Great little place with friendly staff and delicious yogurt! We went to the laundromat near by and stopped in here on a Unilocal recommendation and I’m so glad we did. They have sandwiches and things as well, but we wanted to try their yogurt and it is soooo good! They only have«plain» flavored, but then they have so many toppings to put on it makes it unique and delicious! Great place definitely recommend!

One of our favorite healthy meal options in Shreveport! The food is delicious and the people are friendly. I always get the tuna melt on jalapeño cheese bread. Yum! You can’t go wrong with a Humphrey yogurt either!

Actually, I give Counter Culture six stars! The trouble is, I have recently moved to Louisiana and am already addicted. If you’re looking for corn syrupy frozen goo that is piled with candy and other crap, Counter Culture isn’t your horse. This is frozen YOGURT. Like really, that’s what it is, Yorgurt that has been frozen. It SO delicious! It has protein and calcium and tastes like what it is supposed to! Typically, I just have a small plain yogurt, but for a treat, the Humphrey is divine! It is yogurt, with honey, cut up fruit, and granola. Sensational!

I love Humphreys but I prefer the Youree drive location. At this location they either don’t have my blueberries or they are rock-hard frozen. :/the servers are always nice though. :)

I get it five stars just for the unique yogurt! It’s so delicious! With any fruit imaginable to put inside it adds a magnificent twist. The food isn’t the best to me. More on the bland side, but not bad! This location isn’t my favorite because it’s extremely cluttered inside, but I like the wonderful outside seating! Overall really nice though.

Most people come here for the yogurt, but I’m here to tell you that the turkey sandwich is fantabulous. I ordered it by recommendation of the counter clerk and boy was she right! It was chock full of turkey and toasted with tomatoes and a chipotle mayo. I’d come here again and happily order lunch and get some yogurt too.

Two words«tuna melt». Get it on a jalapeño cheddar bun and you’ll have attend a few NA meetings to stop thinking about it every five seconds! I’ll up my ratings when they take a chisel to the bird crap draping the outside dining area like fresh snow. Use the drive thru!

Great yogurt. I made a mistake & forgot a Humphrey in my car. It melted and I put it in the freezer. That didn’t work. So, enjoy Counter Culture as soon as you can and don’t make the mistake I did.

Okay, we all know how good the Humphrey is, and it is good! The thing about Counter Culture is, they are proud of it, too! Order a large Humphrey and throw in tax and tip and you are talking eight bucks! That’s right, $ 8! For yogurt! Yes, it’s good! Yes, there’s nothing else like it! Yes, I love them as much as any other frozen treat, next to Geauxsicles, and a Geauxsicle(see my review) will only set you back just a shade over three dollars! Look, I love the Humphrey, you love the Humphrey, we all love the Humphrey, all I’m saying is, it’s a little pricey for what it is, is all. I also love the sandwiches at Counter Culture, particularly the Avocado Delight(sliced avocado, on wheat, dressed with mayo, sprouts, tomato, lettuce and cheddar cheese) which is simple, clean and delicious! It is a perfect summer sandwich and can act as an appetizer for your Humphrey. I am somewhat of an avocado ho bag anyway, I loves me a good avocado and this sandwich gives me my fix! I love it! The cost of the sandwich with tax is around six dollars! I could get a footlong sub at Subway(now with guacamole! Yay!) for 5 bucks! So here’s the thing about Counter Culture, yeah you walk out of their feeling like you ate a light lunch, but it’s actually your wallet that is lighter, because, big surprise to you, you just spent fifteen bucks or more on a small sandwich and some yogurt! Heck! You could’ve gone to Superior Bar and Grill for lunch for that! And that’s the thing! Yes, Counter Culture is good! Yes, we love it! But it is, and I don’t think anyone can argue, deceivingly expensive! And yes, I do feel like I should be listening to Phish or Widespread Panic when I eat inside the restaurant, like I’m some sort of neo-hippie that should be twirling to the tunes of some jam band. Also, Counter Culture finally accepts debit-credit cards and they do offer delivery through , by the way!

This location is THE place to take out of town guests! The Humphrey is always great, the sandwiches are always good! Its small and kinda funky — just what you want to make your guests kinda nervous… then BAM!!! Hit ‘em with a Humprey, biotch! They’ll be ecstatically surprised. Although I will say my father-in-law was overheard saying«it’s frozen yogurt, whats the big deal?» — I thought differently of him after that. There once was a location in Bossier City on Shed road that also had the best roast beef sandwich in town, but sadly its now something else. One of Shreveports Best!!!

I like the taste of the natural yogurt and the servings are generous HOWEVER— this particular location is the stickiest place in Shreveport. The teens who work here should hit the table, chairs and trash can with a hot soapy rag every once in a while! Since restaurants in Louisiana do not post their rating from the health department, I try to stay away from restaurants that consistently have cleanliness problems. I highly suggest the well-lit one that just opened on Youree Drive!

OMG! This is absolutely the best yogurt ever!!! The«Humphrey Yogart» is something that I treat myself to often. It’s like yummy in a cup, but without any guilt. Tart yogurt, fresh strawberries, blueberries, grapes, bananas, granola & honey… ummmmm. I discovered Counter Culture when I was an LSU student living in Baton Rouge in the early 80’s. I was so sad to leave my Humphreys when I graduated… :-(Was I ever delighted when they opened a few of them in Shreveport a few years ago. Wahoo! I predict that Counter Cultures will eventually be springing up all over the country. I’m just surprised they haven’t already!

Oh how I miss my Humphrey’s…don’t miss living in Shitport, excuse me, Shreveport… but I DO miss getting my humphrey! I try to make it at home but without their tart frozen yogurt, just doesn’t quite make it even with the same toppings — you’ll just have to go get one to see what I mean…

This one is a long time favorite in Shreveport and other areas of Louisiana. In Shreveport, the Kings Highway location has been around for what seems like forever, but they have since expanded to other parts of town. Of course, any newbie Counter Culture goer should try the famous Humphrey, a yogurt topped with strawberries, bananas, grapes, granola and honey. It is quite a delight a great place to take out of town guests. What is particularly nice about Counter Culture is that it is a drive-thru, great for those in-and-out lunches or snacks. They have sandwiches and other savory items in addition to the yogurt. I wouldn’t say their sandwiches are anything special, and I would stay away from the Pizzaletta. However, some of their sandwiches are is a nice alternative to the greasy fast-food drive-thru, while keeping at a reasonable lunch price range. As far as yogurt places go, I enjoy the plain tart yogurt and humphrey. Another great yogurt place to try is Yogilicious in Dallas TX, which I prefer slightly more.

The Humphrey is absolutely amazing. I would prefer one of those over almost any other ice cream or yogurt joint. It’s really delicious and relatively good for you. I think the actual food of this place is underrated, as most people go here for the Humphrey. They have some great sandwiches, and it’s a nice place to go for lunch. It’s a small place but the food is spectacular. The only thing I don’t like about this place is how early it closes.

I miss the«humphrey yogart» or whatever they call it here, and it has forever made me a fan of frozen yogurt ONLYIF it is the plain tart kind.

Okay, I think this was the originator of the Pinkberry craze. This place has been in business since 1977 and has served tart frozen yogurt since it opened. They are famous for their«Humphrey Yogart.» It’s the house speciality. It comes with three different fresh fruits(banana, strawberries, and something else). It’s topped with granola and honey. So here’s the scoop on how they build it. First, there is the yogurt layer in the mammoth-sized cup. Then they add the fruit, granola, and honey. Finally, they add one last dollop of frozen yogurt. It’s a mountain of a frozen yogurt delight and the locals just eat it up like there’s no tomorrow. My cousin told me this is the best stuff ever. In fact, on one occasion I was told that both Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had stopped here for a snack. Sadly on the occasion I went, I had just finished eating lunch at George’s and was too full to endulge in this concoction. However, I did order the plain yogurt with honey and granola. I had never had honey on my frozen yogurt before and let me tell you, it definitely adds yummy flavor to the granola and the yogurt. The yogurt here is so creamy in taste yet tart at the same time. I’m not sure how they are able to get the yogurt so creamy the way they do, but they sure know what they are doing here. If I ever get the chance to come back here I’m gonna try the Humphrey Yogart. FYI, they also serve fresh made sandwiches, soups, shakes, and smoothies. They also have a drive-thru, that’s very small. So once two cars are in line, it’s almost a gridlock. But I definitely recommend this place.
