To all readers: make this a visit — you will enjoy the intimacy, ambience, service and dining experience! I had an extended time in Shreveport due to a later flight, so I came to Anthony’s for lunch… as I said I would if in Shreveport again. Well worth my trip, excellent table service, superb steak and fries. Anthony’s did NOT disappoint!!! Thank you again Chef!

Wow. The steak was cooked perfectly and service exceptional. Hats off to the Chef. It was a bit slow the evening I went, so the fried shrimp was not fresh, but with some melted butter it was fine. Check the wine specials on the table, they had a special on one of my favorite red wines but o had already order a different wine.

My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day 2015. The service was horribly slow, which did not make any sense because the restaurant was nowhere near packed. The restaurant had a reservations only policy for this day. Looking around I could see that were were several open tables. The wait staff could be seen just standing around, doing absolutely nothing. What made it worse was that the staff was very rude, to multiple customers, including those who had reservations. The salad bar was okay, not anything super impressive, although I was so hungry and the wait our main dishes took so long that I went back for seconds. I went to this restaurant for a steak, not rabbit food. On a plus note, the Chilean sea bass was very good; very light and fluffy, not at all overcooked. The steak was meh. Of all I’ve read about this place I was expecting a really amazing steak. I’ve had a bigger, better steak for half the price at the Texas Roadhouse in Bossier City. We also got the crab au gratin. This appetizer was beyond disappointing. It was like eating a mouthful of flour. In my experience, this restaurant is over priced and the food in general is sub par. The whole ordeal with the wait staff makes it difficult to give Anthony’s Steak and Seafood anything above 1 star, part of me thinks it doesn’t deserve any stars at all. I’m never going back here. One bad experience is all I care to endure from this place.

I saw a commercial and decided to try them out. Best Steak & Seafood spot in the area hands down! I had steak, lobster, and crab claws. The food was amazing. The service was amazing too. The restaurant itself is really attractive. I will DEFINITELY be returning.

This place ia great when there are only a few tables of people, but when this place gets busy the service stinks, so does the general attitude of some employees. The food gets a 5 the service 1, so I give it a 3.

We enjoyed our lunch here! The service was excellent, and the meal was perfectly paced. We started with appetizers: the stuffed head-on shrimp, and the Crab St Martin. Both dishes were beautifully presented, but my friends thought they were a bit too salty. I loved the seasoning. The salad bar was fresh, and the marinated mushroom, red onion, and pepper salad was a nice touch. Homemade potato salad and cole slaw were both available. Delicious bleu cheese dressing! The lunch portions of the fried shrimp, the seafood pasta, and the 8oz ribeye were all perfect. This is a family restaurant, and the pride shines through in every detail. The restaurant is clean, and the spotless crystal and flatware glisten on the linen tablecloths. There’s a nice wine list, and a full bar. We will be back!

Every year my parents take me to a place I have never eaten at before for my birthday. This place did not disappoint. Unassuming outside in an odd side of town, the food is something to definitely go back for. I will definitely be back! While we ate, the salad bar was immaculately attended to, and the wait staff made sure everything on our table was clean and kept fresh. I would have taken a picture, but we inhaled everything presented to us. Not a fancy crystal chandelier atmosphere, but the food is off the hook. If they fancied the place up, it would be worth the price, but they know their customers and keep the place as it is — hip and original to what they offer. Good food at great prices. Only thing keeping my rating from 5 stars is cat food at the side and two black cats at the entrance trying to come in with us.

This is a great restaurant with reasonable prices! We took my mom here for her birthday and we all enjoyed our entrees, bread, and drinks. The steak was cooked perfectly and the pasta was delicious The only complaints we had were that you are limited to one only trip to the salad bar and the appetizers are tiny, instead of being big enough to share. All in all, I would visit again for the perfectly done entrees and reasonably priced wine, but I would skip the appetizers.

We are from out of town and really want to try some nice cajun style food and saw pretty good reviews on Unilocal so decided to venture to Anthony’s. when we arrived we noticed it wasn’t open, but there is no sign that says closed in observance of the holiday and when we called to make sure there is no voicemail that says the place is closed for the day and the places is listed open on Unilocal.Would have loved not to have drive all the way there for a disappointment.

Often times, a dining experience is what you make of it and what perspective you choose to take so in this review, you can choose your point of view. Anthony’s is located: a. off the beaten path in an older section of town b. in a rundown section of Shreveport We were seated in the dining room which was a. cozy with an old New York atmosphere b. small and crowded with tables in close proximity to one another and big screen TVs on two walls. Is this a sports bar or a restaurant? The Maitre D’ a. appeared to be new to the job and while he could not answer our questions was very friendly and made an effort to assist while waiting for our server to arrive b. had no clue about the wines or the food and did not recognize Sapphire as being gin then asked«what does gin go in?» We ordered cocktails and appetizers. a. The gin and tonic was perfectly made and the Marinated Crab Claws were wonderful served with a small loaf of bread to dip in the excellent marinade sauce b. The Crab Meat Au Gratin was more like a dip but came with no toast points for dipping. When our dining companions asked about this, the server brought one of the small loaves of bread but the effect was not the same as would have been toast points, toasted bagels, or something similar. We ordered the entrée and were invited to help ourselves to the salad bar. a. Along with tossed salad, the salad bar had blue cheese crumbles, spinach, potato salad, macaroni salad, and a couple of other simple salads. b. Unfortunately, the tossed salad was Iceberg salad-in-a-sack that didn’t look too fresh and the blue cheese dressing looked like it had been sitting out for a while. When the entrees arrived a. The sea bass was perfectly cooked topped with a generous portion of lump crab meat and served with cheesy Au Gratin potatoes. The frog legs were OK and served with the same potatoes. The wine list was good and not over priced. b. While placing our order we asked the server if we could order any side dishes(i.e. broccoli or some other veggie) and she shook her head«no», but later we saw other diners with grilled asparagus. When the check arrived a. We were pleasantly surprised to see a reasonable(under $ 100) price for dinner for four(but only 3 entrees because one couple shared) b. Thought we should have ordered dessert and asked for a credit for the crab Au Gratin. In summary, I won’t go out of my way to go back to Anthony’s but if I were invited to go, I would not refuse to do so. Some serious improvements could be made by having knowledgeable servers to improve the experience, getting rid of the big screen TVs at least during dinner, and by replacing the«nothing to write home about» salad bar with a few high-end made-to-order salads. After all, it isn’t just the act of eating, it’s the experience.

The food was great. The service was great also. I had to knock off a star for following reasons. It took a very long time for the food to come out. We came just as they opened for dinner so maybe it took some time to get the grill heated up but we were getting bit impatient since we had skipped lunch. The stuffed shrimp was way too expensive for the tiny two piece that came out. I would definitely have passed on the shrimp. The steak was awesome. The sides were good. Too bad they limit trip to the salad bar. A second trip would have been great.

Coworkers and I had lunch here today. You can order off the menu or have a small buffett style lunch with 3 types of dishes and sides. Salad bar is very fresh and has a touch of everything to make a wonderful salad. Todays menu was Baked fish, Chopped steak with gravy or Shrimp, sauce with rice. Staff is very polite and lunch was wonderful. PS… Someone ordered a filet at another table and it looked wonderful. Will visit for dinner!

People in Shreveport should be flooding this place! Well, that is, if they want 5 star quality food! We are here on business and I am so happy we stumbled upon this quaint, family run gem of a steakhouse. I love steakhouses, but I especially loved this one because it’s casual. Sometimes you just want a fabulous meal without having to get fussy about dressing up. You can tell a lot of heart and soul goes into the food here and the service was extremely polite and friendly. The food was amazing. I had the stuffed shrimp, which were so tasty. It is listed as a 2 piece app, but they let me order it as an entrée. The stuffing was perfect and the shrimp was fresh. My husband had the 10 oz rib-eye. I could not stop eating his steak. WOW! Bottom line is: You MUST try Anthony’s!

Great, reasonably-priced steakhouse. We went to this restaurant yesterday evening and it was a wonderful hidden gem. The salad bar, included with your entrée, offers something for everyone, from spinach salad to mixed greens to potato or pasta salad. We made our own spinach salad with crumbled bleu cheese and bacon, yum. There are three choices of potato, also included with your meal. We tried the ones recommended by other reviewers and they were creamy and perfect consistency. The steaks are perfectly seasoned to still taste like beef, but not be bland, also great quality and could be cut with a butter knife(although I had a steak knife). They have three sizes of fillet; I ordered the small(6 oz) and still couldn’t eat it all. Ordering wine by the glass is much more reasonably priced than choosing a bottle, but they do have a nice wine selection if you prefer a more expensive wine. Service was good. I hope more will review this restaurant as it is really a treasure here in Shreveport.

Family owned and operated restaurant where Anthony himself makes your steak and his mom, sister or daughter takes your order. It was an old pizza inn 1970’s that they«updated«very clean & tidy. Any attire seems acceptable. Low key environment. Not a place to be scene like superior steakhouse– Just Great Food!!! You MUST get the au gratin potatoes
