAVE to get breadsticks with cheese sauce! Those stix are drenched in garlic butter and they are salty, buttery heaven and then the cheese sauce that comes with it is tha shiznit!!! Spicy cheese, but not nacho tasting… you just have had to have it to understand what I’m talkin’ ’bout. Never had the buffet and I just don’t like buffets anywhere, of any kind. I’m wierd about them — there’s only 2 in Dallas that I frequent. But anywho… just order breadsticks, pizza and get a quarter muffy to taste and you will know the goodness that is Johnny’s.

I’m sad and utterly shocked to be giving Johnny’s two stars(but it’s just for this location). I fucking LOVE Johnny’s. Johnny’s is an institution in LA. I spent more hours than I can count drinking beer and eating Sweep the Kitchen’s(or my preferred, Sweep the Swamp) and cheesy bread. Then why am I kneecapping one of my beloved pizza joints? I got sick as a fucking dog after eating at this location’s buffet last week. Scene: A spur of the moment stop for lunch after seeing the sign on I-20. A starry eyed business traveller intent on grabbing a small pizza to eat on the way home. But, what’s this? A lunch buffet? For $ 7 bucks? He saunters past the dingy tables and pays his bill. First up, cheesy breadsticks. Tasty. He grabs several slices of pizza from below the heating lamp(**warning one – the heat lamp was putting out as much heat as Bill Compton’s ballsack). He sits down, and takes a bit of his room temperature pizza(**warning two – room temperature pizza at 1:30 in the afternoon is a big no-no) and thinks«WTF? Eh, it’s pizza. There’s not going to be a problem.» He scarfs his lunch and hits the road, finishing his 3 hour drive back to Dallas to pick up his son from band practice. Cut to 3.5 hours later: Gas station bathroom. *eeks* Cut to 6 hours later: Abdominal cramps, vomiting, semi-permanant residence in the home bathroom for the next 12 hours. Moral of the story: FIXYOURFUCKINGHEATLAMPS. Don’t eat the buffet; grab your shit fresh from the ovens.

Johnny’s pizza is probably one of the best places to get pizza in Shreveport. It is unique. You should try the«sweep the kitchen» pizza, which is as good as it sounds(better actually). They have a buffet, which is convenient, but the pizza to order is better. trust me. and eat it while it’s hot or it’s not as good.

So, in making my hometown favorites list, I noticed I had yet to review Johnny’s –which literally would have me exiled from my family if anyone found out. I can’t describe it to you if you are not a local. It’s the hometown favorite, we were all raised on it, and if you visit the facebook page you will see that there are people literally across the country posting EVERYDAY begging for a Johnny’s to open in their city/state. You can only find them in No La(that’s North Louisiana, not NOLA aka New Orleans, FYI) but they have recently come as far as East Texas, which has provided a glimmer of hope to Johnny’s fans everywhere. They have their own unique pizza, like nothing you’ve had before, as well as kick ass breadsticks(not unlike papa john’s variety, only slathered with garlic and butter, mMMMMMMmmm) as well as cinnamon sticks for your sweet tooth. They offer eat in, but take out is best — especially when on road trip from Dallas to Baton Rouge(LSU football, baby!) Make sure you call it in around Longview and it will be piping hot and ready to go by the time you exit Pines Rd. It’s cheap, fast and DELICIOUS — and they also sell T shirts if you want to be recognized as part of the club. Johnny’s fans are everywhere, and no doubt you will be stopped in the streets if you are wearing a Johnny’s shirt outside of Louisiana. No trip home is complete without a stop for some Johnny’s!

Very good pizza! The crust was thin, but very tasty. It seemed to be baked to perfection because the cheese was brown, but not burned on top. I’d definitely get their pizza again. The location was a little scary to visit after dark because you have to ring a buzzer to enter since the doors are locked«for your protection.»
