Bed Bug Bites suffered the night of Friday, January 22, 2016, at Hampton Inn Shreveport South on Millicent, Room 210. I had not stayed at another hotel since May, 2016, when I stayed at this same hotel! So they came from there. Dermatologist on Monday, January 25, confirmed the high probability of bed bug bites on my left lower back. The hotel manager said that she would have their insurance company call me and that the room was being treated. To date, I have not heard from an insurance company or anyone else from Hilton that I have tried to contact. Maybe the room was treated and maybe it wasn’t, and I have read that beg bugs can be dispersed through vacuum cleaners. Beware! Right now I have no support or protection.

Nice hotel overall. I love what Hampton Inn is doing with their décor. This hotel is in a great location. No fridge in the room is a bummer(it’s available for an up charge) and the hot tub was not hot or functioning very well. I would recommend this property.

I usually stay at Hampton Inns and have a very pleasant experience but this time, not so much. Out of the 4 Hampton Inns in the Shreveport area, 2 allow smoking so those were out, and the other one was 30 min from my dinner reservation so I went with this one, even though it was $ 20 more. It was NOTWORTHTHEMONEY. Upon entering the hotel, everything looks nice and new and modern, but it is a veneer that can not cover up the lack of attention to detail in maintenance and cleanliness that I expect from an establishment that is supposed to be in the hospitality industry. Room looked nice when we first walked in, but when I visited the rest room I found a painful surprise when I went to shut the door — the metal part of the lock in the handle had broken off, leaving a jagged metal piece right where your thumb goes to close the door. In the morning I found a straight pin on the floor next to my suitcase, thank goodness I was wearing shoes. My shower also had some surprises — hair still on the sides of the shower and shower curtain with multiple holes and gashes in the clear plastic part. Really — see this every day in cleaning and choose to leave this shower curtain up? The biggest disappointment was the fitness center. Since I specifically chose a hotel with a fitness center so I could get in my morning workout, I was pretty peeved to find that out of the 3 treadmills, 2 were not functioning. The lady on the one functioning treadmill informed me that she had trouble with those and had to ask the girl at the front desk to turn them on. Back to the front desk I go and make the request. The girl was nice enough and came back and reset the machine and paused it for me to step on, but it wouldn’t restart at all, I called it quits and hit the recumbent bike instead. it wasn’t all bad; the bed was fine, I slept well and breakfast was fine. They had a very nice attendant who made sure my husband and I had enough coffee. I’m just not happy that I spent much more than I would have at other Hampton Inns due to the location and ended up with some unacceptable issues in any hotel.

Terrible customer service! Booked based upon Unilocal reviews, but found a rude front desk. We asked if it was possible to extended our stay, was informed that the hotel cannot process these types of request and for us to check with the travel service, which we booked our hotel to process additional days. What hotel turns down revenue in this economy? Secondly, we reached our room to find housekeeping relaxing and watching television! Utterly Unprofessional!!! I have never been treated so rudely! We will be in touch with the cooperate office directly, would love to spend my money with a brand that respects its customer! A beautiful hotel marred by nasty front desk!

I usually love the hampton inn however, I am pissed with the customer service I recently received. My family and I just drove cross country and stayed each time at a hampton inn. I received a call from a person who was very pleasant named Nathan who informed me that I left some items in the hotel room. He asked for my credit card number and assured me that he would give to his manager to fed ex to me. This was nearly a month ago. I have exhausted my calls to them because each time I am given the run around. I finally spoke with the manager Joey who didn’t have a clue where my items were. He said Joey put them back in lost and found and now doesn’t remember which items were ours. I am so unhappy with this. I am very careful with my personal info being given over the phone. Joey acted like he could care less how I felt about my personal items and info floating out there. This year alone we’ve stayed at nearly 10 different hampton inns in various states and this experience has left me and my family very bitter. My next step is to reach out to corporate and if still not satisfied bbb.

Came to Shreveport for a family reunion and stayed here. Definitely one of the better experiences we have had in Shreveport and best location in terms of food and safety. Hotel room was small but clean(checked for bed bugs and other signs of anything nasty… none found thankfully). Complimentary breakfast was not impressive but can’t complain since it was free. Would stay here again if we had to come back. although we try to minimize traveling here, lol.

This is within walking distance of the movie theater, across the street from Wal-Mart and next to the hospital. South Shreveport is the«nicer» part of town. I’m not much for the casino so this fits my needs perfectly. Also, this is literally the nicest Hampton Inn I’ve stayed in to date

Great place to stay. I was here for business for 4 nights and was very pleased. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep, the hot breakfast was very nice, the staff was helpful and friendly. This is one that I will add to my list of places to stay.

I am a bit of a hampton inn fan in general and have stayed in many during my travels, but this is probably one of the nicest I have experienced The rooms were clean and nice, the lobby was actually kinda hip and the breakfast seemed to go slightly above and beyond the usual hampton standard fare. In addition it had all the usual amazing hampton inn elements: great bed, high quality pillows, good shower, big TV, free breakfast, nice staff, and snack shop room thing. That said the area in which it is located is a bit depressing since is in a strip mall of sorts.
