Great place, I had the show low, my wife had the house. Good service, great taste! Burger was super juicy and tasty. Will definitely be back.

We stayed in Show Low for a family getaway and found The House through Unilocal.Couldn’t have been more pleased. We came on a Sunday at 11:30am and were the first ones here. We sat outside to enjoy the cool and breezy day. They have a great outdoor area with picnic tables and we played with the bean bag toss while we waited for our food(and while we ate). We got the roasted red pepper chips and they were amazing. The chips are thin and crispy, the toppings of red pepper and aioli were just enough to give good flavor but not overwhelm everything. Hubby and I shared the Founder and the pork was well flavored. I had to eat it as an open faced sandwich because of the amount of pork but that was fine. The kids got the burger and grilled cheese and both were very good. My eight year old said he gave the grilled cheese«10 stars». A really lovely afternoon with good food and great non-electronic entertainment for the kids.

Excellent ownership, excellent restaurant, excellent food! The bonfire shrimp is the bomb and the burgers, sandwiches, and black and white chili are all really good. Be sure to pick up a shirt or cap while you’re there, too.

You have found greatness on a bun! Less messy than Zenburger and bit more flavorful then The Chuckbox in Tempe. We will be making a 5 hour trip just to them in the future.

We were once regular visitors to the Pinetop area and a big downfall for the region was a lack of cool restaurants with high quality food. Things are looking brighter with this addition in Show Low. The cute building, creative, yet simple, interior design and gorgeous patio make this place feel so comfortable, hence«The House» name. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly at this restaurant. The menu had adequate variety and good options for the kiddos, but prices were a little high for the mountain. Most of the food that we tried was delicious, but the chili stood out the most. We also enjoyed their home made chips. Overall, this has got to be one of the best restaurants in the area at this time and it is surely worth giving them a try.

Let me say up front… I’m a «food snob!» But I wouldn’t call The House a burger joint. It is… But they classier than just a burger joint. Friendly atmosphere, decent food and not bad prices. We went for dinner, but it does seem more appropriate for lunch of mid afternoon place to eat. I ordered the«house burger», burger with a roasted whole pablano chili, pepper jack cheese fries onion strings and chipotle aioli. Better than average burger. The patty was cooked well and juicy, the onion strings were a good addition, but the pablano chili was stringy and slimy. The pepper just didn’t add much flavor. Maybe a green chili would’ve added more. Overall the burger was fresh and tasty. I’d order it again.($ 10). My wife had«The Founder», a pulled pork sandwich with tomato, spinach and green chili aioli. This one really failed. The pork was pretty much without any flavor. Tasted like it was sitting in water in the crock pot all day!($ 8). Both sandwiches came with potato chips, made fresh on the spot. I was expecting fries, but these were great. The big problem with just about everything(including the sandwiches and chips) had no seasoning. I’m all for low sodium, but I’m eating out! I want to taste it!!! My only other concern was that we got there after dark and sat inside. It was way to dark, the lighting was terrible. But on a warm day, this place has great outside accommodations. Great for kids! Will I go back? I’d like to go back to taste their salads or their chili. Give it a try is my suggestion!

Cute little place! I’m excited to see what they do with the backyard! Very, very casual atmosphere. You place your order at the cash register and find a table of your choosing. Be sure to remember to pick up your own napkins and plastic silverware before you take a seat. Food comes out in little cardboard«takeout» boxes – no plates to be found – which made sharing the appetizer between four people a little messy. We ended up using extra napkins as makeshift plates. FOOD: The shrimp appetizer is amazing– a little spicy, but not too much! I was impressed with the size of the portion, it was more than enough to get four of us started off just fine! Two of our party got the burger which they enjoyed and my husband had the chili which was good as well. I tried it and was a little underwhelmed. It almost seems like something was missing? but I just can’t quite put my finger on it… I had the Founder(pork, spinach and aioli) sand which and again– it was good! but, lacking a certain unexplainable something. Every sandwhich comes with a dill spear and chips. The chips are really phenomenal! probably my favorite of it all. All in all, I say Go check it out! And I’d love to go back and try some more things off the menu. It sounds like they have some plans in the future to make the place even better so we’ll definitely be back!

The House Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. My friend got The Founder and liked it so much he bought another to take home. Will be back.

This hidden little place is perfect treat after a long day of skiing. The chicken club sandwich is by far the best sandwich I’ve had in years. Healthy and fresh ingredients, accompanied with perfect homemade chips. I have now made it my goal to stop by every time I’m in the area.

Love this place! Great menu, service and nice selection of beers. The burgers were amazing and the coleslaw!!! Even the music was on fleek. I think the only thing that needs work are the fluorescent lights. It kills the mood, and makes it unbearable to look in certain directions, depending upon where you’re sitting.

If my buddy Rick was here to experience this place. My wife and I decided on this place. First impressions were pleasing. The house took the time to make a small house into a cute lil restaurant. The house burger is what I went with. Matthew knows his stuff. The burger was the best you can buy without any aftertaste and very thick. The sauce was a yummy oieole sauce with a great garlic flavor. It had a green Chile that gave it some great flavor and texture. We also tried the black and white chile. Wow… too much food. The Chile is very hardy. We are taking that home. The great thing is you eat the burger with out any condiments for flavor. Thus is. A place to try! I’ll be back in a few hrs. Yu.

Fantastic food at a less than fantastic price. First off, my family thoroughly enjoyed their burgers. Though, after spending $ 58 for 5 burgers and chips, I can’t see myself coming back on a regular basis. The House is a unique Show Low experience and a pleasant break from the predominantly Mexican food market. The sandwiches are wonderfully flavorful and tasty across the menu. I recently ordered the«Chicken of Clubs» and I was surprised by the rich flavor. Overall, it’s a great new American food joint! Check it out!

First time was pretty good. I had the house burger, which was really good. It was also pretty big. I also had a taste of the shrimp, which was good as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a really good burger

I enjoyed the food but thought the portion was small for the price. I do not like that they serve everything in «to go» containers. Also you have to get your own plastic wear to eat with. The staff mostly stayed in the back and seemed bothered when I asked for a fork. I don’t want to eat with plastic!

Another Unilocal find. The Show Low burger is «pretty fantastic!». The homemade chips are light, crisp, and delicious. The fritters are very good, also light and flavorful. On the other hand, the Founder was pretty average. There was very little sauce and the flavor was too light, unremarkable. Since the restaurant is a «yard bar & eatery,» I expected at least beer on tap but was disappointed to find only bottled beer and wine. Despite the very limited menu, we did enjoy most of their offerings.

Overall pretty good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. We sat outside, and I think that’s the way to go if weather permits. Outside there is a fairly large yard with games set up, and convenient drink holders. Inside is small but suitable. The food quality was above average for this area, prices were decent as well. A limited menu but all good choices on there, nothing I wouldn’t recommend just from reading it. I had the house burger and chips which had a great flavor. Will return again!

Great food made from scratch. Fresh ingredients and an excellent menu. Simple family fun as well. This will turn into a tradition. I had the patty melt and added a burger patty per staff recommendation. It was excellent. My boy had the chicken tenders and said that they were the best that he has ever had. I snitched a bite and he was right. This place is worth the stop. Now that I’ve had lunch here as well I’d like to point out that the House Burger is the best in Arizona. Onion strings. Chiles and a little aioli. Service is excellent. There is room outside for the kids to run and I think The House will be a staple for Show Low soon.

Absolutely delicious food in a really cool spot(even has a yard in the back with outside seating which is great when its it’s still 110 in Phoenix and you are lucky enough to be up in the White Mountains in September!) I had the chile which was super yummy but my favorite was the shrimp. They were able to make it gluten free for me(potato starch batter and a separate gluten free frier) and it was AMAZING. Best aioli sauce!!! I highly recommend getting the shrimp. The staff was also so friendly and warm. 5 stars! Great spot!!!
