Well, China Legend was an adequate go-to place in the past, BUT tonight the food was a definite fail. I ordered Lo Mein w/shrimp. It was soggy with absolutely no taste. Terrible. I threw it out. The only reason we ordered from here is because it was close to home. No more. I’ll drive the extra miles to go to Imperial Cathay. There is no comparison!!!

We have ordered takeout many times since they opened. Food always freshly cooked, hot, tasty and the staff is friendly. Prices are good. We are very glad to have them on Ellerbe.

Fresh, fast, and tasty. Our first visit. Daughter had seafood delight, I had shrimp w/garlic sauce. Seating for 34, busy at lunch, which is usually a good sign. Generous portion sizes, even when ordering from the lunch menu. Based on that, it’s a decent value. Highest menu item I saw was $ 10.45 for the seafood delight.

Great value for the money. Go in to order lunch and you will be taking ½ of it home for dinner. Food is cooked to order nothing pre-made as far as I can tell so freshness is not an issue. The one complaint I have is that there is a bit of a language barrier to overcome between the customers and staff.

China Legend recently opened its doors and is now serving all the usual dishes you’d find in pretty much any Chinese restaurant. They’ve got appetizers, soups, chicken dishes, beef dishes, seafood, noodles, and the list goes on and on. Don’t forget combination plates and lunch specials. But is it any good? In my opinion, it’s just fine. Don’t count on having a mind-blowing culinary experience(despite the«legend»), but if you want some tasty grub while you’re on the go, then this is a good spot for you. I have ordered pick-up twice now, and each time my food was cooked fast, was hot, and flavorful. On one occasion my order was not completely correct, but I think that’s because the person taking orders that night didn’t really speak English. My second experience went more smoothly. Prices are reasonable, portion sizes are large, and it’s nice to have China Legend as an option in this part of town. Welcome to the neighborhood!
